“So what exactly are you going to do?”Veronica asked as Emmett lay on their bed.He had volunteered to be the first one of them to be changed back into a human and Veronica wouldn’t say she wasn’t worried. Bella had assured them that everything would work out fine and Rosalie was more than enough proof they would be safe but Emmett was her mate and that made her extra protective.

“First I’m going to put Emmett to sleep.So please say your goodbyes.”Noticing Veronica flinch at her wording Bella amended her statement.”I didn’t mean it like this was the last time you would see each other.”

“I know.”Veronica said.

“It will be fine babe just you wait and see.”Emmett wasn’t worried.Rosalie had already gone through this and no matter how unhappy Bella was about them taking Rosalie away from her he knew she wouldn’t harm them.Rosalie wouldn’t let her.

Veronica kissed Emmett with a little more passion than she normally would when in front of others.“I guess I will see you when you wake up.”

“I will see you soon.”Emmett looked to Bella.”Now what?”

“Now I want you to relax while I put you to sleep.You will start to feel warm but try not to panic.It’s supposed to feel that way.”Bella told him.When Emmett nodded Bella placed her hands on his chest and concentrated.

“Is she supposed to glow like that?”Veronica asked Rosalie as they watched Bella begin to glow with a red light.

Rosalie shrugged.”I was passed out at the time.”

“She said that because the healing is so intense that her magic glows red.It usually doesn’t turn that color.”Sebastian explained.

“It’s beautiful.”One of the fae guards murmured in awe from her spot against the wall standing with six others.

Rosalie had been surprised when Bella allowed them in the room but as Bella didn’t think it would distract her from her task Rosalie hadn’t objected.”It weird to see it from this point of view.”

“Come closer and listen.”Bella waved them over.

Veronica gasped followed by the others in the room when she heard the soft beating of Emmett’s heart.”Oh my god.”

“You need to get the heating pads ready.His temperature is going to drop very soon.”Bella told them.

“On it.”Sebastian grabbed the heating pads and started placing them on Emmett’s limbs.

“Now what do we do?”Veronica asked.

“We try to keep him warm while I finish the process.”Bella said as she focused her magic on Emmett’s body.

The room was silent for the duration of the healing and Veronica had felt the need to pace every so often as she waited for her mate to wake up.The changes had become obvious as the time passed and she was somewhat awed with the way Emmett’s body seemed even more life like than it had before. She wasn’t sure what she expected to happen but it wasn’t the softened skin or being able to feel Emmett’s pulse.

“He should be waking up soon.”Bella had felt the tension coming from the people in the room and was happy when Emmett finally started stirring. She didn’t doubt that everything would work out but she knew that the others weren’t as confident.

Veronica rushed to Emmett’s side and when her mate opened his eyes she gasped at the blue looking back at her.”You have blue eyes.”

“Ugh.”Emmett groaned.

“How do you feel?”Veronica asked in concern.

”I feel like I’ve been hit by a bus.”Emmett said.

“That’s understandable.Your body has made a drastic change and it will be a couple of days before you feel normal again.”Bella explained.

Veronica ran her hand through Emmett’s sweaty hair.“What can I do to make you feel better?”

“I don’t know.”Emmett was still trying to get used to the feeling of his new human body.

“I recommend a shower and then some food.Food and sleep are the best ways to get your strength back.”Bella told them.

“I’ll help you in the shower.”Veronica could tell Emmett didn’t have the strength to stand let alone shower by himself.

Emmett tried to move his body but it didn’t really want to cooperate with him.When Veronica moved to help him stand he gave her a kiss marveling at the feel of her cold lips.“Thanks babe.”

“Sebastian can you please make some food for Emmett? I know that Veronica won’t want to go through the change while Emmett is feeling unwell so I’ll move on to Alice and come back to deal with her once I’m finished.”Bella figured it would give Veronica a chance to make sure Emmett was alright and calm her vampire side enough to leave him unprotected while she went through the change herself.

“Of course mom.”Sebastian didn’t mind helping out Rosalie’s siblings.He had had a good time going shopping with Emmett and Veronica and had found he and Emmett had a lot of things in common.Sebastian could easily see them being friends and couldn’t wait until Emmett felt better so he could show him all the fun stuff he could do as a human.

“Are you ok to change another person so soon?”Rosalie asked.

”The changing itself doesn’t put a strain on my magic.It’s just the intricacies of the actual healing that make it so important to concentrate.”Bella explained.

“That makes sense.”Rosalie said as they made their way into the hallway where they were met with the sight of Carlisle being manhandled by Jasper while Alice was looking on in disappointment. “What the hell is going on?”

Carlisle made a move for Rosalie but stepped back when she was suddenly surrounded by guards.“Rosalie I demand that you wake Edward up right this instant.”

“You are throwing a tantrum because you want Edward woken up?”Rosalie wanted to say she couldn’t believe Carlisle was so petty but he loved his first son more than any of them.

“I am not throwing a tantrum. Edward needs to be woken up so we can be turned human as well.It’s not right that the others were offered and not us.”Carlisle had initially felt that Edward had been somewhat rude to his sister’s mate but now that it seemed that Bella had no intention of changing not only Edward but himself and Esme he felt Edward was in the right to be so forceful.

“Why would we offer you the chance?”Rosalie asked.

“I am your sire and I run this coven.It is up to me to decide whether any of you are allowed to be changed.I will only let the rest of you be changed after Edward, myself and Esme are changed and not before us.”Carlisle said.

Rosalie laughed at the man’s audacity.”You actually believe that you are in charge don’t you?”

“I am in charge!!”Carlisle screamed.”You will wake your brother up right this instance or there will be repercussions.”

“I personally would like to know about these repercussions.”Bella wanted to know what Carlisle thought he would be able to do to stop her.

“I will force you to take your guards and leave this house.”Carlisle told her.

“How are you going to do that?”Rosalie asked.

“I will remind you once again that I am the coven leader.This is my house and I make the rules.If I tell you to leave then you are to leave!!”Carlisle screeched as Jasper tightened his hold on the man keeping him from going after Rosalie.

Bella turned her attention to Rosalie.”Sweetheart would you like to abide by Carlisle’s demands and leave?”

“No, I don’t think so.”Rosalie smirked at Carlisle’s struggling.The fact that he thought he could demand anything was humorous.Even without Bella and her guards Jasper and Veronica were more than enough to not only handle Carlisle but Edward as well.

“Then what would you like to do?”This was Rosalie’s family and Bella wasn’t going to overstep her bounds and make decisions without Rosalie’s approval.

“I say we put him to sleep and wake him when we are done.”Alice said. She was excited to become human now that Emmett had gone through the change and they knew it was safe. Carlisle was annoying and she didn’t want to deal with him anymore.It was just like him and Edward to want to ruin anything good for the family like they always did.

“You know Alice I think that is a wonderful idea.”Rosalie turned her attention to Bella.”Would you be willing to put him to sleep babe?”

“Of course, anything for my queen.”Bella motioned to Carlisle as she spoke to her guards.”Would one of you please deal with him?”

Rosalie wasn’t surprised when more than one of the guards moved to take care of Carlisle.She figured they would take any chance they could get to dole out pain to the vampire.

“You can’t do this. I won’t let you get away….”Was all Carlisle got out before he succumb to the magic and feel limp in Jasper’s arms.

“I’ll put him next to Edward and then I’ll meet you in our room.”Jasper took Carlisle’s body and not so gently tossed him over his shoulder.He had little love for the coven leader and was greatly pleased that he wouldn’t have to listen to him or Edward for the time being.If he was lucky they would leave him like that for a while and they wouldn’t have to deal with him at all for a few days.Now he had more important things to worry about however. It was Alice’s turn to be changed and he was somewhat worried about the process.Rosalie and he assumed Emmett had gone through it just fine but it was his mate that was involved this time.Jasper found that he trusted Bella but would watch her like a hawk while she was with Alice.There was nothing he wouldn’t do to keep Alice safe and if he had to go up against a messiah to do so he wouldn’t hesitate.He just hoped it wouldn’t come to that.
