I was not happy to see Rowena die. I'd really come to like her. Her redemption arc was one of the better ones and made sense to me. We lose yet another really strong female character. Of course.
I wasn't happy that Cas killed Belphagor - at the time. It seemed to me that he let his hatred against Belphagor and the loss of Jack get to him and so killed Belphagor as soon as he had something close to an excuse. I was mad that it meant that Rowena had to die. I figured he could have waited longer, until all the spirits were returned. But, I do agree that Belphagor might be too powerful after that happened. Unless he was killed just before he was able to do anything. Tricky. I was with Dean's way of thinking. Deal with Belphagor After this crisis is over.
Anyway - demons don't go to Purgatory when they die. Only monsters do. Demons go to the Empty when they die. Like angels.
And the anti-posession tattoo only works for demons. Not ghosts. That's why the hunters are wearing the iron necklaces.
Also - I think hunters have been given the orders to hunt down Michael's army, and that's mostly what the hunters from Apocolypse World are doing.
I think Cas losing his powers might be due to what's happening in Heaven

Rowena and Crowley both said "goodbye boys" when they died, like mother like son. Tough ending with the divorce arc starting as well.
