2020!

New year new WE! Happy New Year, everyone! 2019 was fraught with hurdles that severely diminished my drawing output, but this year is my year. I've got plans. From the spin-off mocumentary The ZPD with Jasken, Team VoiceActs and our team of creatives to themed months, to comics, to merch, to new fields I've got a lot planned for this year. 

I'm gonna need a lot more Tropicana!

The ZPD

The amazing folks working on this project have made great strides in this project and I'll be the first to admit I've been holding up the show. But I'm ready to contribute so let's start! I'll be streaming the making of the series - from storyboards to designs - to a large degree exclusively for Patreons, with a few public streams planned as well. Can't make the stream? I've gotcha covered - all the streams will be saved for you to watch anytime!

Comics and Stories

Two things: Ask Us and Zoobound. Remember that old series where we had the duo answer questions from "the public"? We may see a resurgence of that little series this year! I forgot how fun they were to make, it was always just being stressed over how slow I draw. But that was then and this is now! Be ready to spam the comments in my "Ask Us" post later this season!

And that's about it...oh! What's Zoobound? Well if you OG supporters remember that loose comic attempt from 2018 called Little Things? This is it - rebooted and renamed. I didn't want to speak a word of it before I was close to settling on the story, which I'm now deciding whether or not to condense or leave as trilogy (yes, trilogy. It's been 2 years XD). 

More on it later, but for now enjoy an animation test I made using the characters (the bg is a stand-in and plays no part in the story, though the line does). See the 10 second rough pass attached to this post!  

2020 Commission Guide & The Suggestion Box

The COMM Guide has been updated and streamlined for 2020 with notable changes being:

- No canon character commissions

- Character sheets *NEW*

In regards to comms, I've opted to open a suggestion box instead for your canon ideas, and hold multiple themed months throughout the years that can only be completed with your help!

Character sheets is something I've wanted to do for awhile and I'm excited to try it out! Since it's new I'm more than happy to answer any questions you might have for this bad boy, or any of the other commission types. As usual, I'm only truly open when I announce it, but never be afraid to reach out to me to see if I'm open or have a question!

MISC. News

• New Workstation:  Even when I came back to the US unemployed I still saved at least 10% of your wonderful donations to improve myself. Following the death of papi, I've been given the opportunity to expedite the purchase of both the drawing tablet and an actual PC needed to step up my game. And that's thanks to you guys - every little bit you all have donated has been insanely helpful and I can't thank you all enough for your support. My art style will be a bit awkward as I try to learn how to use a big girl tablet (not to mention programs that aren't Procreate XD), but I'm super excited by the possibilities!
• DeviantArt: After a long hiatus there, I'll be heading back to DA to upload art. This has zero impact on Patreon; it's something I stopped doing when I moved over to Twitter and meant to pick back up.
• Picarto.tv and Piczel.tv: I'll be create a presence on these two sites as alternatives to YouTube. Especially to dual-stream with a few artists. So just fyi for future notice!
• Meeeerch: I really want to make something physical this year. Even if it's small like a sticker sheet or a calendar for 2021, it's one of my goals! If I'm able to do so, I'd love to share the merch with those interested in joining a mailing list from me. I'll share with you what I'm making beforehand, but if that's of interest drop a comment or DM my way!

We've got a lot planned and only 360-some-odd days to do it all. And with Zootopialand in the works I'm betting on a fun year! Here's hoping for an awesome year for newbies, mid-bees, and vet Z-fans alike!
