2020-05-20 06:58:59 +0000 UTCit's not lagging. it's taking a very important breath. a good story needs its ups and downs, the exciting moments and human moments. this is the defining trait of all of my works. there is a few more slow pages and then it takes a running advance into the glorious world of bad decisions XD but in order for any of those to matter in the future, i need to establish the emotional chemistry between the pivotal couple of the story. in fact the best way to describe it would be, you know how lord of the rings movie starts all epic and then it cuts to a simple birthday parts in the shire? yeah it's pretty much that... and then things start picking up the pace :)

2020-05-17 22:40:43 +0000 UTCI love your storytelling. This wasn't "girl meets guy at college" and "they used to go to school together." That's the easy road, and it's fine but forgettable. You took the time to come up with a mini-story for how they first met, made me really buy that he's into photography (with that "melting the cheese" bit), and then folded that into the initial spark of attraction (she thought he was flirting). That took time and research and effort, and it paid off. Wow. Keep doing that!
