Mother Nature 22

“I guess we are vampires again.”Tanya said from her spot lying naked next to a naked Isabella on her bed with an equally naked Rosalie on the other side of the goddess. The trio had spent the last three hours making love only stopping when Rosalie got what she thought was cramp. When Tanya felt the same cramp the trio watch in awe as both Rosalie and Tanya’s bodies slowly turned back to vampire. It was odd watching her skin harden on some spots while it was still soft on others. Tanya had feared it was going to be painful but it wasn’t. She wasn’t sure how to describe what it felt like other than it was like she could feel each of her cells freeze. It tickled more than anything.

“How many hours were we human?”Rosalie was sad that they changed back. She would have liked to stay human for a while longer.

Tanya checked her phone.”14 hours.”

“That’s a lot longer than I thought it would be.”Isabella had expected 2 hours, three at the most.

“I’m tempted to drink from you again but we will be needed to help protect the family.”Rosalie said.

“I don’t think it’s smart for either of us to do it again until at least Carlisle and Edward are dealt with.”Tanya wanted to experience being human again it just wouldn’t be safe until some the threats against them were taken care of.

”It would nice to be able to get our humanity back.”Rosalie knew Tanya was right. She didn’t have to like it though.

“Once you are pregnant you will get a lot of your humanity back by experiencing all the regular pregnancy symptoms.”Isabella told her.

“How exactly is that going to work? Are we going to turn back to humans to be able to carry our children?”Tanya asked.

“From what my sister explained you will stay in your vampire body. Due to that the pregnancy will last at most two month. She thinks you will miss out on the morning sickness but wasn’t a hundred percent sure. She also mentioned that you might crave human food because the baby will be human and need the regular nutrients a growing human baby would need while in the womb.”Isabella had asked her sister what to expect right after her father had told her about his gift.

“I always wanted the full pregnancy experience but I can honestly say I won’t be upset if I miss out on getting sick everyday.”Rosalie would happily not have to deal with morning sickness.

“I won’t either.”Tanya agreed.”Being pregnant for two months isn’t that bad either. I was worried about being unable to help out if we are attacked when either of us is pregnant.”

“It would probably be a good idea for only one of you to be pregnant at a time.”Isabella didn’t think it was the best idea to have both Rosalie and Tanya in such a vulnerable state at the same time.

“I was thinking the same thing.”Tanya said.

“I know you are right I just hate that we will have to wait to meet our children.”Rosalie had wanted children all her life. Now that she was getting the chance she was getting impatient.

“We will also have to wait until we get everything set up to get regular blood supplies. That and until we have a full proof way of making sure we can keep not only ourselves but the children safe as well.”Tanya was of the same thought as Rosalie. She desperately wanted to have their children they just weren’t ready yet.

“That doesn’t mean we can’t get started getting ready for them.”Rosalie said.

“First thing we need to work out is remodeling our room. I want to not only make it bigger but I want the nursery right next to us.”Tanya didn’t want her child to be away from them even if it was a few doors down.

“Do you think we should just build an addition onto the house? That way we can have our own space for our family while still being close to everyone else.”Rosalie would like to have their own home to raise their children. She wasn’t going to be selfish and keep them away from the rest of their family though.

“Having our own addition would be nice. We need a better kitchen then what we have anyway.”The kitchen the Denali home had was just a room with a sink, refrigerator, a microwave and some cabinets with glasses. The only reason they had those things was incase they needed to store blood and warm it up. Tanya hated the taste of cold blood and preferred it warm.

“A good kitchen is a must. Our children will only be eating human food so we need to have a place to prepare it.”Isabella didn’t know much about how to prepare human food other than you needed to be careful how some things were prepared. She would have to research more about the topic when she got the chance.

“What will their diets be like?”Tanya asked.

“It is different which each demigod and usually depends on what domain their parent controls. I believe our children will likely be more of a plant based diet because I am the goddess of life. Then again Artemis has a son who refuses to eat any type of meat so it could go any way.”Isabella didn’t really care what the children chose to eat as long as they were healthy she would support them.

“The goddess of the hunt’s son doesn’t eat meat.”Rosalie wasn’t sure what to make of that.”Does he hunt animals?”

“He does enjoy hunting he just isn’t a fan of eating meat. I think it has something to do with his disgust of eating anything he considers inferior to him.”Isabella said.

“What do you mean?”Tanya asked.

“His mother is the goddess of the hunt. He takes his duties of being involved in hunting very seriously. I believe he would eat an animal or anything else he killed if they actually challenged him during the fight. I think he just doesn’t find his victims worthy of being in his body.”Isabella explained.

“That makes sense. Like when I killed Royce and his friends. Even though I was tempted I didn’t drain them because the thought of any part of them in my body disgusted me.”Rosalie hasn’t wanted to taint her body with such filth.

“We will have to make sure that we get cookbooks on how to prepare plant based meals.”Tanya was going to go online later and buy some books. She wanted to get ones on baby needs and development, cooking and some medical texts. Thinking of medical text brought up a question.”Will the children have to worry about human illness and injuries?”

“Yes although their immune systems and bodies will be a lot stronger than a regular humans.”Isabella told her.

”I really don’t want to have to deal with not only my own worry but everyone else’s if our children get sick or hurt.”Rosalie could predict how upset the entire household would get if one of the children were sick or injured. One overprotective vampire was a nightmare an entire household of them was going to be a horror show.

“Maybe one of us should go to medical school.”Tanya suggested.

“If we didn’t go in person we could at least go through all the study materials needed to get a degree.”Rosalie was going to make sure she was as prepared as possible to deal with anything that came up with her children.

“My abilities will allow me to heal any injuries our children may have. As for sicknesses there are different things that the gods have come up with to cure almost anything.”Isabella could easily handled any broken bones or scrapes and bruises.

“I’m relieved to hear that.”Rosalie hadn’t even thought about Isabella’s powers as a goddess.

“If you can heal injuries how come you can’t cure illnesses?”Tanya asked.

“If they were completely human I could cure any aliment they suffered from. The fact that they will be demigods makes the make up of their bodies different enough that my abilities don’t affect them the same way I could one of my own creations. I suspect that I will be able to cure some of their minor illnesses but major ones they will have to be treated like every other demigod.”Isabella wished it were different but every god and goddess had their limitations. If they didn’t they would be to close to being a titan’s equal. That being something none of the titans would every allow one of their children to be.

“Can you heal other gods and goddesses’ injuries?”Rosalie wasn’t pleased to hear that Isabella wouldn’t be able to cure their children but took comfort in the fact that for minor ailments she may be able to take care of them.

“Yes I am the only one who can. Every time there is some type of scuffle or war I am sought out for healing. I have gained many favors from others to heal them because it would take months to have most injuries heal properly without the help.”Isabella was always flush with favors for all the help she gave to others.

“I think having instant healing would be worth owing a favor.”Tanya wouldn’t want to wait months to be a hundred percent. She would want to be healed as soon as possible.

“Can gods and goddesses get sick?”Rosalie asked.

“No we have no illnesses that affect us. The only way we can actually be injured is if another of our kind or a titan is involved. Mortals and demigods are not powerful enough to hurt us.”Isabella was happy that was the case. If it wasn’t there would be a lot more fighting between the many fractions.

“At least we don’t have to worry about you getting sick.”Rosalie was relieved that they wouldn’t have to try and nurse Isabella back to health. That did bring a thought though.”If you were injured how would we take care of you?”

"Since my creation I have never been injured. I doubt that will change any time soon.”Isabella said.

“Is it common for the gods to be injured?”Tanya hoped that Isabella was right and she would continue to be safe.

“Yes very common. The gods are well known for their fighting. Even though everyone has their own realm some think they need to be in charge of more than what they were given. Most of the time however it is their children that start the fighting. I can’t even tell you how many times the titans have had to step in to stop an all out war because of the actions of one of our children.”Isabella had never been involved in any of them. Just the aftermath of healing the injuries some of them life threatening.

“What happens when a titan steps in?”Rosalie asked.

“Then the groups are put on trial where the guilty parties are punished. Being punished by a titan isn’t something anyone wants to happen to them. Even the lightest punishments are harsher than anything a god could do to another god.”Isabella told them.

“What kind of punishments are you talking about?”Tanya was very interested in what a titan would consider a good punishment for a god.

“The worst punishment a titan can give you is an undisclosed time in purgatory.”Isabella shivered a the thought.

“Purgatory is real?”Rosalie reasoned if different realms were real then purgatory could have been as well.

“Purgatory is very real. It’s not like the humans think it is however. Actually purgatory is a realm that is complete empty of anything. There is no land, sea, light or life of any kind. When you go there you lose all use of your senses and are forced to simply exist without any type of stimulation. When the titans send you there for punishment they don’t tell you how long you are going to be there. Not that you would be able to tell how much time has passed.”Isabella explained.

“That’s kind of like what Alec’s gift does.”Tanya had Alec’s gift used on her before and would do also anything to prevent it. It was that traumatizing.

“I don’t want to be subjected to that.”Rosalie thought she would go insane being stuck in that situation without a way to leave or even know how long she was going to be there.

“That’s why I like to keep my nose clean. Not that it’s a huge problem. No one would go out of their way to offend me or start any type of fight. Not only do I have many favors I could call in to take care of the problem but I have many allies including the titans that would step in if their children tried anything with me. Plus no one wants to chance me not helping them in the future.”Isabella knew that she would never be targeted.

“What kinds of favors do you usually do?”Rosalie asked.

“The last favor I did was for Aphrodite. She had matched a pair of humans who desperately wanted to have a child but they were having problems trying to conceive. The man had been injured in an accident that made him sterile and unable to father children. She asked me to heal him and grant them a child.”Isabella hadn’t had to be persuaded too much to help. After observing the couple she could tell they were worthy.

“Do you decide which people have children?”Tanya wondered how involved Isabella was with who became parents.

“No not usually. I just decide which souls are eligible to began their next cycle as a human.”Isabella told her.

“It’s so weird thinking that my mate of all people decides what happens after someone dies.”Rosalie still couldn’t wrap her head around the fact that Isabella decided what happens when someone died. She hadn’t even really even began to think about the fact that Isabella was the reason humans existed. It was just too mind blowing.

“It is weird isn’t it.”Although Tanya never really thought about who her mate would be she never would have expected it would be a goddess who was responsible for creating the human race.

“It’s not to weird though is it?”Isabella asked.

Rosalie rolled on top of Isabella and gave her a kiss.”Weird isn’t the right word. I think I should have said it’s unbelievable in a good way. Being mated to a goddess is the highest honor a person could get and the fact that I was chosen makes me proud to be your mate.”

“I agree. It’s unbelievable that not only am I mated to you but my best friend as well. I’m awed by the fact that a titan personally picked both of us to be mated to his daughter.”Tanya said.

“I’m glad it doesn’t cause you distress.”Isabella didn’t want her mates to resent the fact that they were forced to be her mates.

“What I feel around you is definitely not distress.”Rosalie leaned down and kissed Isabella again.

Isabella wrapped her arms around Rosalie and pulled her close to her body. She pulled away when she felt Tanya kiss the side of her neck.”Do you feel distress around me?”

“What I feel for you is anything but distress.”Tanya told her giving Isabella a kiss of her own. It was obvious that Isabella was feeling a little insecure in their relationship due to her being a goddess. Tanya knew that the only way to sooth those fears was by continued reassurance. Not that Tanya minded reassuring her mate. Especially when they were naked together. As a matter of fact Tanya liked this way the best. Now that they were vampires again it would give her a chance to mark Rosalie. Something that she was desperate to do. It would be hard not to bite Isabella but she was old enough to be able to control her urges. She couldn’t wait until they were in a position where she wouldn’t have to be careful and could be human whenever they wanted to be. That wouldn’t be for while however. When Rosalie broke her kissed with Isabella and kissed Tanya Tanya decided to push those thoughts to the back of her mind. She had both her mates naked and complete privacy. She could worry about everything else later.
