“Are you nervous?”Rosalie asked Bella as she watched her mate change into comfortable clothing. Bella had eaten more food than Rosalie thought possible and now they were getting ready for Bella to be turned. Rosalie was having a hard time controlling her nerves. Worse case scenarios kept running through her mind and Rosalie was very close to just kidnapping Bella and making a run for it to keep her safe from anything bad happening. The only thing truly holding her back was the fact that every vampire in the house would fight her if she tried and she didn’t have a chance of defeating even one of them one on one.

“No not really.” Bella was being truthful. She knew that she should probably be nervous but she trusted the others enough to know that they would do everything in their power to keep her safe.”Why, are you?”

“Beyond nervous.”Rosalie admitted.

Bella made her way over to Rosalie and pulled her into a hug.”It will all be alright.There is enough experience between everyone here that I doubt it would go wrong even if someone screwed up.”

“I know, it’s just I’ve never personally been involved with turning someone before.What if I do something wrong?”That was Rosalie’s true fear.That because of her Bella would be put through something horrific.

“Victoria hasn’t either and she isn’t worried.Plus the queens will be watching everything like a hawk. I doubt they would hold back from interfering if they felt something wasn’t right.”Bella would bet that even if things went according to plan the queens would interfere.

“That’s true.”Rosalie had seen the way the queens had treated Bella and knew they would put their lives on the line to keep their daughter safe.

“Then there is nothing to worry about.”Bella gave Rosalie a soft kiss before breaking the hug and holding out her hand.”Come on let’s get this over with.The sooner it is done the sooner you can relax.”

Rosalie took Bella’s hand in her own.”You’re right.The sooner we get started the sooner it will be over.”

“Are you ready?”Victoria asked when Rosalie and Bella made their way into Athenodora’s personal quarters.

“Yup.What should I do?”Bella asked.

“Just lay down on the couch and we will do the rest.”Athenodora told her.

Bella laid down on the couch and wiggled around until she got comfortable.”Where are the four of you going to bite me?”

“Myself and the queen will be biting your wrists and Victoria and Rosalie will first bite your neck on either side then will bite you over the heart.”Tanya explained.

“I want to apologize before hand for all the pain you are about to go through.”Victoria wished she could experience the pain for Bella but that wasn’t going to be possible.

“It’s fine.I will only have to go through it once.”Bella said trying to reassure the obvious nervous Victoria.

“Alright let’s do this.”Tanya picked up Bella’s wrist and waited until everyone was set.”On three, one, two, three.”

At first Bella felt nothing except for the sting of the four vampire’s teeth cutting through her skin.She was about to open her mouth to tell everyone it didn’t hurt that bad when the fire started running through her veins.She held her jaw closed knowing that if she opened it even a little bit she wouldn’t be able to hold back the screams of agony.Not wanting to put either of her mates or the rest of the vampires that she had come to think of as family through the heartbreak of hearing her she clenched her jaw harder focusing the sliver of clarity her mind still held on to to keep it closed.

“Rosalie that’s enough.”Victoria said putting her arm around Rosalie to pull her back.

Rosalie growled at the red head. She didn’t want to stop now that she got a taste of what human blood tasted like.When not only Victoria but Kate as well as Athenodora grabbed her she fought for a moment more until she was held to the ground.”Let go of me.”

“Can’t do that.If we did you would most likely kill Bella.”Kate wasn’t going to let Rosalie hurt her sister.If she had to keep Rosalie restrained for the next three days to keep Bella safe she was more than willing to do it.

“Bella.”Rosalie felt ashamed as she realized what she was doing.Bella’s blood had tasted better than she had imagined it would.As the first drop touched her tongue she was lost in a wave of euphoria.It was so overpowering that she forgot that it was her mate that was being drained not some regular human.”I’m sorry.”

“It’s alright.This is your first experience with human blood.You did better than I thought you would.”Sulpicia had expected Rosalie to fight harder to keep drinking.Never had the vampire tasted human blood in over a century and the queen was actually surprised that Rosalie didn’t become overwhelmed with blood lust.

“Still I should have been more careful.”Rosalie turned her attention to Victoria.”You will have to bite over her heart by yourself.I don’t want to chance it.”

“I can do that.”Victoria had been just as effected as Rosalie was with the taste of Bella’s blood but she had more control of her mind and the fact that it was her mate made it easier to stop. She had wondered if Bella’s blood would taste different because they were mated and confirmed it was true.Bella’s blood was almost drug like.It didn’t so much have a taste more of a feeling.It felt like she was basking in the sun feeling the rays heating her skin with not a care in the world. The peace that washed over her was something she had never experienced drinking human blood before and she doubted she ever would again.

“She is being awfully quiet.”Irina said.

“I would have thought she would be screaming by now.”Didyme agreed.

“Did we do something wrong?”Rosalie knew it. She had messed this up somehow.Rosalie would never figure herself for this.

Tanya placed a hand on Rosalie’s shoulder.”Don’t go down that road.We did everything right.”

“Some humans have been known to go through the change with out making a sound.”Eleazar told them.

“We all know our daughter is special.Over the course of the turning I have no doubts that she is going to surprise us.”Athenodora had been around Bella enough to expect the unexpected when it came to the girl.

“That’s true.I mean how many humans can do even a tenth of what Bella can do?”Sulpicia was proud that Bella wasn’t making a sound.It just showed how strong and brave Bella was.

“So now what do we do?”Kate asked.

“Now we continue to keep Bella safe until she is awake and we can move her.”Athenodora hoped that meant that they would be taking Bella to the castle but from the look on Victoria’s face that wasn’t likely.

“We need to decide where to take her once she wakes up.”Rosalie said.

“I say we take her back to Alaska.I mean now that she is going to be a vampire Carlisle doesn’t stand a chance of capturing her.”Kate figured that was the best idea.Then the family could go back to their lives and be as far away from the royals as possible.

“She will be coming to the castle.”Didyme didn’t understand why anyone thought otherwise.

“Wait just a second.Bella is not going to the castle.”Victoria wasn’t going to let the queens dictate where Bella and them lived.

“Why wouldn’t she?”Sulpicia thought that was the plan the whole time.”She’s a princess she will have royal duties to attend to.”

“My love.”Athenodora began only to be cut off by Didyme.

“We need to get the rooms closest to ours remodeled of course but she can use the ones in the guest wings for now.”Didyme had already began planning the remodel.She started as soon as they got off the phone the day they found out about Bella.

“Whoah pump the breaks.”Kate ignored the warning look from Tanya.She knew that she was speaking to the queens but Kate wasn’t going to let anyone take Bella away from them.”Bella should get to decided where she wants to live.”

“It isn’t safe for her outside of the castle. Not only because of her gift but once our familiar bond is discovered Bella will be a target for our enemies.”Sulpicia said.

“I think in the end Bella and her mates will make the decisions.”Athenodora had warned her mates not to make demands and was upset they didn’t listen to her.She would have to pull them aside again to reiterate that if they tried to force Bella to do something it would push the girl away.

Noticing they had the attention of the room Rosalie cleared her throat.She was the mouth piece she reminded herself.It was up to her to make the others aware of their decisions.”We haven’t discussed exactly where we would like to go once Bella is awake.We also haven’t ruled out either going back to Alaska or moving into the castle.It will likely depend on how Bella reacts once she is awake.”

“That’s true depending on how Bella reacts to the change they may have no other choice than to move to the castle until Bella gets her newborn urges under control.”Eleazar knew his mate would prefer Bella to go to Alaska but Bella might not be safe enough to let out into the world so quickly after she woke.

“It will also depend on whether Bella wants to live off of animals or humans.”Bella hadn’t actually voiced her preference but Rosalie knew that she wasn’t totally against drinking from humans.

“Humans of course.”Sulpicia wouldn’t have any child of hers lowering themselves to drinking from animals.

“She hasn’t said.”Kate was still hoping Bella would drink from animals so she could teach Bella how to hunt.

“Who knows maybe she will do a mixture of both.”Victoria didn’t care what Bella drank from.She just wanted a chance to hunt some humans with her mate.The idea of Bella and her drinking together after they stalked and killed their prey was arousing.Victoria would be beyond disappointed if she didn’t get a chance to fulfill that fantasy.

“Is her hair changing color?”Irina asked.

Rosalie rushed to Bella’s side and watched as more strands of her hair turned white.”Do you think all of her hair is going to change that color?”

“Oh man she is going to look so freaky if it does!!”Kate exclaimed in excitement.

“Bella will not look freaky. She will look beautiful no matter what color her hair is.”This was the second time Kate had called Bella’s looks freaky and Didyme didn’t like it. If it weren’t for the fact that everyone was trying to keep the peace for Bella the queen would have already thrown Kate in the dungeon to await punishment for such disrespect of the Volturi princess.

“Kate why don’t you go check in with the guards to see if they need any help.”Tanya wanted to get Kate out of the room because it was obvious she was on thin ice with Didyme. The last thing any of them needed was the queen to get pissed off.

“Good idea.”Kate didn’t trust the guard members to actually keep Bella safe.

“I guess the rest of us will just wait for Bella to wake up and continue to keep her safe.”Athenodora herself would check in with the guards as well but later.Now she wanted to stand guard over her daughter in case something went wrong.Not that the queen doubted her and the others abilities of turning Bella correctly, it was because it was her daughter who was the one being turned.Athenodora figured it was just a part of being a parent. Always worrying about your child.That was one of the many reasons she wanted Bella to live in the castle.If Bella was somewhere else Athenodora wouldn’t be able to protect her from harm.Holding back a sigh at the thought of the fight to come over where Bella lived she knew that she had to speak to her mates before they ruined any chance they had to get Bella into the castle.Demands and force weren’t going to get them their way this time so they would have to work out a different strategy to get their way. As three strong willed women being diplomatic would be a challenge but they would make it work for Bella.
