Love Song For A Vampire 17

“It’s been a long day.”Rosalie said as she closed the door to her bedroom after Bella entered.Bella had changed not only Emmett but Alice, Veronica and Jasper as well.The changing wasn’t the tiring part for Rosalie it was the after care. None of her siblings had enough strength to do much and Rosalie found herself and Bella helping Jasper and Veronica take showers and get clean.Well Sebastian helped Jasper to actually shower Bella just helped dress him and get him into to bed with Alice.Once that was done the four new humans needed to be fed so Rosalie and Bella took care of that while Sebastian played some video games.Now for the first time she could ever remember Rosalie was exhausted.

“That it has my love.”Bella agreed.

Rosalie reached out her hand.”Come lay with me.”

“Do you want to change into pajamas first?”Bella asked.

“Not yet.” Rosalie was hoping to rest for a bit and then finally make a move to get Bella naked.She needed a minute to regain some energy first.

“Alright.”Bella gladly laid next to Rosalie keeping their fingers intertwined.

“How are you feeling?You did a lot today.”Even though Rosalie had helped as much as she could it was Bella who did the most out of anybody who was involved with the turnings.

“I’m a little tired but I feel fine.”Bella wasn’t that effected from using her magic as she seemed to have larger reserves to call on than most fae.”How about you?”

“I’m the same.A little tired but fine.”Rosalie said.”I think it still hasn’t hit me yet that my brothers and sisters are now human.Hell I’m still trying to wrap my mind around the fact that I’m human as well.”

“Do you miss being a vampire?”Bella asked.

Rosalie shook her head.”I can honestly say that I do not miss being a vampire. I have never liked being a vampire and through out my entire existence as one I have resented Carlisle for saving me because after a few decades I thought you were dead.All I longed for is to die as well so we could be together in the after life.”

“I should have been there to save you that night.”Bella would never forgive herself for what happened to Rosalie.

“I never blamed you.”Rosalie had never even considered it to be Bella’s fault for what those men did.

“I blame myself.”Bella said.

“It wasn’t your fault.No one could have known that those men would have attacked me that night.They probably didn’t even know they were going to attack me until they saw me walking by.”Rosalie told her.

“It’s just if I didn’t leave you, you wouldn’t have had to deal with not only the attack but being a vampire and being stuck in Carlisle’s coven.Maybe if I had stayed then I could have saved you myself.”Bella had went over all the different ways she couldn’t prevented what happened to Rosalie that night and the conclusion she came to was it was Bella’s fault for not preventing it.

Rosalie sighed.”Sweetheart you can’t hold on to this.The actions of those men were not your own.It’s taken me a long time to come to terms with what happened and I know that it wasn’t my fault and it wasn’t your fault.The blame falls solely on those men.”

“I know you are right it’s just hard to shake off the blame when what happened took you away from me.”Bella said.

“At least those men didn’t get away with it.”Rosalie was more than satisfied with the punishment that Bella doled out to her attackers.

Bella smiled thinking about the sounds those men made as she punished each of them.”No, by the time I was done with them they not only regretted what they did to you but they regretted even being born.”

“I knew it was you who did it.Carlisle and the others tried to convince me otherwise but I knew.There was noway you would let it go.”Carlisle and the others were sure it was a serial killer but Rosalie held fast to her belief that Bella had avenged her.When she had found out what Bella had done it made Rosalie love her even more than she already had.

“It doesn’t matter how you are wronged I will always be there to defend your honor.”Bella didn’t care what the situation was she would be there to stand up against anyone or anything to defend Rosalie.

“Can I ask where you were that day?You said you had to visit your family but as I know that you aren’t actually related to those people what were you doing?”Rosalie asked.

“It was a special holiday dedicated to me.Initially people would bring offerings and they would hold huge celebrations in honor of my birth but I did away with those once I was old enough to realize what a waste it was.When people expressed they still wanted to celebrate I turned the holiday into a week long event where any member of the fae could approach me for a blessing.”Bella told her.

“So the reason you were away was because you were granting blessings?”Rosalie couldn’t blame Bella for not being with her if she was doing something so noble.Not that Rosalie did blame Bella for not being there.

Bella nodded.”It happens every year.When it first started I only did it for a day but as more people starting showing up I expanded it to a week.”

“Is that the only time you give out blessings?”Rosalie wondered how much Bella did for her people as it seemed Bella spent a lot of time in the human realm.

“No, there are other holidays. Sometimes I tour the realm to reach out to those who can’t make it to the high church and other times I just stop into an infirmary and lend a hand.Or like with Errol I come across someone who needs help.”Bella told her.

“That’s amazing.”Rosalie was in awe of how selfless her mate was.She didn’t think she would have the patience to help as many people as Bella did.

“The High Priestess always reminded me that it was God’s will that I was born with such strong magic and because he gave it to me he wanted me to be his vessel for healing.I may not believe I’m an angel but I am a devoted follower of my God and to thank him for the gift he gave me I try to use it for as much good as I can.”Bella didn’t think she had angel blood but she would admit that God had granted her an incredible gift when he gave her her magic.

“I still think you’re an angel.”Rosalie held up her hand to stop Bella’s objections.”I get it you don’t think so but I do.Not only that but the fact that you acknowledge that God gave you your magic and use it for selfless reasons proves you are because if you weren’t you would probably be corrupt and charge people for blessings.”

“I would never do that.I don’t even accept money from the church itself so there is no way I would take money from people to help them.”Bella had never even considered trying to make money off of giving blessings.

“If you don’t get money from the church where do you get money from?”Rosalie asked.

“I had job when I was younger picking vegetables on a farm that I stayed at for a couple years just long enough to be able to buy my own farm where I allow other people to use the land in exchange for them maintaining the land and when I’m home they provide some of the food they grow so I can eat.”Bella told her.

“You picked vegetables and made enough money to buy your own farm?”Rosalie wasn’t sure she believed that.It would have taken Bella a long time to make that kind of money.

“Well you have to remember I had free room and board at the churches.They would feed me and give me a place to sleep and in return I would attend their services.The churches I stayed at would bring in higher attendance when I was there so they had no problem putting me up.”Bella explained.

“That sounds like they were almost taking advantage of you.”Rosalie wasn’t sure how she felt about the fairies using Bella’s need for shelter as a way to bring in more followers.

Bella shrugged.”It wasn’t a big deal.I would attend service even if I didn’t stay there and seeing more people fill the church was always a welcome sight.”

“You’re to nice.”Rosalie would have to look out for Bella in the future if her mate allowed things like that to happened more often.

“I’m not always that nice.”Bella said.

“Yeah but I bet the only time you are mean is to someone who deserves it.”Sebastian had told Rosalie about the people that Bella refused to even meet with because she felt they were only out for themselves.From the stories he told Bella was beyond nice and just didn’t want to waste her time with fake people.

“I like to think so but it’s not up to me to be the judge so sometimes my actions aren’t easy to forgive.”Bella liked to think she was a good judge of people but nobody was perfect so she probably was unkind to some who didn’t deserve it.

“You are being to hard on yourself.I mean you had more than enough reason to kill both Carlisle, Edward and even Lauren but instead you took the more humane course and just put them to sleep.”Rosalie would have preferred that Bella had maimed them a little more but maybe when they were woken back up Rosalie would get the chance to take an arm or two.

“I fear for Lauren’s life if she comes back here before we leave again because I have no control of how my people will react to any more of her disrespect.”Bella knew her guards would probably kill Lauren before the girl even opened her mouth to speak.

“How much influence do you have over the guards?”Rosalie asked.

“Not as much as you would think.”Bella said.

“Are they hired by the church to protect you?”Rosalie figured that the church would be the ones that foot the bill for Bella’s safety.

Bella shook her head.”No they are a part of a special branch of the military that is dedicated to be my guards.I think you would equate them to the secret service mixed with special forces.The government picks each candidate and they go through intense training before they are allowed to even shadow my guards.”

“So they government provides your security?”Rosalie asked.

“Yes, I’m not that involved with government matters but after some arguments between myself and the High Priestess I accepted the protection.”Bella didn’t like having people following her around everywhere but put up with it because fighting it was to much of a headache.

“Well I’m glad you have it.”Rosalie knew how powerful Bella was but she liked the fact that her mate would always have people there looking out for her safety.

“You have it now as well.”Bella told her.

“Why would I have it?”Rosalie asked.

Bella leaned forward and softly kissed Rosalie.”Because you my dear are the Fae Queen and royalty is always protected.”

“I still can’t wrap my head around that either.”Rosalie didn’t feel like she was worthy of being called a queen.

“You’ll get used to it.”Bella knew it would take a while but Rosalie would eventually come to terms with her new title.

“I don’t know about that.”Rosalie grumbled.

Bella smiled and leaned in for another kiss.”Are you tired yet?”

“Actually I think I just got my second wind.”Rosalie told her as she pushed Bella onto her back and laid on top of her.

“I like where this is going.”Bella happily kissed Rosalie back.

“Good.”Rosalie said as she moved to take Bella’s shirt off.They had had a long day and the next few were going to be even longer so Rosalie wanted to take some time to finally enjoy each other.She and Bella still had many things to discuss like what the future of Rosalie’s family was going to be and when did Bella need to go back on tour but Rosalie would worry about that later.Right now she was getting her wish of getting Bella naked and nothing was going to come between her and a night of passion with her mate.
