“So what do you want to do now?”Irina asked from her spot next to Tanya on the couch.She was beyond annoyed that Rosalie had led Bella to a love seat and took the seat next to the human.Irina’s plan for watching a movie was that of sitting next to Bella and cuddling her daughter.She began to protest but Tanya had reminded her that Bella still didn’t know them.That hurt because even though it was true once Irina had seen Bella it felt like she had known Bella her whole life.

“Do you want to check out my garage?”Rosalie asked.She had been lucky enough to get her wish of Bella snuggling under the blanket with her while they watched the movie.At first Bella was stiff and uncomfortable but as the movie played the human had relaxed and had moved to sit right next to Rosalie.

“Uh yeah sure.”Bella didn’t think anything could go wrong looking at cars.

“Great, we’ll be back.”Rosalie didn’t wait for a reply as she grabbed Bella’s hand and pulled her out the door.

“Slow down.”Bella said.

“Sorry.I’m excited.Cars are my one true passion.”Beside you, Rosalie added inside her head.

“Well I already agreed to come with you so we don’t have to run.”Bella was almost out of breath when they made it into the garage.

“Are you ok?Do you need some water?”Rosalie asked in concern.She rolled her eyes when Irina was suddenly standing in the doorway holding a bottle of water.

“I figured if you two were going to be in here Bella would need a drink.”Irina had been concerned when she heard Bella’s labored breathing and rushed as quickly as she could to bring her daughter some cold water.

“Thanks.”Bella accepted the bottle and downed half of it before putting the lid back on.

Irina smiled brightly.”It’s no problem Bella.Anything you need let me know.”

“We will.”Rosalie made a motion for Irina to leave and when she didn’t let loose a small growl to warn the woman off.

As Irina was just about to go after Rosalie for growling at her Tanya appeared and wrapped her arm around her mate holding her back.”How about Irina and I go inside and work on lunch.”

“Good idea.”Rosalie said.

Bella looked between the the women confused with the hostility she could feel in the room.”Uh yeah sure that would be nice.”

“Then we will leave you be.If you need anything let us know.”Tanya kept a tight grip on Irina and all but carried her back to the house her growling lowly the entire way.

“Are they ok?”Bella asked.

“They’re fine.”Rosalie assured her.”They are just a little overbearing because you know Sasha.”

“That makes sense.”Bella could understand wanting to be around someone who had a link to their dead mother.

“So let me show you my current project.”Rosalie led Bella to the corner of the garage where she had a mechanic’s bay set up.She walked to the lift and pushed a red button causing the car that was suspended in the air to lower to the ground.

“This is a fancy setup.”Bella had never seen as many machines and tools outside of an actual business.

“Like I said cars are my passion.Every house we move to has a garage like this.”Rosalie said.

Bella looked over the car impressed with how clean it looked.”I don’t know much about cars but it looks like you have done some good work.”

“Thank you Bella.”Rosalie beamed at the complainant.

“Bella I need a favor.”Ralph said as he suddenly appeared in front of her.

Bella jumped back.”For fucks sake Ralph.”

“Ralph?Is he here right now?”Rosalie asked concerned.

Bella nodded.”What do you want?”

“Well here’s the thing.”Ralph rubbed his hand on the back of his neck.”I kind of did something to get to the front of the line to talk to you.”

“What did you do Ralph?!”Bella asked.

“Well I sort of made a deal with someone.”Ralph said.

“What kind of deal?!”Bella knew she wasn’t going to like whatever Ralph was about to tell her.

Ralph held up his hands and backed away from Bella.”It’s nothing bad.I promise.”

“What’s going on Bella?”Rosalie was becoming very concerned with what she was hearing.

“Tell me Ralph.”Bella demanded.

“What’s going on?”Tanya asked as she followed by Irina ,Kate, Alice and Emmett made their way into the garage.

Rosalie rolled her eyes at the group.”Bella is talking to Ralph.Apparently he made a deal with someone and is coming to Bella to help him fulfill his side of the bargain.”

“Now Ralph.”Bella focused on the man in front of her and ignored the group of people in the garage.

“Ok before you get mad I would like to remind you that my case was time sensitive.I wouldn’t have offered to put in a word for the others if I didn’t think it was really important.”Ralph told her.”That being said I need a favor.”

“Stop talking in circles what do you want?”Bella was getting beyond annoyed with the situation.

“Fine, I kind of promised that you would allow some of my friends a chance to talk with their loved ones if they helped me get to you first.”Ralph rushed out.

Bella threw her hands up.“Why the hell would you do that?”

“What is going on?”Irina didn’t like not knowing if her daughter was in danger or not.

“I can’t tell you certain things as that’s against the rules but the people you are with right now were destined to be in your life.”Ralph said.

“What do you mean they were destined to be in my life?”Ralph wasn’t making any sense and Bella wasn’t sure she cared enough to hear anymore.

“Like I said it’s against the rules but because of that certain people had a priority to talk to you ahead of the rest of us.I kind of skipped the line with their help.”Ralph explained.

“What about Cindy and Ben?”Bella asked.

“They kind of snuck through.”Ralph said.

“OK so if you skipped the line who are these people I need to talk to?”Bella wasn’t keen on what was happening but would deal with it like she did everything else.

“Well there’s a girl named Vera.She wants to go first.”Ralph told her.

“Who is Vera and who does she want me to talk to?”Bella’s attention was drawn to Rosalie when she heard the girl gasp.”Do you know someone named Vera?”

Rosalie nodded as she felt her eyes filled with venom tears.”She was my best friend.”

“Well apparently Ralph made a deal with some people to skip to the head of the line to talk to me.It seems Vera was one of those people and I assume she wants to talk to you.”Bella said.

“Yeah she does but there are others as well.For the other three blonds it’s Sasha and for the one named Kate it’s a man named Arthur.Then for Alice it’s a woman named Cynthia.The big guy someone named Melody. There are a few others but the people who you need for that aren’t here right now.”Ralph explained.

Bella tuned her attention to the others.”Ok so for each of you there are people who want to talk to you.Irina, Tanya that would be Sasha. Kate that would be Sasha and a man named Arthur.”

“You can talk to my father?”Kate asked in awe.She had wanted Bella to call up some ghost but didn’t expect her to be able to contact her family.

“He isn’t here right now.Emmett someone named Melody wants to talk to you.”Bella told him.

Emmett smiled brightly.“That’s my mother.”

“Is there anyone for me?”Alice asked excitedly.She hoped that someone from her human life would contact Bella so she could find out more about her family.

“Yes a woman named Cynthia.”Bella turned back to Ralph.”So when am I going to have these talks?”

“Well Vera would like to have hers now and the others you just have to call out for them and they will come.”Ralph explained.

“Fine tell Vera now is a good time.”Bella said.

“Vera is coming right now?”Rosalie patted her hair down and fixed her shirt in nervous anticipation when Bella nodded.

“How about the rest of us?”Irina asked.

“Ralph said that I just have to call for them and they will come.So I guess we can figure out when each of you want to talk to your people.”Bella knew that this was going to be a long day because there was no way that anybody was going to miss a chance to speak to a loved one.

“Let’s give Rosalie some privacy.When you’re done let us know.”Even though Tanya and the others would be able to hear what was going on she wanted to give Rosalie the illusion of privacy.

“This isn’t going to hurt you is it?”Irina asked in concern.She wanted to talk to her mother but not if it would be dangerous for Bella.

“No it is just like having a conversation with you.It doesn’t actually affect me.”Bella told her.

“That’s good to hear.Let us know when you are done.”Irina said as she followed the others back to the house.

“So how does this work?”Rosalie asked.

“Well once Vera shows up I will basically have a conversation with you.You won’t be able to hear her but she will be able to see and hear you.”Bella explained.When an older woman dressed in dated clothing materialized Bella knew by the look of happiness the ghost had in her eyes looking at Rosalie it had to be Vera.”She’s here.”

“She is what does she look like?”Rosalie looked around but didn’t see anyone.

“She looks like an older woman with grey hair dressed in clothes from the 1960’s.”Bella was confused as to how this would be Rosalie’s best friend.

“Thank you for doing this Bella.”Vera said.

“Yeah, Yeah I’m super amazing.”Bella said sarcastically.”You can begin when you want.”

“Ask her how she has been.”Rosalie said.

“She says that she has been living at peace and thanks you for helping out with her family over the years.”Bella told her.

“She knows about that?”Rosalie was surprised that Vera knew about her help.

Bella nodded.”She claims that she knew it was you that helped her all along and that she was saddened that you never came back to her.”

“I couldn’t.”Rosalie had thought about it so many times but the laws kept her from visiting her only friend.

“She says she knows and that you shouldn’t feel bad that you didn’t.It wouldn’t have been worth the trouble.”Bella said.

“Still I watched over you and had Alice give me updates.”Rosalie had pestered Alice constantly for news of her family and friend.

“She has watched over you as well.She says that you need to let go of the past and that what happened to you will not stop you from having the happy family you always wanted.You just have to wait a little longer and everything you have prayed for will come true.”Bella told her.

“Everything?”Rosalie knew that Vera had known she always wanted to get married and have children.

“She says that a happy family is in the cards for your future.You just have to be creative.”Bella didn’t know what that meant nor did she want to.

“I don’t understand.”Rosalie said.

“She says that humans don’t need to have sex to make babies.”Bella stopped for a second when she realized what she just said.” Wait a second why am I having the sex talk with Rosalie?Didn’t your parents talk to you about this?”

Rosalie laughed at the uncomfortable look on Bella’s face.”Yes they did.”

“Right.”Bella was now sure she didn’t want to be having this conversation.”Anyway she says someone named the Volturi will look the other way if your mate has a child as long as you guarantee the child will eventually be turned.”

“Are you sure?”Rosalie hadn’t really thought that would be an option.

”She said something about you having a living male relative that makes regular deposits.”Bella once again stopped to stare at Vera incredulously.”Are you talking about donating sperm.I’m not sure I want to continue this conversation.”

“Please Bella.”Rosalie wanted to hear more of Vera’s plan and needed Bella to tell her what to do.

Bella sighed.”She said that as long as you informed Sulpicia that you are going to have a child and promise to let her be involved in the child’s life that you will get the Volturi’s blessing.Apparently you must request an audience with her and bring your mate.I don’t really understand what Vera is saying just that the queen is the one who will be your advocate.”

“I understand.”Rosalie wasn’t sure she liked the idea of involving the queen in her life but if she could have a child with Bella one that would be part Rosalie as well then she was sure she would do it.

“Is there anything else you want to say?”Bella asked Vera.

“Actually yes.”Vera said.”Would you be willing to facilitate future conversations with Rosalie?”

Bella looked over to Rosalie and sighed.”Yes I will.”

“You will what?”Rosalie asked.

“Vera wanted to know if I would be willing to help you have conversations with her again in the future.”Bella told her.

“And you said yes?”Rosalie asked hopefully.

Bella sighed again.”I said yes.”

“Thank you Bella.”Rosalie pulled Bella into a tight hug. She started to pull back thinking she made the human uncomfortable but when Bella finally relaxed into the hug and hugged her back Rosalie smiled.

Bella let the hug go on for a little bit then patted Rosalie on the back and pulled away.”Yeah it’s no problem.”

“Thank you Vera.You just changed my whole life.If you ever need anything I am at your service.”Rosalie would never be able to repay her best friend for the gift she gave Rosalie.The knowledge of how to go about having a child with her mate was invaluable.

“She says you’re welcome and she will let me know.”Bella told her.”She left.”

“Would it be alright if we just sit in here for a few minutes before you go to the others?”Rosalie needed a moment to just be with her mate.

Bella shrugged.”That’s fine.”

“Thanks.”Rosalie held out her hand for Bella and smiled brightly when Bella took it willingly.She led Bella to the couch in the back of the garage and sat down right next to her.Feeling bold Rosalie laid her head on Bella’s shoulder holding her breath waiting to see what Bella would do.When she didn’t push Rosalie away Rosalie sighed happily.When the day started she was so unhappy having Tanya ride with her and now she was sitting in her favorite place with her mate. Not only that she was given the way to have a child.A child that would come from her family as well.Rosalie could handle that. A baby that was both part Bella part her was something to look forward to but first she needed to take her mate on a date.Maybe while Bella was talking to the others Rosalie could find something interesting to take Bella to.Somewhere far away from a cemetery of course.Rosalie didn’t want any random ghost to interrupt their time together.
