Here’s what we’ve been up to:
Added Narration Scenes to Prologue: Added in 8 narration snippets & 2 longer narration scenes to the Prologue. (2 larger scenes moved from full game, 8 snippets newly scripted & added in to fill in empty space and add small optional scenes)
Finished Final Lighting Optimizations in WaterWorks: Finished the final lighting optimizations for the baked lighting setup part of WaterWorks! (reduced reflection captures, lightmap reductions, various scalable settings added).
Started Final Lumen Optimizations in WaterWorks: Started the final lighting optimizations for the Lumen lighting part of Waterworks. (Including light placement, dynamic attenuations, dynamic draw distances, reflection quality, & smaller setting tweaks)
Continued Final Lumen Lighting Optimization in CM & BS: Continued final Lumen lighting optimizations for all of CM as well as BS. (Including light placement, dynamic attenuations, dynamic draw distances, reflection quality, & smaller setting tweaks)
Various Specific Optimizations: Added in additional scalable settings for reduced geo & Parallax swap outs. Optimized geo in various complex models. Optimized fog quality scaling (mainly in WW). Optimized Lumen light culling in various areas. Optimized various textures (reduced sizes where not needed). Planned out optimized level streaming to be implemented this week.
Bug fixes: Squashed ~16 smaller & bigger bugs in the Prologue build. (mainly related to new scene and puzzle additions in WW)
