When Dawn Breaks chapter 35

"Bella I did good right?" Emmett asked when Bella and Rosalie returned. After putting up the surveillance equipment the pair took a longer route to get back just to make sure they weren't followed.Only when they were sure they were alone did they head for Gil's. Now safely in Gil's living room they both took off their masks and shared a kiss before turning their attention to the room. "I was very professional the whole time wasn't I?"

"Yes you were Emmett. Great job." Bella told him making her way over to the monitors.”Has anything interesting happened?"

Emmett beamed at the praise.”Nothing yet except one of the guards left."

"It looks like we have a good view of every side of the building." Rosalie said as she looked at the various points of views from the cameras.

"Did you guys find out anything while you were there?" Jasper asked.

Bella nodded. "Yes not only are shifters and vampires there but we smelled humans. What their involvement may be we don't know."

"That opens up so many more possibilities of what is happening in that building." Peter mumbled trying to think what exactly a human would be doing with shifters and vampires.

"I agree." Bella said.”That's why it's important we watch the building. As of now all we know is that they are kidnapping shifters and they have vampires guarding the gate. We can't rule out that humans are working with vampires or even that shifters aren't involved in any of this. Just because shifters are being taken it doesn't mean shifters aren't the enemy here. We need to be open to all possibilities so it's extra important to identify if whoever is seen on camera is either human, vampire or shifter."

"We really don't know what is going on in there do we." Emmett said sadly.

Bella laid her hand on his shoulder. "Now you see why Rosalie and myself have to go in alone?"

"Even if we can't help out with the rescue part of the mission is there something else we can help with?" Alice asked. She wasn't deterred by not being able to help Rosalie and Bella rescue the shifters. She knew she could be useful in other ways.

"Actually there is Alice." Rosalie told her. "Now that we have the surveillance running we need to prepare for when we actually save whoever is in that building. I want you to get together some people and go shopping for supplies needed to take care of them. That means clothing, hygiene, medical supplies stuff like that."

"Yes." Alice cheered. "I can totally do that!"

"Charolette why don't you get together a group and go food shopping. With the influx of shifters that are in Gil's town they will need to be fed. We can't expect Gil and his people to do it for free." Rosalie cut off Gil's protests. "I know you gladly would but it is the responsibility of The Great White Tiger to take care of everyone. In this instance it means she needs to buy food."

"I'll meet with Silvia and gather some others from the different groups for help planning a menu." Charolette said as she took the black card Rosalie handed her and made her way out of the room.

"Who should I meet up with?" Alice asked taking Bella's credit card. She was excited to go shopping but she really didn't have a clue what to buy for shifters. The only stuff she knew about their needs was the research she did when she first met Bella.

"Why don't you meet with Derrick and Patsy." Bella told her as she turned to Gil. "Gil would you please have one of your people meet up with Alice to help?"

"Of course White Tiger." Gil motioned for Alice to follow him outside.

"I think I'm going to go with Alice. It's not that I don't trust the shifters it's just sometimes Alice can be a little to much for people." Jasper said rushing off after his wife.

Bella grabbed Rosalie's hand and intertwined their fingers. "That was a good idea to get supplies. I was so focused on the rescue I forgot to plan for what would happen when we got them back home."

"That's why we make the perfect team." Rosalie pulled Bella into a kiss.

Bella allowed the kiss to deepen for a moment before pulling back. "I love how much your nurturing side has been coming out lately."

"What do you mean?" Rosalie asked.

"You have been so caring towards everyone since the Edward situation has been taken care of. First with the coyote shifters, then with the wolves, even the kittens, now you are thinking about how to make sure the kidnapped kids are going to be comfortable and taken care of when we rescue them." Bella told her. "It's very attractive how big your heart is."

Rosalie thought about what Bella was saying. Ever since Edward had been killed she had felt lighter, happier. It was like she was being the person she always wanted to be but couldn't because of how harshly she was treated by him. Bella was right she did care more about others and with Bella by her side she wasn't embarrassed to show her softer side. Rosalie knew that as the Great White Tiger's imprint that she was considered the heart of the savior but she didn't realize that meant literally. If she went over everything that happened with Bella she came to the conclusion that the legend was true. Bella was the more stoic leader who demanded respect. As her imprint Rosalie was the softer one of the two. Although Rosalie was still protective over Bella she was also quick to comfort those who needed it and worry about those who were put in their path. It was proven with her continued worry about the wolves not having enough opportunities and if they would ever find a way for the coyote shifter's son to shift again.

If she didn't already believe that fate gave her Bella she would have now as she realized that fate had given her a huge gift. Being the White Tiger's imprint gave Rosalie the opportunity to fulfill her want to be a mother by bringing people into her life that needed to be taken care of. She kissed Bella again and sighed. "I'm the heart of the savior of course I'm caring."

"I wouldn't have it any other way." Bella whispered into her ear. "Why don't we go lay down and rest why everyone is out doing their errands and no one needs us right now."

"Good idea." Rosalie looked at the remaining two people in the room Peter and Emmett who were pretending they didn't hear their conversation. Rosalie appreciated that. She knew it was going to be rare for them to get any kind of privacy for a while so the fact that the two of them tried meant a lot to her. "Bella and I are going to lay down as we don't know when the next time we will get to. If anything happens let us know."

"Will do boss." Emmett saluted them as they walked out of the room.
