Eurogamer plays Indiana Jones in VR!!

As dear Brandon showed you in his latest teaser, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is almost ready for release!

In the meantime, have fun witnessing unstoppable professor Ian Higton, from the prestigious British college of Eurogamer, punch Nazis in the face (well, mostly missing, but some of his blows occasionally land where intended) and enjoy hassle-free, ticketless, no-travel-papers-required virtual tourism in the video embedded above! Also be sure to like and subscribe as we all want to keep those videos coming, don't we?

If you haven't played the game yet, be mindful that the video has some location spoilers, especially once you get past the initial 20 minutes or so.

Some technical notes: Ian is playing with resolution, texture quality and graphics options all set to sort of low-ish values in order to keep the capture as smooth as possible, but if you have a powerful GPU from the 30xx or 40xx families the game can be run in VR with astounding image quality. We'll probably have a video on Brandon's own channel soon to showcase what can be achieved. The VR mod will support DL(S)SS of course!

As I was jokingly mentioning earlier, Ian appears to have an issue in his VR gameplay where the initial blows don't land on enemies. We haven't been able to reproduce this issue during testing; it might be due to a version conflict or maybe an erroneous setting of aim assist, but rest assured that it won't be present in the release version of the mod (melee combat is a fundamental aspect of this game and I spent a great deal of time making sure that it works properly).

And for those of you who were wondering, no, Brandon hasn't found my secret lair yet :-D

Usually, a good idea to post in a newer Patreon post so it is easily seen :) There are 3 possible options on controller depending on the game. Both triggers, both thumb sticks or pause and start at the same time. The pause/break button on the keyboard should also work for every game unless you changed that when the overlay popped up for the first time.

How do you access the Lukes VR MOD menu while in game ? I can do it in Cyberpunk but in this game nothing happens

Rich

Do you have the game on C drive? That works for some people on Gamepass but also make sure to follow the install video and set all the necessary in game settings flat before running the config file. That has also helped some people with that issue.

Hi, I'm trying to get the mod to work for Indie VR, but getting an error that "TheGreatCircle.exe" Access is Denied. It's the only file that is failing to process. This is on Xbox/GamePass games on PC, and it appears Microsoft can make the .exe files read-only despite me overriding it in the folder properties. Any advice to get this to work besides buying the game out-right? Thanks.

Hi, Can you tell me if the game still has artefects/halo around characters and objects ingame ?

After injecting the files in the exe folder of indiana jones, and following the instructions in the video, the game still runs flat. Pls help (psvr2 pc adapter, 4090 laptop)

The HUD slider in the Indy tab? Things like maps etc you can't really fix because that is how the game has them. You will have to tilt your neck forward and look down and left or right. Sucks but it is what it is.

This mod is so cool, but I can't really use the menu or map in game. If I bring up the inventory, map, journal, etc It's way too close to my face and I can't read it. Also the Hud is way off to the sides of the screen and can't make it out. I found one option for HUD scale but it just brings everything from the outer edge more to the center but also makes it really tiny...

1/2 is harder to run because of the higher fps cap. Both are generating extra frames, so they are heavier on the GPU than Legacy. Does the BSB go down to 60hz or is it locked at 90? Legacy will be easiest on performance but have motion jitter when things move past you or sideways and less fluid feeling.

Brandon(Post Maester)

With Render method set to 1/3 performance is great but it makes me kinda dizzy, and setting it to 2/3 it's great but performance sucks. Is this just a common thing when using that much frame interpolation? I have to say that I'm surprised how damn sharp this MOD looks with DLSS! It's almost like playing in 2D with sharpness on my Big Screen Beyond.
