(And now I'm thinking of the Britney meme of her speaking Korean) Similarly to Britney, the voice Hani uses in EXID's pop songs is a more affected/stylistic choice. Her more "natural" voice is pretty deep and sultry.

It was made by international producers and songwriters, mostly Americans, and those people were clearly focused on the American radio/TikTok market so 🤷♀️ Their songs in Tagalog don't really suffer from this; Karera is a great example, and that is why we wanted you guys to follow the lyrics along when you reacted to it. Their Tagalog songs are just superior in every aspect. They get to express themselves better, they work with filipino producers and composers + the girls participate in the songwriting, so the lyrics are better + the sound of the Tagalog language is beautiful... it's just like when K-pop artists release a full song in English and it's corny and then you check their Korean songs and they are great. I just wish there wasn't this thing in which to make it big internationally you gotta sing in English. The whole world listens to songs in English, so the USA and other English-speaking countries need to be more open-minded about songs in other languages as well + songs with different cultural backgrounds :) that way we can appreciate the art that artists make when they are being their most authentic selves
