Here’s what we’ve been up to:
Revamped and Animated Title Screen and Menus:
Updated all title screen and menu animations to much smoother, custom versions.
Optimized CRT FX across all menus for a sharper, updated look.
Added Dynamic Resolution Scaling:
Introduced a custom system that adjusts the game’s base resolution based on performance.
Can be toggled in Settings. This should help smooth out complex scenes and add extra detail in easier ones!
Added "Tailored" Settings Presets:
Built a bank of graphics settings presets based on specific GPU models.
The game now auto-applies the best settings the first time you launch!
Added as a selectable option in the graphics settings.
Added Full Support for AMD FSR:
Full support added for AMD FSR, up to FSR 4!
Includes configurable settings for extra control.
Started Finalizing Overall Optimization:
Began final optimization passes across all levels.
We’re getting very close to our FPS targets! (60fps on GTX 1060 TI at "high" settings, 60fps on 4060 TI at "unreasonable" settings, etc.)
Added Narration Scenes:
Added six fully narrated scenes to the Prologue!
Continued Ending Animations:
Continued animation work for Smile and Mime's ending scenes.
Continued 3D & 2D Asset Work:
Created seven new models and continued refining the last few assets still blocked out in the Prologue build.
Bug Fixes:
Squashed around 24 various bugs in the Prologue build!
Upcoming Focus:
Continue Debugging (Optimization Focus):
Main debugging team continues digging deep into optimization for the Prologue.
Finish Remaining Assets:
Complete the last few 3D and 2D assets still needed for the Prologue.
Finish Ending Animations:
Wrap up the final animations for Smile and Mime’s ending scenes.
Pass Polished Build to Playtesters:
Once the Prologue build is polished, we’ll pass it to a fresh round of playtesters for benchmarks, playtime estimates, and last-minute feedback!
