Love Conquers All 5

“Bella are you alright?”Rosalie asked in concern when Bella started groaning in her sleep. When Bella shot up in bed and took off in a run towards the bathroom Rosalie raced after her. She made it just in time to see Bella kneeled on the ground throwing up in the toilet. The fact that there was a toilet in the bathroom was something Rosalie would think about later. Now Bella needed her. Crouching behind Bella Rosalie held her hair back as she emptied her stomach. The more Bella heaved the more worried Rosalie was getting. She needed to get the queens but didn’t want to leave Bella alone. Once it seemed like Bella was done Rosalie sat on the ground, pulled Bella onto her lap and held her gently in her arms.”Can you make it back to the bed?”

“Laying down sounds good but first I want to brush my teeth.”Bella wanted to get the taste of vomit out of her mouth.

Rosalie picked Bella up and carried her to the sink where she set her on the counter. She grabbed one of the tooth brushes and put some tooth paste on and handed it to Bella.”Luckily the queens prepared for us.”

“It was very nice of them.”Bella took her time brushing her teeth making sure that her mouth was clean.”I’m done.”

“Let’s get you in bed and I will call for the queens.”Rosalie picked Bella back up and carried her to bed where she rearranged the pillows and tucked Bella under the blankets.

Bella blushed at the attention Rosalie was giving her.”Thank you.”

“No problem.”Rosalie made sure Bella was settled before walking into their sitting room and opening the door to the hallway where the guards were stationed.”I need you to send a message to the queens that Bella is sick.”

“Yes your highness.”A guard replied before taking off down the hallway.

“Tell them to come right in the bedroom.”Rosalie ignored the title. Not waiting for a reply Rosalie went back to the bedroom and sat on the bed next to Bella. She put her hand on Bella’s forehead.”You don’t feel warmer than you normally do. At least I don’t think you do. Do you have a headache?”

“Actually I feel hungry.”Bella was so hungry she would eat anything put in front of her.

Before they could say anything else the three queens rushed into the room. Didyme made it to Bella’s side first.”What’s wrong?”

“Bella has been vomiting.”Rosalie told her.

“Do you feel sick?”Sulpicia asked.

“No, I feel hungry.”Bella said.

Athenodora smiled.”I don’t think you’re sick Bella. I think you are experiencing the morning sickness phase of your pregnancy.”

“I didn’t even think of that.”Rosalie was going to have to research pregnancy to be prepared for what else Bella would be going through.

“How long is it going to last?”Bella didn’t want to spend all her time throwing up.

“With how fast your pregnancy will progress I doubt more than a week.”Sulpicia hoped that Bella was a patient person because with not only the pregnancy but her being sick the four vampires she was bonded to were going to be extremely protective. Sulpicia knew that they were likely to annoy the human and would have a discussion with her mates and Rosalie about it later.

Bella was very relieved to hear that.”Thank god.”

“That being said why don’t we go to the kitchen and get you something to eat.”Didyme suggested.

“The chef has stocked the kitchen so you can have anything you want.”Sulpicia had sent the woman out with a five page list of things the queen read that pregnant women liked to eat.

Bella went to get out of bed when she suddenly felt a small pain in her side.”Ow.”

“What is it?”Rosalie asked.

“Give me your hand.”Bella took Rosalie’s hand and put it under her shirt.

Rosalie wasn’t sure what was going on until she felt the tiniest nudge against her hand. Her eyes filled with venom tears when she realized what happened.”That’s our baby.”

“That’s our baby.”Bella couldn’t stop the tears that came hearing the awe in Rosalie’s voice. The fact that Rosalie automatically called the baby theirs made any doubt that Rosalie didn’t want to raise the baby with her disappear.

“Bella we are having a baby.”Rosalie whispered. She didn’t think it really hit her that they were having a baby until this very moment. It was like her mind hadn’t comprehended the fact that she was going to be the mother of a real person.

Bella chuckled at how adorable Rosalie was. Wiping her eyes she kissed Rosalie on the cheek.”Yes we are Rose.”

“Are they kicking?”Didyme asked.

“They are.”Rosalie couldn’t believe she was actually feeling her own baby moving.

“I think they like your voice.”Bella told her.

“I think they do to.”Rosalie smiled when she felt another kick.

“Can I feel?”Sulpicia didn’t want to break up the moment but she was excited about being able to feel her grandchild.

Rosalie wanted to deny the queen but knew it was unfair not to let them feel the joy she felt.”Of course.”

“Right here.”Bella took Sulpicia’s hand and put it on her stomach. As soon as the queen’s hand made contact the baby kicked again.

“I felt them!!”Sulpicia was overwhelmed with joy feeling the first sign that her grandchild was a real person. It was one thing being told but another thing all together having proof.

“Let me.”Didyme pushed Sulpicia out the way and replaced her mate’s hand with her own. The baby wasted no time kicking.”They kicked me.”

“This isn’t hurting you is it?”Athenodora asked Bella in concern.

Bella shook her head.”It was just a little uncomfortable feeling it the first time. Now that they are moving around more I’ve gotten used to it.”

“My love do you want to feel them?”Sulpicia asked.

“Yes I would.”Athenodora wasn’t going to miss her chance to feel her grandchild.

“They moved a little bit. You need to put your hand here.”Bella moved Athenodora’s hand until it was right where her baby was positioned.

Athenodora smiled proudly when she felt a nudge against her hand.”Based on that kick I predict they are going to be a strong warrior. I can’t wait to train them.”

“I’m sure they will like that.”Bella didn’t mind Athenodora taking charge of the baby’s training. Not only was she called the warrior queen but Bella was beginning to feel the bond and knew that she could trust all of the queens.

“To make sure they continue to be strong Bella needs to eat.”Didyme hated to break up the moment but Bella needed food.

Rosalie wasted no time picking Bella up and cradling her close to her chest.”Let’s get you some food.”

“Rose I can walk. You don’t have to carry me.”Bella protested.

“I don’t want to take the chance of you tripping and falling.”Rosalie wasn’t going to take any chances. Plus now that she was feeling the bond she liked having Bella close.

“The odds of me tripping and falling are very low.”Bella readjusted herself to get more comfortable.

“You are carrying our child I’m not going to take any chances.”Rosalie told her.

“What would you like to eat Bella?”Sulpicia hoped it was something she would be able to make herself.

“ I could really go for a grilled cheese with bacon.”Bella huffed when instead of letting her sit in a chair Rosalie sat down first and positioned her on her lap.”Are you going to feed me to?”

”I think I will.”Rosalie liked the idea of feeding her mate.

”Is this how it’s going to be my whole pregnancy?”Bella wasn’t sure if she could handle it if it was.

“I’m afraid that not only will Rosalie be acting this way but myself and your other mothers will as well.”Athenodora was actually fighting her instincts to take Bella away from Rosalie to keep her safe.

“Is it because I’m pregnant?”Bella asked.

“Not only because you’re pregnant but because the Cullens haven’t been apprehended yet.”Didyme told her.

“You need me your majesty?”A woman in a chef’s jacket asked when they entered the kitchen.

“My daughter would like a grilled cheese with bacon. Would you please teach me how to make it for her?”Sulpicia didn’t think it would be to hard.

“Of course my queen.”The chef began going through the cabinet and refrigerator pulling out ingredients.”Does she want fries or potato chips to go with it?”

“I’ll take some fries if it isn’t too much trouble.”Bella said.

“If you are having fries you need to eat a salad as well.”Sulpicia was going to make sure that Bella ate something healthy with every meal.

“That’s fine.”Bella wouldn’t mind eating a salad.

Deciding Bella’s need were taken care of Rosalie went back to the queen’s comment.”Are there any updates about the Cullens?”

“We have learned from our investigation so far that Carlisle and the rest of them have been contacting others to try and find you. Tanya of the Denali coven actually reached out to us with her concerns of what happened to you.”Athenodora said.

“What excuse is Carlisle using for me leaving?”Rosalie knew that Carlisle wouldn’t tell anyone the truth.

“He is claiming that you have kidnapped Edward’s mate who is deathly ill and are refusing to let her see a doctor.”Didyme wasn’t surprised at the growl Rosalie let loose.

“Bella is not Edward’s mate!”Rosalie wasn’t going to stand for anyone claiming Bella was anyone but her mate.

Didyme held her hands up in defense.”I wasn’t saying she was. I was simply relaying the information I was told. All of us know that Bella is your mate.”

“Rose it’s alright. No one thinks that I’m Edwards mate. Anyone just has to see us together to know that I’m yours.”Bella snuggled closer to Rosalie hoping to calm her.

Rosalie took a deep breath inhaling Bella’s scent.”I apologize. Now that the bond is stronger my vampire side is demanding I kill anyone who tries to discredit our mate bond.”

“It’s completely understandable.”Athenodora expected many more outbursts from Rosalie in the future. Especially when they dealt with the Cullens.

“Other than Carlisle trying to find out where we are did you find out anything else?”Bella asked.

“Jasper and Alice have enlisted the help of his friend Peter to track you.”Didyme hadn’t been pleased when she found out about it.

“Who is Peter?”Bella had never heard of anyone named Peter before.

“He’s a vampire that has a gift that makes things turn out in his favor.”Athenodora told her.

“What does that mean?”Bella asked.

“Whenever Peter decides he wants something he usually gets it. It’s kind of like he has unlimited luck.”Didyme explained.

“So if he wanted to find us for Carlisle he would be able to pretty easily.”Bella concluded.

“Not only that but if he decided that he was going to capture you and give you back to Carlisle he would more than likely succeed.”Seeing Bella’s distress Athenodora quickly added.”Not that we would let him. He wouldn’t be able to get past the guards or us to get to either of you.”

“But you said he always got what he wanted.”Bella said.

“We actually don’t know how his gift works. Even though he gets his way we don’t know what situations he has been in before for that to happen. I doubt that he has ever been faced with a castle full of gifted vampires trying to keep him from his goal. Why I bet he will give up the cause when he realizes what he is up against.”Didyme was sure Peter wouldn’t want to be involved in anything to do with the Volturi. The man had escaped death once at their hands he probably wouldn’t want to chance it a second time.

“It won’t matter anyway. We will have the Cullens in custody well before he has a chance to find you.”Athenodora wasn’t worried about Peter. The man was no threat to any of them.

“Have the guards located them yet?”Rosalie was confident in the queens ability to protect them but would not feel totally safe until the Cullens were taking care of.

“They have landed in America and are on their way to the Cullen’s home. I don’t expect to hear anything for at least a few hours as they need to be careful to not let the Cullens know they are there and have them flee before they capture them.”Didyme told them.

“I guess we just have to wait until they contact you.”Rosalie didn’t like not knowing but was happy that they would find out something soon.

“Bella your food is ready.”Sulpicia announced setting a plate with two girl cheese sandwiches and a heaping pile of fries on the table in front of where Rosalie and Bella were sitting. She added a large bowl of salad to the spread with a glass of water.”Eat up.”

“Thank you.”Bella picked up the sandwich and self consciously took a bite. The way Sulpicia was staring at her made her uncomfortable.

“How is it?”Sulpicia asked.

“It’s great. Exactly what I wanted.”Bella was actually surprise that the queen was able to make such good human food. Then again she had a chef helping her.

Sulpicia was very proud she was able to provide for her daughter.”I’m glad you like it.”

“After you finish eating we have arraigned for a doctor to come and examine you. As soon as Rosalie informed us about your condition we had her study all of our materials on hybrid pregnancies. She will be able to check to make sure everything is going as it should be.”Didyme and her mates had summoned the doctor before they had even called Rosalie back.

“I will be happy to know that things are going well.”Bella was nervous that the doctor may find out something was wrong.

“You’ll be fine.”Rosalie told her. Receiving a small smile in reply Rosalie pushed Bella’s hair behind her ear and watched her eat. It seemed the queens found the action just as fascinating as Rosalie did as they to were watching closely. Rosalie knew that Bella would eventually get fed up with their constant vigilance but it couldn’t be helped. Bella was her very human mate. Her very human mate that was carrying Rosalie’s child. Just one of those things was enough to make Rosalie be overprotective. Both of them made it so Rosalie wasn’t going to be letting Bella out of her sight. Nor was she going to be letting Bella do anything that could lead to her getting hurt. Rosalie didn’t care if she had to wrap Bella in bubble wrap. She was going to keep her human and their baby safe. Whether it annoyed Bella or not.
