I just wanted to take a minute to share what we’ve been up to this week and thank you all for your incredible support through everything that has happened lately. It means the world to me and the team to have such a passionate community by our side. Here’s what we’ve been up to:
Revamped Screen Distortion System: Optimized and streamlined materials and BP logic to bring a more polished experience and much more straightforward system internally.
Overhauled Narration System: Updated FMOD integration and BP logic for smoother transitions and more straightforward internal expansion.
Chase Scene Improvements: Now more naturally dynamic with checkpoint-based logic.
Lumen Lighting Optimization: Started refining dynamic lighting in the updated Playplace area.
Extended Prologue Narration: Added ~25 lines and 4 new scenes to Prologue build.
Prologue Level Streaming: Nearly fully laid out for seamless transitions and pacing.
New Team Members: Welcomed 2 talented animators to our team!
Bug Fixes: Squashed ~10 small and large bugs in the Prologue build.
Additionally, we've added a couple of new models, which can be seen in the included graphic! Finally, we created a foam cube physics simulation to be used in some of the chase scenes, which has been attached to this post!
