The Details (For Nerds):
Hey again everyone! Let's get to those results!
Breakdown: We've been planning and getting some big optimizations ready for a while now... And today we are finally able to test a big portion of what we have worked on to see what kind of performance boost we can realistically expect for Subliminal in the future. This test was done individually on level "Childhood" and separate from all other levels. (Mainly because it is currently the weakest link in terms of performance)
Note: This test does not account for seamless level loading (though it is quite insignificant overall)
Results:
- Before Optimization: | CPU Usage: 22 - 54% utilization | GPU Usage: 90 - 100% utilization
- After Optimization: | CPU Usage: 5 - 28% utilization | GPU Usage: 10 - 18% utilization 🎉🎉🎉
GPU Spec: RTX 3050 TI 4GB
Setting: Medium/High (Lumen on Medium)
Conclusion: These are some Massive improvements, especially on the GPU side of things, and some extremely promising benchmarks on our path to a fully optimized release! I (Sven) would like to take a moment to congratulate our new development side team members who played a massive role in getting our new optimization workflow up and running🎉🎉 A near 70% drop in GPU Utilization is huge and a big step closer to our original GTX 1060 minimum spec goal 🎉🎉

Not at all! We unfortunately don't have a new build out for most updates:/ Everything is sort of compiled into the next Demo/Alpha when it releases:)
