“You can take the empty seat next to Ms.Hale.”Rosalie looked up when she heard the teacher say her name. Her breath caught in her throat when she realized that Mr.Banner was speaking to Isabella and that the girl was going to be sitting next to her. Rosalie gave herself a once over, ran a hand through her hair and checked breath before Isabella sat down. She was incredibly nervous to be so close to the girl. When Isabella sat down Rosalie caught the scent of wood fire smoke and cinnamon. It made her think of the times spent sitting around the fire pit in her back yard on cold nights. It was a pleasant smell and Rosalie leaned closer to Isabella to get a better sniff.

“Hello.”Isabella said smiling.

Rosalie jumped back blushing when she realized how close she had gotten to Isabella.”Hi.”

“I’m Isabella Denali.”Isabella held out her hand.

“I’m Rosalie Hale.”Rosalie shook the hand.

“It’s nice to meet you Rosalie.”Isabella told her.

Rosalie held back a shiver. Hearing Isabella say her name in her heavy accent was incredibly sexy.”Nice to meet you too.”

“I need to apologize before class starts as I don’t really know the material we are going to be studying.”Isabella was lying of course. She knew everything that they taught in the school but by telling Rosalie she didn’t it would be an excuse to get attention from her mate. A mate that Alice had known about for an over a month that she didn’t mention. Isabella wasn’t mad at her sister about not telling her because it wouldn’t have a made a difference if she had known or not. The kings wouldn’t have let her leave early to go find a mate no matter how much they respected bonds.

“No problem I can help you.”Rosalie easily volunteered. She was already mid plan on getting Isabella to spend time with her under the guise of studying.

Isabella smiled.”Thank you.”

“Uh.. yeah…sure it’s no problem.”Rosalie stuttered out. She immediately chastised herself for being so affected by that smile. It was just that Isabella looked so hot normally but when she smiled like that it made her even more attractive.

“Alright everyone today we will be working with our lab partners to identify the stages of mitosis in an onion cell. Everything you need to complete this is on your tables.”Mr. Banner told the class.

“Have you studied mitosis before?”Rosalie asked Isabella.

“Somewhat but I’m no expert.”Isabella had read about mitosis before and didn’t think that her knowledge would be lacking in a high school science class.

“Cool then why don’t I go first and then we will see where you are at.”Rosalie suggested.

“Of course.”Isabella replied.

Rosalie pulled the microscope close to her and put the first slide on it. As she was leaning over to look into the viewfinder she could feel Isabella’s eyes on her. She almost preened at the attention knowing that Isabella hadn’t given anyone but her the time of day.”Anaphase.”

“Alright.”Isabella wrote the answer down on the answer sheet.

Rosalie looked at Isabella’s handwriting and was very impressed with how neat it was.”You have really good handwriting.”

“That’s kind of you to say.”Isabella was extremely proud of her handwriting as learning to read and write was a big achievement for a woman when she had learned to do it. It was actually a big achievement for anyone other than the wealthy members of society in her homeland.

“Do you want to try the next one?”Rosalie asked.

“Sure.”Isabella replaced the slide and instead of moving the microscope closer to her she leaned over and into Rosalie’s personal space. She held back a smirk hearing Rosalie’s heart race.”I believe this is metaphase but I think you should check to make sure.”

Rosalie wasn’t sure exactly what was going on. Her mind had gone blank when Isabella’s body came in contact with her own. Every place they were touching Rosalie felt like she was on fire. Not in a bad way but in a good way. A very good way. She had never reacted to another person like this before and she wasn’t sure how to deal with it. Feeling Isabella move away and seeing her looking at her Rosalie realized that Isabella had said something.”Huh?”

“I said that I think this one is metaphase but you should probably double-check.”Isabella told her.

“Oh yeah, of course.”Rosalie eagerly looked at the slide using her hair to cover the blush she had no doubt was obvious on her warm cheeks.”You were right metaphase.”

“You do the next one.”Isabella was enjoying her mate’s reaction very much. It was nice to know that even if she was human that Rosalie was effected by her. Isabella knew that Rosalie wouldn’t feel the bond as intensely as she did. At least not until she was turned. That would only happen after Isabella had properly courted Rosalie. She wanted Rosalie to be in love with her before she told her of mate bonds. That way Rosalie didn’t feel pressured to be with her.

“Sure.”Rosalie changed the slide and she and Isabella fell into a routine until they finished with the lab.”You knew a lot of them. Only one stumped you.”

“I think I will have to study more to catch up with everyone.”Isabella had lied about not knowing the one she missed. Not only did she not want to show off she liked the way Rosalie had patiently explained what she did wrong. Isabella would gladly listen to her mate talk for hours. It didn’t matter the subject.

“Maybe we could get together some time after school and I could help you?”Rosalie was impressed with herself for putting the offer out there with out stumbling over every word.

“I would like that very much. Can I have your phone number so we can work out a time?”Isabella asked.

“Sure you should give yours to.”Rosalie couldn’t believe her luck. She had gotten Isabella to agree to hang out with her outside of school and gotten her phone number. She was definitely doing a lot better than the boys at school. She didn’t want to get her hopes up yet but if things worked out maybe Isabella would be open to dating her.

“Great.”Isabella pulled her phone out of her pocket and unlocked it.

Rosalie’s eye brows rose seeing Isabella’s phone. She wasn’t sure what model it was but it looked like it was a lot more advanced than any Rosalie had ever seen.”That’s a cool phone. What kind is it?”

“It’s an iPhone.”Isabella told her.

“That doesn’t look like any iPhone I have ever seen. Where did you get it?”Rosalie asked.

“It was a custom order made by the developers at Apple.”Isabella said.

“Wait you were able to get Apple to make you your own iPhone?”Rosalie didn’t even know that was possible.

”My family travels a lot and we needed phones that will work wherever we go. My family patriarch reached out to numerous phone companies but Apple was the only one who could create one that fit our standards.”Isabella explained.

“Just how rich are you?”Rosalie blurted out before covering her mouth with her hand not believing she asked that.

“My family is extremely wealthy.”Isabella had already been planning on taken Rosalie for a day of shopping. Alice had found out about the girl for her and mentioned that Rosalie was very into cars and clothes. Both of those things Isabella was more than willing to provide for her mate.

“I’m so sorry. That was impolite.”Rosalie said.

“It’s alright. I would be curious as well.”Isabella wasn’t embarrassed by having money. She had worked hard to make her fortune. A lot of it earned by giving up her free time to take vampires around the world for various reasons. The Volturi also paid her very well for her services. She may have made a deal with them to keep her sisters alive but they made sure to offer payments and rewards for true loyalty. Something she had given them easily.

“Can you tell me about your Super Snake?”Rosalie asked.

“I see you know your cars.”Isabella was impressed Rosalie had known what the car was as it was very rare.

“I love cars. I’ve never seen one like that in person though.”Rosalie told her.

“It was a gift from my sisters for my birthday.”It was actually a gift for the day they decided to be her birthday. None of them knew when it really was so her sisters decided they would pick one for her. As Sasha’s first turned she was centuries older than her sisters and was the only one out of the four them who didn’t remember what their birthday was.

“That’s a nice gift.”The nicest gift Rosalie had ever gotten was diamond earrings from her grandmother for her 16th birthday.”How did they find one is good condition.”

“They lucked out and got it from the original owner. It was kept in storage most of the time so it doesn’t have that many miles on it.”Isabella didn’t drive the car often because the sisters lived most to the time in Alaska where there wasn’t a place to drive it. The only reason they were in Forks was for Isabella to go to school with Alice.

“It’s completely original?”Rosalie didn’t know if she believed that. If it was true then the car was worth way more than the 2.2 million the one she saw online that sold at auction.

“It is. Would like to drive it sometime?”Isabella usually didn’t let anyone drive her cars but Rosalie was her mate so she would allow it.

“Seriously?”Rosalie asked.

“Seriously.”Isabella said.

“Hell yeah I want to drive it.”Rosalie wasn’t going to miss the chance to drive a car that she knew she would likely never get the chance to see in person again.

“Good we will set up a time for you do that as well. You need to give me your number though.”Isabella held her phone for Rosalie.

Rosalie happily took the phone and put her number in.”Just text me yours.”

“No problem.”Isabella texted Rosalie as soon as she got her phone back.”There now you have a way of contacting me.”

Before Rosalie could reply the bell rang signaling the end of class.”What’s your next class?”

“Trig.”Isabella told her.

“I have history.”Rosalie was upset that they didn’t have class together. As Rosalie stood and picked up her backpack Mike approached them.”Hi Mike.”

“Hey Rosalie.”Mike didn’t even look Rosalie’s way when he greeted her. His focus was entirely on Isabella.”You must be Isabella.”

“Is this my cue to fall all over you?”Isabella asked.

“What?”Mike didn’t understand what Isabella was talking about.

“I asked you if this my cue to fall all over you. You know because you are the most eligible bachelor at school and you called dibs.”Isabella had heard everything the boy and his friend had said about her.

“I didn’t call dibs.”Mike tried to deny.

“So not only are you a pig but you are liar. I don’t know how anyone could say no to going out with you. I however have no intention of spending time with you so why don’t you run along and never speak to me again.”Isabella smiled when she heard Rosalie laugh.

“I’m not a pig or a liar.”Mike wasn’t sure what going on. Every girl at school wanted to date him. Isabella should be happy he was picking her.

“Let me make myself clear you ignorant moron. I don’t have any interest in spending a second of my precious time with you or any other boy in this school. If you need an incentive to leave me alone then I’m sure Emmett would be more than willing to give you a demonstration of what will happen if you don’t. Now take your bad haircut, cheep cologne wearing, horrible dressing ass and get the hell away from me.”When Mike didn’t move right away Isabella stepped closer and yelled.”Go!”

Rosalie laughed as she watched Mike trip over a chair on his way to get out of the room as fast as he could.”That was impressive.”

“Boys like that don’t deserve respect when letting them down.”Isabella was sure Emmett was going to have some words with Mike later. She doubted he would bother her again.

“I’m sorry you have to deal with what all the boys are saying.”Rosalie said.

“You don’t have to be sorry. As you know it unfortunately comes with the territory of looking the way you and I do.”Isabella dealt with a lot worse than high school boys in her life. Vampires were even more obnoxious when trying to sleep with her. Something that she had never given into as she was waiting for her mate.

“Still.”Rosalie knew that she was beautiful but didn’t think she was in Isabella’s league looks wise. She was flattered that Isabella thought that she was though.

“I guess I should get to class. Please reach out to me later about driving my car. My afternoons are free so I can meet up anytime.”Isabella told her.

“I have cheerleading practice. So I might not be free until the weekend.”Rosalie had always loved cheerleading but in this moment she cursed whoever invented it because it was preventing her from meeting up with Isabella.

“We’ll figure it out.”Isabella was sure she could convince Rosalie to spend time with her sooner than the weekend. She would just have to brainstorm with her sisters on how to make that happen.

“I’ll see you.”Rosalie hated that she had to separate from Isabella but it couldn’t be helped.

“That you will Rosalie.”Isabella promised.

“Bye.”Rosalie said before taking one last look at Isabella and walking the other way down the hallway to her class. She was feeling very optimistic because Isabella had given her her number and wanted to hang out. The fact that she turned down Mike was also good. He was Rosalie’s biggest completion in school for Isabella’s attention. Now all Rosalie had to do is find out if Isabella was a lesbian. She gave off the vibe and Rosalie had caught Isabella checking her out a couple times. That made it seem that she was interested. The only way to find out was to ask Isabella herself and Rosalie was definitely not brave enough to do that. Rosalie sighed. She had never been in the position of being the one who had to do the pursuing and she had no clue how to go about letting Isabella know she was interested without making a fool of herself. Maybe she could talk to Alice about it. She was the most approachable Cullen and it was obvious that she was close to Isabella. They had art together so Rosalie would just make sure she sat next to her. Plan firmly in place Rosalie walked into her classroom feeling a lot better.
