COMING ATTRACTIONS (A Week Full of Previews) - Update 10/01/2025

Hey ya'll, Ruby here! Hope all's well!

It certainly has been for me. I promised that I'd hit the ground running and I'm confident in saying that I did exactly that. After arriving back in the states, I have been relentlessly energized and I think it shows in all I'll have to offer over the course of the next week.

So. Haruspex, P3P, and 97 Poets. Let's start with this:

Persona 3 Portable: The only game where you can choose your gender.

100% done. All that's missing is the ad read and credits which are delayed because of Reasons. May make a couple minor tweaks before it goes live (as I am wont to do), but otherwise it is as it will appear on the channel very soon, and complete with about 5 more minutes than the last cut because I couldn't help myself and made a couple additions.

Overall, I think it turned out way better than I anticipated, some of the most fun I've ever had with a project to be honest. Have ideas for the big stuff that will follow after Haruspex, but this has definitely done a lot to motivate me to make some stuff under 1 hour again (particularly since it really only took about 2 weeks of work to fully put together).

Link will be getting posted along side this update. Hope you enjoy~

Pathologic, FTWWNPI (Haruspex's Route)

Rough cut of Day 7 is done. The intermission between Day 7 and Day 8 is also done. Day 8 is also also done.

This has pushed the runtime for the whole video past 4 hours and 50 minutes, officially christening it as the longest project this channel has ever seen.

So, if they're done, why am I not posting them now? Same reason as per usual: The foundation is done, but it's still not quite up to my standards to share. There's a couple more rounds of revisions to be made before it's ready for showtime, on Day 8 especially. It's about 90% there, but that last 10% still remains crucial. As such, here's the plan:

In the next day or two, I'll be posting Act I and Act II - Days 1 through 7 and everything that comes a long with that. This will also include a whole batch of new voice lines back-filled into the video. It's not quite 100% voice acting complete, but it's getting very, very close and that will be reflected in this edit.

Then, a couple days later, I'll be posting the Act II Intermission (another history lesson about Chekhov and looking at one of his greatest plays) and Day 8.

In other words, all of this will be dropping within the week.

97 Poets of Revachol: The Tale of Lumen Boulanger

a.k.a The Disco Elysium LARP story. I have not forgotten about this in the least.

The first three parts that I posted here earlier in the month amounted to around 14,000 words.

I have since doubled that.

This means that, in between editing around an hour for Haruspex and getting the finishing touches in order for the P3P video, I've also written 28,000 words this month, half of which I've yet to share. And the script still isn't done.

So again, why am I not posting it right now?

Well, two reasons:

First, much like with Patho, I've been doing my best to write each Day as it's own complete, self-contained narrative. I did much the same for Day One - wrote it out, broke it into pieces, and then gradually shared them as I become confident that they're up to snuff.

This ties into the second reason, namely that getting people to proof read a short novel's worth of text in under a week has (quite reasonably) been a big ask for most of the people who I'd typically have beta read my work. I'm not trying to treat this as a final draft as I know I'm going to rework all of this when it comes time to adapt it for video, but as ever, I want to make sure it's something I'm proud of. Or, at least, coherent.

With the P3P video in the can and Haruspex finally being back in a place I'm comfortable with though, I would expect the chapters for this to start rolling in again by the end of the week and then continue for probably the next month or so.

And, on a personal note: I'm still very excited to share this story. The more I write on it, the more it truly settles in just how wild almost every single piece of the experience truly was.

And I believe I shall leave it there for now and let the work speak for itself.

tl;dr You are about to get hit with SOOOOO much Content™, so stay tuned~

Love ya all,
Ruby <33
