There was an animated series called Darla, no connection to the Buffyverse. I think it was a spinoff of Beavis & Butt-Head. Kate already ran Cordelia and Wesley through the system. She was looking into Angel and Angel Investigations when she suspected him of murdering all those people in Season 1. She said he didn't have a P.I. license, so she definitely looked into it.

In a previous flashback (can't remember if it was Buffy or Angel series or what season, but we've seen it), Drusilla confessed to a priest -- killed and temporarily replaced by Angel -- that her mother told her the sight was basically an affront to God, evil and blasphemous. Not recalling the exact words Drusilla used, but that was the gist. I doubt she would have told anyone in her family about what she "saw" because she also saw it as evil and a curse.
