Reluctant Mate 4

“Bella come sit with me and tell us about yourself.”Sulpicia said a she patted the spot on the couch next to where she sat. Bella had followed the three queens into Sulpicia’s office that had a large desk with desk chair, two visitor’s chairs and a comfortable looking couch. She had held Athenodora’s hand the entire time. At the first touch of their skin Bella felt the same electricity she felt when she touched Sulpicia and wondered if it would be the same with Didyme. Looking to Sulpicia Bella gulped at the look on the woman’s face. It looked like the queen wanted to devour the human. Bella wasn’t sure how she felt about that but wasn’t totally against the idea. Deciding to take the chance she took a seat next to Sulpicia with Athenodora sitting next to her still holding her hand.

“What would you like to know?”Bella wasn’t asked about herself often and really didn’t know what to tell them.

“How about you start by telling us about your love of women.”Athenodora smiled at the blush that was creeping up Bella’s neck. It seemed the human was easy to fluster. She decided right then that it would be her mission in life to make Bella blush as much as she could. That is until Bella was turned. Something that would be discussed as soon as Bella’s coven leader arrived at the castle. Even if she was a queen they still had to follow vampire customs.

“What?!”Bella squeaked out. She wasn’t expecting that question.

“She’s so cute.”Didyme cooed as she pulled one of the visitor’s chairs in front of the couch close enough that she could reach out and touch Bella is she wanted.

Sulpicia traced a finger from Bella’s cheek down her neck.“That is a fetching color red you are sporting darling.”

“Uhm.”Bella wasn’t sure what was going on but she had a feeling she was in way over her head.

“We will stop teasing.”Sulpicia wanted to continue but didn’t want their poor mate to have a heart attack.

“Speak for yourself.”Athenodora wasn’t going to stop. It was to much fun getting Bella all flustered.

“Why don’t you tell us about your family?”Didyme wanted to know what kind of home life Bella had. That way she would know what arrangements they would have to make to cover up Bella going no contact with them.

Bella took a deep breath to get some control of her hormones. All this attention was making her feel things that she had never felt before and she was having the hardest time not acting on her instincts. Those instincts telling her to kiss each of the queens. It was confusing because Bella had never been this attracted to anyone before let alone three women at once.”I’m an only child. My parents got divorced when I was little and my mom remarried so I have a step father.”

“What are your parents like?”Sulpicia asked.

“Well I moved in with my dad a little over a year ago. He hasn’t been a part of my life before that. Even now he doesn’t get that involved. We are more like roommates who see each other every once in a while. He also made it very clear that he expects me to move out once I graduate.”Bella told them.

“Does he at least provide for you?”Athenodora wasn’t pleased to hear that her mate wasn’t living in a loving home but it would make it easier for Bella to break away from her human life if she didn’t have a close relationship.

“Not really. He gives me a small grocery budget but nothing for anything else. Once I became involved with Rosalie she helped me with expenses then when I met the Denali Tanya took over paying for everything I needed.”Bella was hesitant at first to accept the help but once it was explained to her just how much money the vampires had she agreed. That and it was obvious they enjoyed taking care of her needs. Even if those needs included buying Bella a nicer car than the old truck Charlie gave her.

“We will speak to Tanya about that.”Sulpicia wasn’t going to let anyone other than herself or the other queens take care of their mate.

“What is your mother like?”Didyme asked.

“My mother is an overall horrible human being. She has always been neglectful and only kept custody of me to spite my father and receive child support. With that and the government benefits she got for me she didn’t have to work. She could spend her time partying and traveling with whatever man caught her eye that month.”Bella wasn’t sure why she was being so honest with the queens. Normally she would brush off questions about her parents. With the queens however Bella felt the need to tell them everything about herself. That and a need to know everything about each of them.

”Did she abuse you?”Athenodora would kill Bella’s mother if she did.

“Never physically. She was verbally abusive. Always taking the chance to tell me about how much she regretted having me. How Charlie ruined her life when he stopped her from having the abortion she wanted. She would constantly belittle me and scream at me for how stupid I was.”Bella told them.

Didyme growled.”I’m going to kill her.”

“Your father needs to die as well.”Sulpicia wanted the man dead for leaving Bella in such a situation. That and not supporting her when he finally had the chance.

“Would that be alright with you Bella?”Athenodora wanted the pair dead but didn’t want to upset Bella.

“I don’t really care. I mean if you do I guess I could just live with the Denali.”Bella knew that Tanya would take her in. She had offered numerous times.

“You will be living at the castle from now on.”Didyme told her.

“Why would I do that?”Bella asked.

“That is something we need to work out with your coven leader.”Sulpicia wanted to wait to speak about the mate bond until Tanya and the rest of Bella’s coven was there. That way Bella would have someone she trusted to confirm it was true. Confirm it was true and be there to help Bella if she got overwhelmed. Something the queen expected Bella would be when she found out she was mated to three vampires. At least Bella already identified as a lesbian. Having already gone through her gay awakening would make her accept the bond quicker because she wouldn’t have to come to terms with not being straight.

“Alright I guess.”Bella wanted to know what was going on but had a feeling it had to do with vampire politics. Bella wasn’t allowed to make certain decisions without Tanya’s permission. In the beginning of their relationship that annoyed Bella but as she learned about vampires she understood that they followed very strict laws. Laws that if broken could get you killed. The only reason they hadn’t been killed for exposing Bella was because Bella wasn’t old enough to be turned yet. Vampires weren’t supposed to be turned unless they were over 18. That being an age when they would theoretically have control over their emotions.

“Tell us about your hobbies.”Didyme wanted to know what kind of things that Bella liked to do.

“I recently went cliff diving and would like to try it again.”Bella had a good time with her friends and was planning on going back to the reservation with them to go again.

“You jumped off a cliff!!”Sulpicia did not like the idea of their very fragile human mate jumping off cliffs.

“It was fun. I felt like I was falling forever. It was such a rush.”Bella told her.

“So you are a thrill seeker.”Athenodora wasn’t worried about Bella jumping off cliffs. If the human wanted to go again Athenodora would go with her and keep her safe.

“I don’t know about being a thrill seeker. Cliff diving was the most extreme thing I have ever done. I wanted to learn have to drive a motorcycle but Tanya and Rosalie forbid it.”Bella had argued with them but they refused to give in. They wouldn’t even let her ride behind Kate on the blond’s motorcycle.

“You will not be riding on a motorcycle until you are turned.”Didyme was not going to risk Bella’s safety on such a dangerous machine.

Bella sighed. It seemed like she had at least two more vampires that were going to stop her from having fun. She wasn’t sure if Athenodora was but hoped maybe the queen would be on her side.”Humans ride motorcycles everyday without getting hurt. If I don’t act stupid and wear protective gear I would be perfectly safe.”

“It doesn’t matter what you do. What if someone else hit you or if an animal ran in front of you while you were driving? It way to dangerous.”Sulpicia was already imagining all the ways Bella could get hurt riding on a motorcycle. She didn’t want to even think of all the things that could happen if the girl drove one.

“Other than those two things that you won’t be doing again what else do you like to do?”Didyme hoped Bella had less dangerous hobbies she enjoyed.

“I like to read. Watch movies. Go hiking. Nothing to exciting.”Bella told them.

“Well if you like reading we have a large library that you are more welcome to use.”Sulpicia was happy they had something to keep Bella’s attention away from cliff diving and motorcycles.

“I’ll have to check it out.”Bella expected the castle to have an impressive collection of books. She bet she would find many rare ones.

“We also own many hundreds of acres of land around the castle. Some of it is forested. If you would like to go some time I am more than willing to take you.”Athenodora was already mid fantasy of making love to Bella on a picnic blanket under a tree.

“That would fun.”Bella easily agreed.

Not to be left out Didyme offered.”I can show you the movie theatre we have in the castle. We can get any movie you want to watch even the new releases.”

“I would like that.”The idea of watching a movie alone with Didyme in an empty theatre was something Bella would definitely enjoy.

“Once Tanya and the rest of your coven show up we will make solid plans.”Sulpicia expected the coven to be in Italy very soon.

“Until then let’s collect Rosalie and we will give you a tour of the castle.”Didyme suggested.

“I wouldn’t mind seeing what the castle has to offer.”Bella was interested in seeing what a castle as old as the one she was in was like.

“Good then come along.”Didyme stood from her chair and held her hand out for Bella.

Bella took the hand and once again felt the electric shock.”Why did that happen when I touched all three of you?”

“We will explain everything once your coven leader gets here.”Sulpicia told her.

“Alright.”Bella wanted to push but knew she wouldn’t get any answers. Not only did she have a coven leader but the three women even though they were nice to her were still the queens. Standing from the couch and following the queens out of the room Bella wondered what was going to happen when Tanya and the others made it to the castle. She had a feeling that her life was going to change in a big way. It was obvious that she was connected to the queens somehow but she wasn’t quite sure in what way. Rosalie had told her the queens were a mated triad so Bella knew it wasn’t a mate bond. Maybe they had some kind of familiar bond. Bella frowned thinking about that. If that was true then Bella would be embarrassed about her attraction to each of them. Maybe when she was turned it would change. Vampires were all beautiful so it was only natural for Bella to find them attractive. It didn’t matter what kind of connection they had. Bella had already had a coven. One she wasn’t willing to give up. Not even for the vampire rulers.
