January 7th Weekly Update

Getting back into the swing of things, I finished up the knock back with get up animations. The characters in game (enemies and player character) can now get up from a ragdoll animation, with a smooth blend from the ragdoll state to a getting up state.

Being knocked into walls can also do damage as well, so I don't lose any functionality to how it was working before.

I've also added a simple target dummy to test some additional attack stuff in the future.
I was having a little trouble deciding what attack to make the basic default attack, so While I thought about that, I did some animations for the witch doctor. I don't think TOS will let me post those here, but I made a patron's only post earlier that shows them off.
I did also look into adding some dynamics to hair movement, but couldn't get something that works quite how I want it to yet, that'll be a work in progress!
Overall, it was a busy week, but I'm loving the motion capture stuff, and excited to keep using it!

Immersion isn't EXACTLY our ultimate goal here, but I'd be interested to see her physics if she brought her other knee up to support herself getting up. I'm just now learning about animation myself for Unity. When you say dynamic hair movement, do you mean a physics system for her hair?
