Love Conquers All 4

“How’s she doing?”Sulpicia asked Rosalie. The queen had left her mates to deal with arranging for the guards to retrieve the Cullens. She wanted to check in on their daughters. Their daughters that were finally home where they were meant to be. The three queens had celebrated for a few moments before they focused on the Cullens. Having the two girls in their lives was more than they could have ever hoped for. Adding a grandchild to the family had them overjoyed. Sulpicia had already put together a shopping list of things they would need for the child. She was going to wait until she spoke to Rosalie and Bella before she bought anything. She didn’t want to overstep so soon in their relationship.

“She’s exhausted.”Rosalie told her. Bella had been sleeping deeply for a few hours. Rosalie had held her the entire time rubbing Bella’s back and whispering reassurances when the human stirred every so often.

“How are you doing?”Sulpicia asked.

Rosalie tried to figure out how to put what she felt like into words.”I’m trying really hard to focus on the joy of feeling the mate bond with Bella and having my ultimate dream of being a mother fulfilled. That way I don’t become overwhelmed with memories of everything that happened due to Carlisle forcing me into a false bond with Emmett.”

“Oh my darling girl.”Sulpicia’s heart broke at the look of despair on Rosalie’s face.”I know nothing we can do will ever make what happened go away but know that you are not alone anymore. Not only do you have your true mate but you have three mothers who have loved you for decades. Ever since we caught your scent on Carlisle.”

“That’s another thing I’m trying to wrap my head around.”Rosalie said.

“Are you feeling the affects of the bonds yet?”Sulpicia wondered how strong Rosalie’s bonds were now that she was away from outside influence.

“I don’t think they are fully in place but I do feel comfortable with you here with my vulnerable mate. I know you won’t hurt either of us and that I can trust you. I don’t feel the love and devotion that I know I’m supposed to feel but I do feel a strong fondness for you.”Rosalie expected her feelings to become stronger as more time passed.

Sulpicia took as a good sign that Rosalie would be feeling the full effect of the bonds soon.”How do you feel about Bella?”

“When I held her in my arms at the airport it was like a switch had flipped and I have fallen more in love with her as the minutes pass. It is definitely more an intense than the false bond that I felt with Emmett.”What Rosalie felt for Bella had never even come close to her feelings for Emmett.

“What exactly happened at the airport that made your feelings change?”Sulpicia and the other queens were planning on speaking to the girls about it after they had rested but Sulpicia was too curious to wait.

“At the airport Edward and Jasper’s gifts wouldn’t work on me or Bella. Alice also stopped having any vision with Bella in them. Bella and I think that the baby is somehow enhancing her shield and that it’s protecting me as well.”Rosalie told her.

“That means the child is probably gifted.”Sulpicia concluded.

“It would make sense with Edward and Bella both having gifts that their child would have one as well.”Rosalie didn’t like thinking about Edward being the father of her baby. She was never going to let him near the child no matter what part he had in their creation.

“I’m curious of what kind of gift they would have and why it would it would be affecting Bella. The fact that Bella’s gift is protecting you is interesting as well.”Sulpicia would have to contact Eleazar and ask him his opinion.

“I was wondering if Bella was being influenced by Jasper and Edward if it somehow subdued her gift.”Rosalie said.

“In what way?”Sulpicia asked.

“No one actually tried to find out what limitations Bella had with her gift. As we know a vampire usually has to learn to control their gift and it almost always becomes stronger after they do. I think that Bella’s gift was a lot stronger than all of us knew and that Edward and Jasper’s influence and the fact that no one ever encouraged her to practice with it stunted its growth. I believe the baby didn’t make Bella’s gift stronger I think that somehow they helped it reach its full potential. I don’t know if it because of their gift or not but whatever the baby’s gift is it aided Bella’s ability to protect not only them but Bella’s mate as well.”Rosalie had given it a lot of thought and that’s the conclusion she came to.

“If she is protecting you subconsciously then she may be protecting myself and my mates.”Sulpicia thought if Bella was protecting her mate she may be protecting the queens.

“The only way to know for sure is to have someone with a mental gift try and use it on one of you.”Rosalie wasn’t going to volunteer for that. Even if she did have faith Bella was protecting her.

“Maybe when Bella is feeling a little better we can have Alec use his gift on one of us.”Sulpicia picked Alec because although his gift caused distress it wasn’t painful.

“You should test it before the Cullens come. That way you know if you are protected from Edward and Jasper.”Rosalie suggested.

“Good idea.”Sulpicia would like to know if they were immune to Edward and Jasper. It would give them an advantage over the Cullens.”With Bella being here Alice will probably not be able to see our futures.”

“Then they will not know that you are after them.”Rosalie felt a little better about the chances of the Cullens being caught if Alice’s gift was neutralized.

“Even if they did the guards would find them.”Sulpicia knew the Cullens couldn’t hide from the guard.

“What are you planning on doing with them once you get them to the castle?”Rosalie asked.

“They will be given a trial where they can plead their case against the charges they are being accused of. That is just a formality though. We have more than enough proof of their wrongdoings that there is no way they will be found not guilty.”Sulpicia told her.

“What is their punishment going to be?”Rosalie hoped whatever it was it would be painful.

“I will be reading each of them but I have no doubt that each of them will be sentenced to death.”Sulpicia and her mates were looking forward to killing all those who were involved in the manipulation and deception of Rosalie and Bella.

“Do you think I could help?”Rosalie wanted to be the one to give Carlisle the killing blow.

“I don’t see why not.”Sulpicia was more than willing to let Rosalie be involved in punishing those who wronged her. It would be a way to help her heal from the damage that was caused. Thinking of Rosalie being involved brought with it a thought.”When you were at the airport did Carlisle try and use the sire command on you?”

“If he did it didn’t affect me.”Rosalie hadn’t felt any kind of influence after Bella showed up.

“I wonder if Bella’s shield blocked that too.”Sulpicia knew that Carlisle would’ve done all he could to get Rosalie to leave with them. That meant that Bella most likely severed the sire bond.

“Once I had Bella in my arms it felt like I had come out of a fog. Like I was finally breathing fresh air after a lifetime of breathing just pollution. It was like a weight was lifted off of me. Before I felt like I was moving through quick sand never quite in sync with the rest of the world. Holding Bella in my arms changed all of that and it hasn’t changed since.”Rosalie didn’t want to go back to the way it was ever again.

“I don’t want you to feel obligated but would you be willing to let me try to read you?”Sulpicia was curious if Bella would block Rosalie from her gift. She wouldn’t force Rosalie to allow her to try though.

“I don’t mind.”Rosalie didn’t really care if the queen saw her every memory. She knew that Sulpicia wouldn’t use anything she saw against her and that Sulpicia could trusted.

Sulpicia gently grasped Rosalie’s hand in her own. Closing hers and concentrating she was surprised with the lack of vision.”I see nothing.”

“I guess Bella is still protecting me.”Rosalie was happy with the evidence of Bella caring about her enough to keep her safe. It gave her proof that Bella was feeling the mate bond.

“I think it would be a good idea to test my gift with the other queens.”Sulpicia was still going to experiment with Alec but wanted to know if Bella could block her gift from working on others.

“Rose.”Bella murmured in her sleep.

“I’m here Bella.”Rosalie softly whispered in Bella’s ear.

Bella snuggled closer to Rosalie.”Don’t go.”

“I’m not leaving sweetheart.”Rosalie assured her. She gently ran her fingers through Bella’s hair causing Bella to settled back down.

“I think she is feeling the bond.”Sulpicia said.

“I don’t like that it’s making her insecure.”Rosalie didn’t want Bella thinking she was going to leave her.

“Time and reassurance are the only things that will fix that.”Sulpicia told her.

“Luckily I will be able to give her both those things.”Rosalie would step up anytime Bella needed to hear that Rosalie wasn’t going anywhere.

“I’m going to leave you two for now. I want to check in with the chef to make sure he got the food I requested for Bella’s meals.”Sulpicia had given the woman a list of everything that Bella needed for a healthy, nutritious diet.

“Does she have to eat certain things for the baby?”Rosalie asked.

Sulpicia shook her head.”She doesn’t have to have anything specific but she will have to eat large amount to keep up with the rapid growth of the baby. We are going to have to begin giving her blood though an iv to keep the baby healthy. Initially the mothers would have to drink it but with the advancements in medicine Bella won’t have to.”

“That’s good.”Rosalie didn’t think Bella would feel comfortable drinking human blood.

“I do predict that she will start having cravings soon.”Sulpicia said.

“I guess that’s a normal part of being pregnant.”Rosalie hadn’t really thought of how the pregnancy would go. She was more focused on the fact that they were having a baby not about how they would get to the point of it being born.

“It’s also the reason I had the chef stock the kitchen with different kind of foods. I hope that Bella prefers a healthier diet but I doubt any of us will deny her what she wants.”Sulpicia may have planned for Bella to eat healthy but knew that she, her mates and Rosalie would give Bella what she requested.

“Probably not.”Rosalie would give Bella anything she wanted. The human was carrying Rosalie’s child she deserved to have her every wish fulfilled.

“Another thing we will have to discuss is how you want your wing of the castle decorated.”Sulpicia told her.

“What do you mean my wing?”Rosalie asked.

“When we caught your scent on Carlisle we immediately had the castle remodeled and added a group of rooms next to our own wing. This bedroom was one of them. We got the bed after I got off the phone with you. We suspected you were our bond child but if you weren’t we were planning on letting Bella and the child use the rooms so they would be safe.”Sulpicia explained.

“Thank you.”Rosalie wasn’t sure quite how to feel about the queens doing that for her and Bella. Carlisle never went out of his way for her comfort. The fact that the queens did so much before they even met just proved to Rosalie that the familiar bond was real. Not that she doubted it anymore. The entire time the queen had been in the room with them Rosalie’s feelings for her went from a fondness to the beginnings of a love one would have for a parent.

“It’s no problem. When Bella wakes up let the guards outside the room know. One of them will come get us and we will get Bella some food. Then after she is done eating we can talk more.”Sulpicia was planning on having the chef teach her how to cook Bella’s food. She wanted the chance to take care of her daughter.

“She will most likely be hungry when she wakes up.”Rosalie said.

“I’ll see you soon.”Sulpicia held herself back from giving Rosalie a hug. They weren’t to that point in their relationship yet.

“See you soon.”Rosalie replied. Watching the queen leave the room Rosalie thought about everything they spoke about. Knowing that the Cullens were getting a death sentence made her extremely happy and Rosalie knew it was going to make Bella happy too. Both of them had a lot of healing to do. Having their abusers dead would be good first step in that process. Rosalie was looking forward to being involved in killing them. With Bella protecting her from the sire bond she might be able to be the one to kill Carlisle. It was to bad that Bella was still human. She deserved a chance to get her own justice. Rosalie would just have to make sure she made it as painful as possible for her former coven. Bella was most likely going to watch so Rosalie would make sure to take her time so that Bella could see everything happening. Rosalie tightened her arms around Bella smiling at the thought of what was in store for the Cullens. She was going to get her revenge and it was going to be very satisfying.
