I like the notes sort of format for these, I’ll probably stick to it, even if it generates a wall of text. Oh god, here we go. I’m not gonna have the words to properly explain how I feel being on the last premiere, so I’ll leave it at that for now, lol. “It’s the famous final scene” fucking oof. They still had the “now” card so I guess it didn’t really go right into the ep. I don’t think any of them were ever “full” recaps anyway, only of that season plus maybe a few shots of earlier stuff. I will say though, I know it’s a specific thing, it being the last time they’re doing it, but it felt wrong without it being Wayward Son. Maybe they’ll work it into the finale or something, but I’m not really a fan of it not being used here. Maybe a tonal thing. Oh, that title card is cool. I thought I had it spoiled for me that there was a green-themed one near the end, guess I was wrong. F. Not to sound nitpicky but muting instead of pausing seems wild to me. I’ve noticed it happening more recently. This demon has an interesting pronunciation for the spelling of “Belphagor.” Weird that the bodies weren’t huddled around the door where they were banging on it. I mean, when does divorce not work out for at least one person? Divorce is probably basically always good. Means something wasn’t working. Revisiting previous episodes is cool, but blood splatter in a car could be almost anything. Wait, they sent the Woman in White to hell? Specifically? I figured she just ghost-died when she “reconciled” with her children. I guess they did like, drag her down. Interesting, though. Never imagined them sending any ghosts to hell, really. Crazy leap after seeing one car with blood in it, but I’m glad that they’re establishing what happened quick, at least. I love Jack to death but I’m also really enjoying seeing him play this kind of role. I give this show a lot of shit (lovingly), but if they just went through ALL that, and they’re next opponent is fucking Michael again, kudos, show. That is a hilariously ballsy move. I guess it could be a way of emulating some of what season five was about, considering that and this were endings of sort. Maybe it ends were it was “supposed” to end. It’s cool. If that’s supposed to be the same woman in white, she looks different af. I like that Sam corrected himself after saying “Chuck” to “God.” He’s not Chuck to them anymore. Very nice reference with the “we got work to do.” I like the flash of the pilot, too. Wild to be so close to the finale of the show. It’s cool that they used the same actress for Mary that they used in season one (and S14’s finale). Plus the guy playing the random ghost in the squad was also a Predator in The Predator. He’s played a few creature roles. Let’s see how many more of my same guess there are, over this last season. 17!
