Glad to see the Oliver Hardy cameo in the first panel. And also a good note to see a robot salaryman in the train as well. But in all seriousness, you can't help but feel for Angela and Madeline at this point. Being so used to Emmy doing everything around the house has left them (for lack of a better term) incompetent when it comes to household chores.

And then Madeline seems sad and sluggish without her, which only makes her mother's work more difficult. I don't really have any good ideas of how they could do things better right now.

The mom isn’t just getting takeout but trying to make her daughter’s favorite dish even though she clearly doesn’t ever cook, and now she’s open to teaching Madeleine how to do things right instead of yelling at her for the messy room.
