Yasmin Paige (Maria) was preparing to take her High School exams,so decided to bow out of the series in order to concentrate on her studies. She and her father made an appealing couple. They will be missed. Sarah Jane encountered the Sontarans in her debut story,The Time Warrior;and again with the Fourth Doctor,The Sontaran Experiment. Hence her observation that she had met them twice before.
