My Own Worst Enemy 14

“Bella can you turn it up I can’t hear what he’s whispering.”Kate asked Bella. The pair along with the queens, Tanya, Irina and Rosalie were all in the entertainment room watching the live feeds from the dungeon. They had listened to Carlisle rant and scream about all the injustices that had been committed against him and the rest of his family. Bella’s favorite part was when he tried bribing the guards to let them go. He promised them if they sided with him he would give them positions in the court once he was king. Edward tried to sweeten the deal by offering his gift for their future use. One of the guards had laughed at him and reminded Edward that his gift was useless to anyone who lived in the castle. That made Edward angry and he starting threatening death to all of them once he got out of his cell. Bella was surprised that the guards had enough self control not to open the cell and take turns beating on him. It’s what she would have done. Taking the remote and turning the volume up she leaned back in Rosalie’s arms and listened to Carlisle’s mumblings.

“I don’t have to drink all of it. Just enough to get my strength back. Then I can fight them off the next time someone comes and free Edward and Esme.”Carlisle mumbled.

“He’s going to do it!!”Watching as Carlisle lifted the blood bag to his mouth Athenodora leaned forward to make sure she didn’t miss anything.

“Carlisle don’t do it!! Don’t let them take your humanity!!”Edward yelled.

When Carlisle lowered the bag Rosalie groaned.”Why does Edward always have to ruin everything?”

“Look at how panicked he is.”Irina enjoyed watching Edward pulling at the bars frantically trying to get to Carlisle.

“It’s the only way to save all of us.”Carlisle told him.

“Carlisle you are better than this.”Esme said.

“Like Carlisle would actually listen to Esme.”Didyme bet that Carlisle would probably do it just because Esme told him not to.

“He’s lifting it again.”Tanya held Irina’s hand in her own and squeezed it in excitement.

“Carlisle noooooo!”Edward screamed.

Rosalie’s eyes widen in shock as she watched Carlisle bite through the blood bag and drink the blood.”He fucking did it.”

“It doesn’t look like he is reacting well.”Sulpicia observed. Carlisle had torn the bag apart and was licking the inside of it. When it was obvious there was nothing left he began growling and slamming himself against the bars.

“He is totally out of control.”Athenodora wasn’t sure what she expected would happen but Carlisle’s vampire side taking over completely wasn’t it. She was somewhat afraid that Carlisle was going to break out of the cell with how hard he was ramming the bars.

“Is Esme crying?”Tanya asked. The Cullen matriarch’s shoulders were shaking making it look like the vampire was sobbing.

“Oh course she is. Her all mighty savior has given up his humanity.”Irina was unsurprised that Esme was being so dramatic.

“She does have Carlisle on a pedestal. It must be devastating not only seeing him brake his diet but to see him lose himself to his beast in such a way.”Sulpicia said.

“It almost makes me not want to kill him. That way he has to live the rest of his life knowing that he drank human blood.”Didyme wasn’t going to let him live of course it would just be nice to have Carlisle have to live with the consequences of his action.

“He would still claim he was better than others because he only drank bagged blood.”Athenodora knew that Carlisle wouldn’t admit that he was no better than other vampires when it came to urges.

“Do you have any humans we can throw in his cell with him?”Rosalie asked.

”That is a great idea!!”Kate was impressed that Rosalie of all people was the one who thought of it.

“We can easily get a prisoner or two from the local authorities to sacrifice.”Sulpicia would have no problem getting a human for Carlisle to drink from.

“I’ll tell the guards to go get someone.”Athenodora stood from her seat and made her way to the door. Opening it she addressed the guards stationed at the door.”Have someone go to the local prison and kidnap two humans that are there for violent crimes and bring them back to the castle. Once they bring them back let us know.”

“Yes my queen.”The guard replied.

Athenodora shut the door and returned to her seat on the couch.”They will be quick.”

“This is so great!!”Kate was beyond excited to see how Carlisle was going to react to having human put in his cell with him.

“I want to be in the dungeon when it happens so I can see it in person.”Irina wasn’t going to miss seeing Carlisle kill a human.

“I think we all would like to see it in person.”Didyme definitely wasn’t going to miss it.

“Will I be alright to go?”Rosalie wanted to see it as well. She just didn’t know if she would be safe with the sire bond.

“Carlisle isn’t skilled enough to use the sire bond to influence you enough to do anything to bad. The only way you would act out was if he was being hurt.”Tanya told her.

“That was proven in the way that he couldn’t get you to ignore the mate bond. If he used the sire command properly he could have made it so you did actually hate Bella.”Sulpicia was happy that Carlisle was to stupid to do that. If he did then it would have caused a lot more problems when Rosalie and Bella were reunited.

“I bet he would have forced you into a mate bond with Emmett.”Kate said.

“He did always make comments about how it was to bad that Emmett and I weren’t mated. He also disapproved of me being a lesbian.”Rosalie had been forced to listen to many lectures from Carlisle about how homosexuality was an illness that by following god’s path one could overcome it.”So did Edward and Esme.”

“I bet Esme was against homosexuals because she knew that Carlisle and Edward were mates.”Bella had been told of her mother’s and the queen’s suspicion of Carlisle having two mates and fully agreed with them.

“Carlisle’s obvious love of Edward did make her jealous. She was always trying to take Carlisle’s attention away from Edward.”Rosalie hadn’t really realized it at the time but looking back on it with the knowledge of Carlisle and Edward being mated made Esme’s behavior make more sense.

“She was quick to offer up his life.”Didyme had been surprised when Esme didn’t even hesitate to them killing Edward.

“I bet she would have fought for anybody else.”Tanya knew that Esme wouldn’t want any of the other Cullens to die.

“She probably would have offered her own life in exchange for everybody but Edward.”Irina said.

“I can’t wait to see her reaction when we tell them about their death sentences.”Kate was going to enjoy watching the recordings of their reactions almost as much as she would their actual death’s.

“I can’t wait to see Carlisle’s reaction when we kill Edward.”Athenodora and the others already decided that they would be killing Edward first.

“I’m excited to be the one to do it.”Rosalie was happy that the group was letting her have the killing blow. Especially since she knew that they all wanted to do it. Bella included. The fact that her mate who was just as wronged as Rosalie was stepping aside made Rosalie love her that much more.

“I’m excited to kill Esme.”Irina was going to enjoy getting her revenge.

“That won’t happen until the rest of us get our pound of flesh.”Tanya wasn’t going to be left out of torturing Esme.

“I’m looking forward to being what finally ends Carlisle’s worthless existence.”Athenodora had gotten the privilege of killing Carlisle because she was what he hated the most. A strong, confident, independent women who had authority over him. Many times Carlisle would make comments about Athenodora being too manly. He told Caius on more than one occasion that he shouldn’t let the queen dress the way she did and train with the guards. He said that it made Caius look gay because his mate was masculine.

“I’m sad I won’t be there in person to see it but am happy that I’ll get to watch the live feed in here.”Rosalie’s instincts would force her to defend Carlisle if she was in the room when he was attacked so she would have to watch it on tv instead.

“Speaking of live feed, it doesn’t seem like Carlisle has calmed down.”Sulpicia said as she watched Carlisle punching the walls trying to break out of the cell.

“I noticed that no one has said anything since he drank the blood.”Kate would have expected some kind of verbal reaction.

“Esme looks like she has witnessed the end of the world.”Didyme didn’t think Esme was going to be able to pull herself back together after seeing Carlisle lost in his beast.

“Carlisle is the meaning of her whole existence. Her complete identity is being his mate. Him being a doctor and never drinking human blood making him almost god like in her opinion. It’s something she bragged about often and used as an excuse for why Carlisle was always right. Seeing him like this has got to be devastating.”Rosalie had been around Esme long enough to know that she had to be taking seeing Carlisle as just another vampire hard.

“Her making her whole identity being his mate is kind of true isn’t it. I mean what else can we actually say that Esme has accomplished?”Bella asked.

The group went quiet as everyone tried to come up with something. It was Tanya who spoke first.”I can think of absolutely nothing that Esme has done to set herself apart. Even her interior design business wasn’t that significant. Most of her projects are the family’s properties and homes.”

“What does she spend her time doing?”Athenodora didn’t know much about Esme.

Rosalie shrugged.”I honestly don’t know.”

“The more we learn about that her just shows how pitiful she is.”Irina was completely unimpressed with Esme’s life. The woman wasted it by being devoted to an idiot.

“And she will die an unremarkable death.”Tanya didn’t feel bad about it either.

“She deserves no less.”Kate wasn’t going to give Esme the satisfaction in going out in a blaze of glory. Esme would die how she lived. With no one fighting for her.

Before anyone could say anything there was a knock on the door. Athenodora stood.”I’ll get it.”

“I hope this means they have the humans.”Rosalie said.

“What do you want?”Athenodora asked the guard.

“We have brought two humans to the castle your majesty.”The guard told her.

“Bring them to the dungeon and we will meet you there.”Athenodora ignored the guard’s reply and addressed the room.”It seems like we get have some fun with Carlisle now.”

Kate rubbed her hands together in excitement.”I can’t wait to see this.”

“I don’t know who I want to pay attention to when he does it.”Bella wanted to see Carlisle actually kill someone but it would also be fun to see Edward and Esme’s reaction.

“Don’t worry you will get the chance to see the replay.”Didyme reminded her.

“That is something to look forward to.”Rosalie said. She stood from the couch and held out her hand for a willing Bella to take. Together the pair followed the others out of the room. Rosalie was looking forward to seeing Carlisle fall from grace. She wondered if after it was done if he would try something stupid like killing himself. She wouldn’t put it passed him. She couldn’t wait until he did so she could lord the fact that she had never slipped over him. It was something he always took credit for. Claiming Rosalie’s achievements as a bi product of his venom changing her. Getting the chance to prove he is no better than the very thing he despised the most was going to give her unlimited satisfaction. For what he did to Rosalie he deserved to have everything he loved taken away from him. His humanity being the first thing to go. Being there when he gave in was the perfect revenge. The experience being something she was going to savor for the rest of her life.
