Demo 1.0 Release!

**With Demo 1.0 being the first of its kind, we're expecting quite a few initial bugs. Therefore, to stay on top of any potentially game-breaking bugs we are planning the release of Demo 1.1 (the first patch) in exactly 48 hours! (11/1 @ 10:00 PM PST)**
Download and Test instructions are at the bottom of this post.
A Few Important Notes:
⋅ Not all Levels are in Demo 1.0. Currently, there is a total of 6 (Full & Partial) Levels in the demo. This is both to concentrate bug fixing on levels that currently need it as well as to keep known buggy levels/level parts from interrupting play.
⋅ Missing (to be added/replaced) Animations. A few animations (most notably the entity jumpscare in "The Hotel") are currently absent from the demo while they are still being finalized. All are set to be ready and in Demo 2.0.
⋅ Optimization Bugs. Compared to earlier alphas, Demo 1.0 is almost positively set to have more and worse optimization bugs. We are currently working on getting these patched as soon as we can, but they will be inevitable. If you encounter any sudden, general, or even overall slowdowns please report them in our Discord Bug Report System!
Number of Exits per Level:
Because of the now seamless level transitions, there are now considerably fewer exits throughout each level. All exits will eventually open back up as more levels and transitions are added.
Included Levels:
- "The Hotel"
- "The Metro"
- "Childhood Memories" (Partial)
- "Waterpark" (Outdated) (to be updated)
- "Basement Nostalgia" (Partial)
- "RUN"
How to Download (Updated for Demo 1.0):
⋅ Follow this link to our NDA and sign: NDA Form (Key:115 117 98)
⋅ Submit the form and click the link which will take you to the Demo 1.0 Mediafire folder.
⋅ Individually download Each packed part of Demo 1.0.
⋅ Move all packed parts together of Demo 1.0 to a clean space on your PC.
⋅ Right-click and extract "Demo1.zip" (Make sure you extract the .zip packed part and not any other part)
⋅ Open the extracted folder (Demo 1.0>Windows>Subliminal.exe) and run Subliminal.exe.
⋅ Test Away! Any bugs or suggestions you find or have and would like to share will be very appreciated in our discord server😁: Join the Server

2023-11-04 04:59:33 +0000 UTCwhen i use winrar, i am told the files are corrupt and the prompt "Game files required to initialize the global shader library are missing from:" and then the folder ive made, as well as " Please make sure the game is installed correctly." all the z files are in the same folder as the zip, it just wont unzip

I figured I’d put my review on here, just so it can get some more traction before Demo 1.1 is dropped I wanna start out with the positive feedback: - Love the new options menu!! Super happy that Saturation, bloom, and exposure were added in. This lets people customize the VHS look to their liking, or turn it off entirely. Big Win-Win! - Level designs have improved significantly! Brilliant ideas with having the doors open every so often in ‘The Hotel’. Startled me at first, then I figured out how it worked lol. Very well done! Suggestions: - I liked the original transition noise that was made when going to the options menu in Alpha 3. The screen is cool, but I liked the “Please Stand By” phrase that would show up - I would love to see checkpoints for certain spots on levels. Even if they don’t appear for you on-screen. I got to the third exit sign in hotel, and lost all my progress because of a bug. Had to start all over!! Still sour about that lolll Bugs: - A few Audio glitches I noticed in The Metro, and Hotel. Have to turn a certain way to hear certain things (Train, T.V) - Lighting glitch at the end of the hallway (Hotel) - Level Select is not working properly (Does nothing when clicked) - Sound is not accessible for me (Might just be a work in progress thing, in which case is fine) - Hotel level, when the doors open the player gets dragged in even if they are far away enough from it not to be. Especially after pulling the fire alarm Nonetheless though, thank you for letting us try this and experiment with it for ourselves!!
