“When is she going to wake up?It’s been four days.”Kate said as she along with the rest of the Denali, the three queens and Rosalie and Victoria stood vigil over Bella.The girl’s body was obviously changing.All of her hair had turned a translucent white color that shined almost like silver when hit with light.Her skin was paler and the freckles on her cheeks had disappeared.Overall Bella looked exactly like a vampire but the problem was she hadn’t woken up yet.

“I don’t know but we can’t panic.”Tanya repeated the mantra that she had been saying over and over again for the last four days.

“Well when are we allowed to panic?Vampires take three days to turn and her heart is still beating after four days.”Kate began pacing back and forth as she ran her hand through her hair in frustration.

“We did everything right.Now we just have wait until Bella is ready to wake up.”Athenodora was worried as well but was trying to be strong for everyone in the room.

“I wish that would happen soon.”Didyme said.She had had to excuse herself numerous times to get control of her emotions so that no one would see her breaking down. The queen wasn’t sure what was wrong but feared Bella may never wake up.

Sulpicia put her hand on Didyme’s shoulder for comfort.“We all do love.”

“Maybe I took to much blood.”Rosalie whispered in anguish.She was feeling beyond guilty for losing her composure when she bit Bella and was positive it was her fault that Bella hadn’t woken yet.

“No, Rosalie this isn’t your fault.You didn’t take to much blood.”Victoria told her.

“How can you be sure?”Rosalie asked.

Victoria could almost feel her heart break at the look of despair on Rosalie’s face.Standing from her spot next to Bella she rushed to Rosalie and pulled her into a tight hug.”You did nothing wrong.Bella wouldn’t want you to blame yourself for anything.I know for a fact when she does wake up she will be pissed that we all sat around doubting ourselves over her.”

“I haven’t known Bella long but I have to agree with Victoria.When Bella wakes up and finds out that all we did was focus on her and not other important things then she will be very upset.”Irina said.

“What’s more important than Bella?”Sulpicia sternly asked.

Athenodora put her arm around Sulpicia to stop her from advancing on Irina.“My love, you need to calm down.Irina was simply saying that Bella would be upset if we ignored the rest of the world and focused just on her.”

“True Bella would hate for us to fuss over her.”Carmen said.

“As her mothers it is only natural for us to fuss over her.”Didyme didn’t appreciate Carmen even being in the room with Bella as it was obvious the woman felt like she had some kind of motherly role in Bella’s life.

“Of course it is.”Eleazar said before Carmen could reply.He knew his mate was upset that the queens were asserting their bond with Bella over everyone when Carmen had just begun making breakthroughs in forming a relationship with Bella. He hoped Carmen would be able to hold herself back from starting any fights because Eleazar was sure it wouldn’t end well for anyone unless Bella was awake and could interfere.

“Irina does have a good point though.We should be discussing what is going on with Carlisle.”The group had been ignoring the outside world ever since Bella had been bitten but Athenodora knew they needed to refocus on the problems they had outside the villa.

“What updates have you gotten?”Tanya asked.This was the first time she had even thought about the other coven leader since Bella had begun the change.She was so focused on her newborn that she forget they were actually in danger.

“Well after everything was said and done we captured 8 of Carlisle’s allies.Of them only one of them was gifted that being the original one we caught.”Sulpicia told them.

Victoria released Rosalie from the hug and held her hand as both women sat next to their mate.“How were they able to get 8 of them?”

“As we were told a few days ago whatever Bella had done to the first one we caught caused him to talk about everything. The man not only told them everything he knew about what Carlisle was up to but he even told them a history of his own life.The guards actually would have caught more than just the 8 but by the time they sorted through everything that was said most of Carlisle’s allies weren’t there anymore.”Athenodora had been beyond impressed with the way Bella’s gift effected the vampire and was looking forward to seeing what else Bella was capable of.

“Jesus.I didn’t think he was hurt that bad.”Irina said.

“I told you that Bella’s gift is no joke.I want to claim that I would be brave and loyal if someone with Bella’s gift caught me but I would give every single person in this room up hoping for a quick death if it stopped Bella from using her gift on me for even a few seconds.”Kate told them.

“I have to agree with Kate.Bella only used her gift on me for maybe three seconds and I can honestly say that to prevent it from happening again I would do anything I could.Even if it meant I would have to turn on everyone.I would honestly kill myself if I was ever in a position of getting caught by someone like Bella.”Eleazar wasn’t kidding either.He knew if he was ever tortured with Bella’s gift he would probably give up his own mate.”I’m just glad it won’t come to that.”

“We are all grateful that Bella is on our side.”Sulpicia was happy that not only she found herself a daughter in Bella but hopefully an ally that the Volturi could call on in the future if their rule was threatened.

“So what do you think Carlisle is going to do now?”Tanya asked.

“From the information we got from all those captured he doesn’t know where Bella and her mates have gone.It seems like he was relying on the sentries around your estate to keep him informed but as soon as we started rounding up members they abandoned their posts.They were using the gifted vampire to get the bulk of the information because he was supposed to be able to sneak on the property without being seen.He of course was captured and no information was collected.”Athenodora told them.

“Did they not stake out the airport?”Victoria would figure that was one of the main places for Carlisle to put his people.

Sulpicia shook her head.”They had so much confidence in the gifted vampire that they didn’t even consider he would fail so they didn’t even bother having a backup plan.”

“That would make sense because they thought Bella’s gift was only a mental shield.I’m still surprised that they sent a vampire with a mental gift though.It would be smarter to use one with a physical one.”Eleazar said.

“Our enemy isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed.He let his whole coven leave a powerful gifted human alone at the mercy of a vampire whom they thought they had killed the mate of.”Kate was surprised Carlisle even knew how to walk and talk at the same time the man was so stupid.

“Thank goodness we did.”Rosalie smiled when she felt Victoria squeeze her hand.It was nice having the support of someone just as close to Bella as she was.

“We still don’t know what his next move is.”Tanya said.

“Well I assume he knows that you all have made contact with us.”Seeing the confused expressions Athenodora explained.”Carlisle has wanted to overthrow us since we killed the kings.He is not the only vampire that is unhappy with us as the leaders of our race.Some of the guard, a few we actually know of, are spies for some of our enemies.It’s only logical that Carlisle would have some of his own people embedded in the castle.”

“If you know they are spies why do you keep them around?Shouldn’t you just kill them?”Irina asked.

“It’s a chance to spread whatever information we want to our enemies.If one of them gets to bold we will just kill them.”Sulpicia told them.

Victoria perked up when she saw Bella take a large breath and exhale.”Everyone quiet.”

Kate rushed to Bella’s side.“What is it?”

“Shh.”Rosalie hushed her. It was when the room was completely silent that they all heard it.Bella’s heart was pounding frantically. The sound seemed to go on for hours when suddenly it stopped completely. Rosalie held her breath as she waited for Bella to open her eyes.

“Bella are you alright?”Victoria asked as Bella still hadn’t opened her eyes or even moved a muscle.

Rosalie leaned over to get a better view of Bella’s face when suddenly she found herself flat on her back with Bella’s lips pressed against her own.It was as she felt her shirt being torn off that she broke the kiss and smiled.”Bella calm down.”

“Bella sweetheart take a minute to breath.”Victoria said as she approached Bella slowly. She moved to grab the newborn to hold her back from destroying Rosalie’s clothes and embarrassing both of them only to find herself with Bella on top of her instead.

“Oh my god this is so great.”Kate laughed watching as Rosalie and Victoria tried to wrangle the horny newborn.

“Should we help them?”Irina asked.

“We got her.”Rosalie said as she struggled to keep Bella’s arm at her side while holding her shirt closed.

Sulpicia put her arm around Athenodora.“She reminds me of how you were when we finally broke the false bond.”

“I wasn’t that bad.”Athenodora smiled at the memory.

“Bella you need to focus.”Victoria said as she held Bella’s hand preventing it from ripping more of her pants away from her body.

“Man I thought we were going to have problems with her thirst for blood not her thirst for her mates.”Kate joked.

“Bella come back to us.”Rosalie turned Bella’s face so she could look her in the eye and when she did her breath caught in her throat.Bella’s eyes had changed.Now instead of the black pupil and black ring around the white iris, Bella’s eyes had a red pupil and red ring around a metallic silver iris.If Rosalie didn’t know that they were natural she would have thought Bella had fake eye balls.

“I think she’s calming down.”Victoria said as she felt Bella’s body lose some of it’s tension.

“That’s it Bella.Come back to me.”Rosalie coaxed.

“Rose?”Bella whispered.

“Yeah that’s right.I’m here.”Rosalie told her.

Bella smiled brightly and pulled Rosalie into a tight hug.”You’re so beautiful.”

“Bella to tight.”Rosalie choked out.

Bella pulled back quickly and slammed into Victoria who was right beside her causing them both to tumble to the floor.”Shit, sorry.”

“It’s alright.”Victoria chuckled at the surprised look on Bella’s face.”You are just a little bit stronger than us right now so you need to be more careful.”

“I’ll try.”Bella stood from the ground and helped Victoria up with her.”God how is that I love you and Rose more than I already did?”

“Aww.She’s so cute.”Didyme gushed.

Finally realizing there were other people in the room Bella turned to take in the faces one by one.When she saw Tanya she paused as she tried to figure out exactly what was different with the coven leader.”Is it the sire bond I’m feeling when I look at you?”

“It is.I feel it as well.”It was actually taking Tanya a lot of effort not to go to the newborn and take her in her arms to make sure she was alright.Tanya didn’t because she knew she wasn’t the only one who felt that way.

“You look magnificent darling.”Sulpicia said as she held out her arms for Bella.

Bella took a few seconds to fall into the bond with the queen but once it snapped into place she rushed into Sulpicia’s arms.”Thank you.”

“Don’t hog her Cia.We all want a chance to show her our love.”Didyme said pulling Sulpicia out of the hug and wrapping her arms around the newborn.”I am so happy you are alright.”

“Was there any doubt?”Bella asked.

“You have been out for four days.You had us worried.”Athenodora told her.

Bella pulled out of the hug with Didyme and hugged Athenodora next.”I’m sorry you all had to go through that.”

“Of course you would apologize for something completely out of your control.”Victoria grumbled.

“Bella are you thirsty?”Kate asked hoping Bella would want to go hunting.She was actually surprised the newborn hadn’t already taken off to find blood.

“I guess I have a little tickle in my throat but nothing to bad.”Bella felt a small burn in her throat but it was easy to ignore.

“So you don’t feel the need to hunt?”Tanya asked.

Bella shrugged.”I mean it would be nice but I could wait until everyone is ready to go.”

“Amazing.”Eleazar said.He had already began documenting Bella’s human life and abilities and would add this to the growing notebook of discoveries.

“How about we get you some blood anyway.We have blood bags or would you rather have animal blood?”Rosalie hoped Bella would want animal but wasn’t going to push her into it.

“I think blood bags are fine for now.”Bella didn’t really have an opinion on what she would feed on.”I’ll try animal later to see what it’s like but I don’t mind drinking human blood.”

“That’s good to hear.”Tanya was happy it seemed that Bella was at least open to learning their way of feeding.

“Until then let’s get you some blood.”Victoria took Bella’s hand in her own and led her to the kitchen.She was happy that Bella was finally awake.The fact that Bella was alright with drinking human blood was a good sign that Victoria’s fantasy of going hunting with her mate would happen.That would have to wait though.Not only were they still dealing with Carlisle but Victoria now had a newborn mate who had unlimited amounts of stamina.Victoria didn’t care who was around them she and Rosalie were going to spend some time alone with Bella and finally have a chance to go all out with their much sturdier mate.
