“Isabella sit in the back and pay attention.”Jane told her sister as the Volturi guard led the Cullens on to the private jet.Jane had wanted to interrogate them somewhat on the field of the battle but since Isabella wasn’t completely focused decided it would be just better to load everyone on the plane and bring them back to the castle.She was not looking forward to what was going to happen when they got there however.Isabella having a mate was going to create waves with the royals.Jane knew that although her parents were going to be happy for their daughter they weren’t going to be happy that Isabella’s mate was an animal drinking Cullen.Even one of the Denali would be better than a Cullen.Jane turned her attention to Rosalie.”Are you going to behave or do I have to separate you two?”

“I am in perfect control of myself.”Rosalie was highly offended that Jane thought otherwise.

“Sure you are.”Felix muttered as he made his way to the back of the plane.

Jane ignored him.”You may sit together but you will not shield yourselves.”

“Even from sound?”Isabella wanted a chance to talk to her mate without anyone hearing them.

“If you pay attention then you can.I don’t want you completely distracted.”Jane told her.

“Thank you sister.”Isabella took Rosalie’s hand in her own and led her to the back of the plane taking seats across the aisle from Felix.

“What did you mean when you asked if you could shield us from sound?”Rosalie asked.

“I have a gift that allows me to shield myself from physical and mental influences.One of the aspects is that I can shield ourselves so no-one can hear us.”Isabella told her.

“That’s a valuable gift to have.”Rosalie wondered something.”You said mental as well.Are you the reason that Edward and Alice aren’t able to use their gifts around the Volturi?”

Isabella nodded.”You are now covered as well.”

“So Edward can no longer hear my thoughts?”Rosalie asked.

“As soon as I locked eyes with you my gift began protecting you.So as long as you are near me you will be safe from other gifts.Even Felix wouldn’t be able to track you.”Isabella explained.

“Thank you.”Rosalie was now feeling very smug that it was her own mate that was blocking her family’s gifts.She hoped she got a chance to rub it in Edward’s face that he would never get to read her mind ever again.

“It’s no problem.”Isabella assured her.”So tell me about yourself.”

“There isn’t much to tell.I was turned by Carlisle and he has kept me with his coven since then.I have numerous times tried to go off by myself but with Alice and Edward’s gifts he has been able to keep track of me.He makes us go to high school over and over again so that we can stay in one place for longer.That way he can fulfill his desire to not only play family but to be a doctor.”Rosalie told her.

Isabella growled thinking of her mate being controlled in such a way.”I will make him pay for that.”

“If you do can I help you?”Rosalie wouldn’t pass up the chance to take revenge on Carlisle.

“Of course.He has wronged you the most.”Isabella would always make sure her mate had a chance to get her own justice.

“What do you think will happen to my coven?”Rosalie wasn’t going to call them her family because they were not.They were her captors.

“I’m not sure.I personally was hoping when my father told me about this mission that I would be able to kill you all but he and my uncles forbid me from doing so.”Isabella was now glad that she didn’t. It seemed that Rosalie wasn’t that keen on the coven and Isabella would like her mate to have a chance to be involved in their punishments.

Rosalie perked up hearing Isabella saying her father.”So it is true you have a parental bond with one of the kings?”

“I have a parental bond with Caius and Athenodora.Not only that but I have a sibling bond with Jane and Alec.”Isabella told her.

“So you are family to not only the warrior king and queen but the witch twins as well?”Rosalie now understood why her mate was so formable.Her pedigree was linked to the most powerful vampires that ever existed.It was obvious that fate would make sure Isabella was just as impressive as her bond mates.

“I am.”Isabella was very proud to claim the four as her family.

“How did you come to live at the castle?There were rumors the royals were raising a human child but now one believed it.”Rosalie said.

“Jane found me on one of her missions.There was a nomad that was causing problems in the area of Phoenix that I was living in. I had been 8 at the time and had just committed my first murder.”Isabella began only to be cut off.

“You were 8 yrs old when you had your first kill?”Rosalie didn’t know if she believed that.

“I was. A man my mother was dating had an attraction to young girls.I had initially gone to my mother for help but she called me a liar and told me to stop hitting on her boyfriend.”Isabella told her.

“You were being abused and your mother basically blamed you for it?”Rosalie reached out her hand to take Isabella’s in her own.It broke her heart to learn that her mate went through something similar to her own experiences.The fact that Isabella was a child made it even more horrific.

“She did.When she dismissed me and the man continued I began to plan how to stop him.I won’t go into details but the torture I put him through was so gruesome that when Jane was investigating the nomad she initially credited the vampire with the kill.It wasn’t until she searched the scenes for clues did she catch my scent.Once she smelt me she knew that I was important to her and she sought me out.”Isabella explained.

“Did you ever get caught for killing the man?”Rosalie was proud that her mate took her time with her victim.It was exactly what she had done with her abusers.If the bond didn’t prove they were meant to be together then knowing each of their origins would have cemented it.

Isabella shook her head.”No he was linked to the vampire the humans dubbed a serial killer.I was never even questioned when the police came around to inform my mother and talk to her.”

“That’s very impressive.”Rosalie said.”What happened when Jane found you?”

“She of course was beyond surprised that I was so young.Her pride in my actions was obvious though.The bond was immediate and even as a human child I felt great affection for her.When we first talked I knew right away that I could trust her and she would never hurt me.After that first conversation she kidnapped my mother and took both of us to an abandoned building where we spent two days showing my mother the error of her ways.”Isabella smiled thinking about that.It was hers and Jane’s first time bonding.

“Jane and you tortured and killed your mother together?”Rosalie was beyond surprised.

“She asked me if I wanted to let my mother go or if I wanted to punish her for ignoring my pleas for help.I told her that she deserved to be treated like the man who hurt me treated me.Jane granted my wish and promised that I would be able to help her inflict pain.”Isabella told her.

“I wish I could have helped you.”Rosalie would have loved to hurt not only the man who hurt Isabella but her mate’s mother as well.

“Jane and I did a very good job.”Isabella said.

“How did you end up in the castle?”Rosalie asked.

“Jane informed the kings of the bond and they allowed her to bring me to the castle.Once there I was brought before them and met Caius.He didn’t even wait until I was introduced before he had called for Athenodora and before I knew what was happening I was in the queen’s arms being snuggled between her and Caius.From then on I was raised in the castle like a regular child.”Isabella explained.

Rosalie chuckled.”I doubt it was a regular experience to be raised in the castle.”

“That’s true.”Isabella agreed.”In my mind it was regular but I guess starting out as an 8 yr old with fight training by my parents wasn’t that normal.I did have tutors and a bed time though so that was normal and even though I stayed in my parents rooms they gave me toys and wanted me to experience life as a human.I of course rebelled against the idea of being human.I started begging to be turned as soon as they explained what a vampire was.It drove my parents nuts.”

“I would imagine wanting to be like your family if that was all you have ever really known.”Rosalie said.

“How about you?How did you come to be a vampire?”Isabella asked.

“My story is a bit like yours.I was born in the early 1900’s to a wealthy family in America.My parents were more concerned with what I could do for them than what I wanted out of life.It was when I was 18 that they arranged a marriage for me with the local bank owner’s son.His name was Royce and he was a loud mouthed, rude, insufferable human being.I didn’t like him and no matter what I said my parents weren’t going to let me break the engagement.”Rosalie told her.

“Have you always been gay or does our bond surprise you?”Isabella asked.

“I have always been gay.I had a lover while I was human and was known to spend my savings on a nonjudgmental prostitute that lived in the city.She was very discrete.”Rosalie smiled thinking about Gladys.”She caught me one to many times looking at her girls and approached me.She was kind to me and I was more than willing to pay her for her services.”

“I understand why you would have to seek out someone like that during that time period.”Isabella wasn’t disgusted by Rosalie’s past.In her place Isabella would have done the same thing.

“I know that even if the times were more understating of gay people my parents would have still forced me to marry Royce.”Rosalie said getting back to her story.”It was a winter night when I was just coming back from my lover a housewife who’s husband wasn’t at home that night when I came upon Royce and his friends.They had been drinking but not enough to not know what they were doing.I will not tell you the details but when they were done with me I was on the verge of death.”

Isabella growled.”I hope that you killed them.”

“That part comes later.”Rosalie told her.”Carlisle found me and instead of letting me die he decided that I would be the perfect mate for Edward.”

“I will take great pleasure in killing that man.”Isabella was going to beg her parents to let her.

“I will take great pleasure in helping.”Rosalie had imagined so many ways to kill most of her coven.The fact that Isabella was going to help her make that happened made her love her mate even more.

“So once Carlisle turned you what happened?”Isabella asked.

“I of course rejected Edward right away.I can’t prove it mind you but I think that Edward had already picked me out.He tried to make advances and when I denied him he claimed that I was to damaged for him.That he would never want someone as vain and stupid as me.”Rosalie squeezed Isabella’s hand when she felt her mate tense.”He’ll get what is coming to him.”

“It will be very painful.”Isabella promised.

Rosalie kissed her on the cheek.”I know.So after I was changed and figured out what was going on I left the family long enough to hunt, torture and kill all of the men who hurt me.Edward and Carlisle tried to stop me but they couldn’t.I was hell bent on my revenge.”

“I’m glad you got it.”Isabella said.

“I am to.”Rosalie knew if she hadn’t she probably would have gone mad with the amount of anger she had when she woke up.

“Isabella look alive.”Jane said as she stood up from her seat.”We are landing and I need you to guard the back.”

“Of course Jane.”Isabella straightened her posture and focused her mind on the task at hand.

“I can stay with you right?”Rosalie asked.

“I don’t want you to leave my side no matter what happens.”Isabella knew that there was going to be a lot of action when the Cullens got off the plane and needed Rosalie to stay near her so she could protect her.

“I don’t want to be anywhere else.”Rosalie returned the smile Isabella was giving her.Rosalie was somewhat concerned with what was going to happen in the castle but had faith that Isabella would keep her safe.The idea of meeting her parents was making her nervous and Rosalie hoped that her past actions would be enough proof that she never wanted to follow Carlisle in his beliefs.Being associated with the Cullens was embarrassing enough but Rosalie didn’t want that to be what people thought of her as.Just another animal drinker who only wanted peace.How to prove herself otherwise she wasn’t sure but she was sure as hell going to try.
