So,in following Alex' reaction schedule, I've had a break from this series for nearly two months. I'm relaxed; I'm prepared; I'm ready - let's go,with my first viewing of Torchwood series four! *Fifteen minutes later* Gruesome non-deaths;sinister people everywhere;screaming;murderous paedophile escapes punishment....yup,typical Torchwood. I'm not quite ready - will finish watching later;after a stiff drink.

The Starz version was a tiny bit longer at times more explicit than what we got on BBC One & if I remember right Starz aired it first a few days before the UK too (So with all of those conditions Starz helped fund the series) The question posed is an interesting one & the series starts well. The team together is actually really good & the whole series has some very interesting characters and they all have their own motivations. It will be an interesting watch to the end.
