We are looking at a nice-looking possible publishing offer! Not yet set in stone, but if everything checks out we could be looking at a pretty big expansion within the next 2-3 months! (More details in "The Details")

The Details (For Nerds):

Instead of diving into code this week, I (The Dev) thought it might be a nice subversion to take a little splash into some business and logistics work that has gone on this past week. I personally feel that the financial side of nearly every game/studio/business is unnecessarily closed off

Let's get to business.

We've got some pretty exciting publishing offers this past week, but one in particular caught our eye... No name disclosure yet unfortunately since we're not yet set on everything:/ But let's go through some changes, pros and cons, and what plans we could be looking at for the near future!

The first and biggest change we would be looking at is a huge increase in funding. From beginning to now the whole of Subliminal has been funded by the revenue that has come from Here (Patreon), which has been fantastic! But has also left a lot on the table with such a close release date coming up:/ With new funding we would be looking at a huge expansion of the team (1-2 new Devs, 2-3 new animators, 1-2 new modelers, and much more) as well as a quite big release marketing budget of $400k+!

Along with this funding increase though, of course, comes the talk of percentages & royalties... Fortunately though, this time around we've got some decent proposals! The current offer we are looking at is an 80/20 split across Steam along with (porting included) a 60/40 split across Xbox and PS5. A quite reasonable proposal considering the scale of Funding and Marketing that we talked about above.

Overall, we are looking at a quite amazing-looking offer with some huge possibilities for expansion and some very accelerated development! With that said, let's hold our breath and get ready for some hopeful big news in next week's Update!

Bro, im a dev in the unreal engine 5/4 and i worked and launched some games with unity (im making my a game currently now in ue5) i switched the engine because of bad decisions made by the cep of the unity, and yeah, i wanna, and i can be your programmer i make sites, softwares, databanks, with language c#, c++, python, html, css, javascript, java, gdscript and more and yes im under the age, i have 16 years, im currently on the second year of the high school and im from brazil but i speak english
