"It should only be a couple hours more until we get there."Rosalie told Bella. After grabbing breakfast to go the pair set off in Bella's truck while Victoria drove her car following, the sun shining brightly.Rosalie was thankful for the fact that Edward had insisted she install tint on the truck's window. He probably didn't think that Rosalie was the one who was going to benefit from it though. Especially since Rosalie was driving Bella to keep her safe from him. It made her smile to think about how angry he was going to be when he found out Bella was out of his reach.

"What?" Bella asked.

Rosalie shot a glance at Bella. The girl had been somewhat distracted all morning but Rosalie had thought she was just tired. Now she wasn't sure. "I said we should be there in a couple hours."

"That's great." Bella said. She was feeling a little shy after the night before. Bella didn't really know how to act after waking up half naked in bed with Rosalie and Victoria on either side of her.

"Are you ok?" Rosalie was starting to get worried. Had they pushed Bella to far the night before? Was she now regretting what they had done?

Bella nodded her head. "Yeah I'm fine."

"Bella." Rosalie reached for Bella's hand feeling relieved that Bella took it without hesitation. "I can tell something is bothering you. Please tell me. Are you regretting last night?"

"No, of course not. I just feel really bad that I was the only one who got the attention. I mean I didn't even touch either of you." Bella admitted.

Rosalie smiled. "Neither myself or Victoria were left unsatisfied I promise. Both of us wanted to make you feel good. You did feel good right?"

Bella could feel her cheeks starting to warm. "I enjoyed myself very much."

"Then there is no need to worry. If you want we can call Victoria right now and she will tell you the same thing." Rosalie was feeling better now that she understood Bella's concerns. She found it adorable that Bella was worried about her and Victoria. Rosalie personally couldn't have been happier with how their first step into a sexual relationship went. She wasn't sure if she could have handled anything more.

"So what have you all been up to since you left Forks?"Bella asked wanting to change the subject from anything sexual.

"Well the family has kind of split up." Rosalie told her. "Edward is being all doom and gloom and has been in South America recovering from losing his one true love as he likes to claim. He is being his overdramatic self of course. I know he had always planned on coming back to you. I think he figured he needed a break from you so he could get control over his blood lust after the incident with James. What happened at your birthday party was just the catalyst for him to leave for a while. I think he also is trying to figure out how to get Carlisle not to change you."

"Why wouldn't he want Carlisle to change me?" Bella was confused. "If what you said about collecting gifted vampires is true I would think they wanted me to be one right away."

"It all comes down to your blood. Once you are a vampire he wouldn't have access to your blood anymore." Rosalie explained.

"That's so creepy to think that there is someone in the world who is obsessed with my blood." Bella shivered at the thought. "What about the mate bond? How does that work once I'm a vampire?"

"The fact that you not only have a bond with me but Victoria as well changes everything they planned for you. If I was the only mate you had and Carlisle was your sire then he could order you to ignore the bond. The sire bond may not be romantic but it is more powerful than the mate bond because of the venom that was used to turn you. With you having two mates you couldn't be forced to ignore both bonds. All it would take was for me and Victoria to come together and we could over power the sire bond." Rosalie scowled thinking about Carlisle changing Bella. She would do anything to keep it from happening. Luckily Rosalie knew Victoria felt the same way and she had allies to back them up if the Denali didn't come through for them. Not that she expected the sisters to turn their backs on them.

"At least we know that if something happens you and Victoria would be able to save me." Bella wasn't a fool. She knew they were going to be involved in a fight once the Cullens found out about her. She would feel better once they got to Alaska and could make a plan. The three of them had talked about what would happen when she was turned but they hadn't talked about exactly when she would be. Bella honestly wasn't sure how she felt about it. She had assumed when she was with Edward that she wouldn't become a vampire. Now though she didn't see any other option. Not only to keep herself safe but to help keep her mates safe. Rosalie especially because she didn't have any kind of gift and Carlisle had control over her. Enough control that made her ignore the mate bond between them.

"Nothing is going to happen to you,no matter what happens Victoria and I will protect you with everything we have." Rosalie promised.

"I believe you." Bella reassured her. "What I don't get is Alice's role in all this. We were like best friends and she was the one who explained the mate bond. When I had my doubts she was always there telling me that it was just the way humans felt the bond. Never did I question it because I trusted Alice to never lie to me."

"To be honest I don't get Alice either. She has always followed along with Carlisle and Edward. The thing that doesn't make sense the most though is that I believe she genuinely likes you. She has been depressed since we left and had fought to stay in Forks. She didn't want to leave." Rosalie had been beyond surprised with Alice's behavior when it was announced that they were leaving Bella. It was the first time that she had seen Alice go against Carlisle.

"I liked her as well. I really did think of her as a best friend. That's why I was convinced that Edward was my mate. I told Alice many times that I didn't think I was and even confided in her that I had a crush on you. She told me it was natural because that's what everyone felt when they were around you. She claimed that it was part of your gift. It came with how beautiful you are." Bella told her.

"Of course because nobody could like me for more than my looks." Rosalie scoffed. "From our many interactions I feel like Alice was jealous of me. She has been the one to always tell Carlisle about what I'm doing especially when I do something he wouldn't approve of. I just don't understand why though. I'm not a threat to her. We don't have anything to compete about. It's just since she joined the family she has done everything she can to make me look bad. I would be surprised if they haven't tried to find me already. I turned off my phone so they couldn't track me but that wouldn't stop them from having Alice check in to see where I was and what I am doing."

"Do you think they will be in Alaska when we get there?" Bella asked. She wasn't quite ready to deal with the headache that was the Cullens just yet. It would be nice to have a couple stress free days to be with her mates but she knew that was to much to ask for. They had way to much going on to be able to have free time.

"I want to say no but I honestly don't know. We made the decision a couple days ago so that would be enough for Alice to possibly get a vision but her visions aren't as reliable as she likes to tell people. Enough about them though. Let's talk about you. What have you been up to since we left?" Rosalie asked. She figured that they would be spending a lot of time dealing with the Cullens very soon and wanted a chance to learn more about her mate.

"Not anything really fun. When you guys left it kind of sucked for about a week. I was mostly confused because I didn't miss Edward. I was relieved to not have to deal with him anymore. That's what was sucky. Here I had been told that Edward was supposed to be my forever and I couldn't care less he was gone." Bella chuckled. "I bet it would have pissed him off to find out that I missed you more than anyone else."

Rosalie chuckled along with her. "Yeah he definitely would have been upset that you weren't crying and depressed without him. Did you really miss me?"

Bella leaned over and kissed Rosalie's cheek. "I did miss you. I didn't know you as person then but I missed the fact that I didn't get to have a chance to have at least a friendship with you. Like I told you, I had what I thought was a crush on you but Alice had me convinced that it was natural. I wanted to be with you more than Edward but I didn't think you would want me. Then there was the whole mate bond they were trying to sell me on. I kind of think I was in the head space of knowing they were lying to me but just went along with it because I couldn't figure out what they would gain from it. I mean if I wasn't why would Edward want to be with someone who wasn't his true mate? I didn't think anyone would sacrifice having the chance at true love for some human even if their blood was tasty."

"I think when it comes down to it Carlisle would have allowed me to act on the mate bond if it wasn't for Edward. I have said it many times Edward is Carlisle's most prized possession. I went to Carlisle first to tell him of the bond but when Edward claimed you to be his mate Carlisle forbid me from acting on it. You being Edward's singer has him believing that you are his mate. He once said that you were the ultimate test from god. Having a mate that could block his gift with blood that tempted him so much was his way of proving himself worthy of heaven by not killing you. He liked to brag about how superior his restraint was. Poor Emmett got the worst of his comments." Rosalie told her.

"What happened to Emmett?" Bella undid her seatbelt and scooted over so that she could lay her head on Rosalie's shoulder. She knew if there was an accident Rosalie would protect her.

Rosalie sighed as she felt the guilt related to Emmett once again. "I was the reason Emmett was turned. I found him while hunting. He had been mauled by a bear and I felt so bad for him. Something inside of me wanted to save him. I had only been a vampire for a few years and life hadn't been that horrible yet so I thought it would be ok for Emmett. I brought him to Carlisle who changed him. Emmett was born to be a vampire he likes to say. Unfortunately he has been stuck in the same position as me. Carlisle forces him to stay with the family and likes to show off Emmett's strength like he's some circus performer. I have apologized many times to Emmett for how his life turned out but he has promised me he is happy to be a vampire. He was the one who encouraged me not to give up on being with you. He was there every time I felt like giving up trying to fight for us telling me that when it happened all this would have been worth it."

"I have always liked Emmett. He is like the big brother I wished I had. We didn't get to hang out as much as I would have liked but when we did I had a lot of fun." Bella did like Emmett. He was a stand up guy and always made her smile. His presence at the Cullen home was what made the visits bearable. "What is Esme really like?"

Rosalie put her arm around Bella and pulled her close to her body. She liked the fact that she could touch Bella whenever she wanted to without worrying about punishment for acting on their bond. "Esme is complicated. Carlisle had found her in the morgue after she jumped off a cliff trying to kill herself. Her human husband was abusive and a couple years into her marriage she got pregnant. When she had her child the baby was stillborn. Esme was really depressed about it and felt like she had nothing left to live for. I often wonder if she is actually Carlisle's mate. I wouldn't put it past him to claim a false mate bond. I do know that although she follows Carlisle's lead on everything she did genuinely love you like her own child. Carlisle never let her really mother any of us. She was more of his eyes and ears when he wasn't around. With you she got to fulfill her wish to care for a child and he couldn't stop her. He wanted you to feel like a part of the family so it would be easier to convince you to be turned by him. It kind of backfired though because just like Alice she stood up against him when he demanded we move."

"I take it that Esme isn't the type to stand up against him usually?" Bella asked. Esme was nice to her and she enjoyed her company but didn't really feel like they had that close of a relationship. She wasn't around her enough to have built enough of a relationship to have her thinking of Esme as more than just her boyfriend and best friend's mom.

Rosalie shook her head. "No, not at all. That's what makes me think that Carlisle isn't her mate. I always wondered if he actually chose her because of her meekness. She was raised to believe that a wife should never question her husband and always do what she is told. That's what Carlisle thinks as well. He is of the mindset that women are property to be shown off and owned by men. That's why he changed me. He had seen my beauty and when he had the chance he took it. I think eventually he would have turned me anyway. He wanted me for Edward but Edward didn't want me. I thank god every day that he didn't. I don't know if I could have handled being with Edward. I would have tried to kill myself."

"I don't even want to think about you being with Edward." Bella nuzzled her head into Rosalie's neck kissing the place her pulse point should have been. She smiled when she felt Rosalie shiver. "As a matter of fact I don't want to think about you being with anyone other than me."

Rosalie bit back a moan as she felt Bella's tongue on her neck followed by soft lips. "I think you need to stop doing that if you want us to get to Alaska in one piece."

"Ok." Bella sighed dramatically. "I'll stop for now but no promises for when we get there and have a chance to be alone."

"Then you better rest because you are going to need a lot of energy if you plan to be alone with me. You'll need it because you know Victoria is going to want to be there as well. I'm not sure your human stamina will last that long with the both of us." Even though Rosalie was teasing she had plans to take their relationship to the next level. She just needed to talk to Victoria first. It wouldn't be fair to make decisions regarding their mate without including her.

Bella curled her legs up on the seat of the truck and laid her head on Rosalie's lap. "I think a nap would actually be a good idea. I don't know when the next time I'll be able to sleep. I have a feeling we have a lot to talk about once we get to the Denali's."

"I'll wake you when we get there." Rosalie ran her hand through Bella's hair taking a minute to enjoy the peace. Bella had a point. They did have a lot to talk about when they got there.As she felt Bella's breath even out Rosalie sighed. She wished they were going to visit her cousins to just introduce her mate and celebrate the new mate bond instead of going there for help to protect her mate. Bella didn't deserve having to deal with all this danger and drama. She was just a human who ran across the wrong people. Although Rosalie was extremely happy Bella came into their lives she wished she could offer her a peaceful existence. Thinking of the danger to come Rosalie pushed down on the gas a little harder to speed up now that Bella wasn't watching out the window. The faster they got there the faster they could deal with the threat and focus on their future.
