Yeahhhh.... this is one of those movies where I knew a few things here and there, but truly didn't know the story and have never sat down and watched it, until now. This was a fun watch, seeing so many things that I knew of but didn't know where they originated, so I had a good time watching!

2024-01-12 20:40:24 +0000 UTCAnd as for Margaret Hamilton, the Wicked Witch/Miss Gulch, in real life, she had been a kindergarten teacher before going into acting, and, like many actors who specialize in playing nasty villains, she seems to be have a lovely lady off camera. That disappearing effect in Munchkinland caused Hamilton severe burns, and the green make-up made her ill (similar and worse make-up illness caused Buddy Ebsen to drop out of the role of the Tin Man. You may know him as Mr. Clampett from the tv series, "Beverly Hillbillies", but in his youth, Ebsen was a gifted dancer, and you can even catch him hoofing it here and there in the series).
