2024-04-02 15:41:26 +0000 UTCnew here but this is for sure their best album, love yourself tear is definitely a close second though. and i noticed jimins vocal regression and its sad bc i rlly don’t think it’s jimins fault at all… in more recent years he’s sort of been forced to sing in such a high voice with an unhealthy technique that eventually caused a regression :/ there are still moments where i really enjoy jimins voice though. but i think the other three vocalists have all improved especially tae! jin is very underrated and did great in the beginning when he had just learned how to sing

2023-09-01 06:55:06 +0000 UTCUghhh this album is just incredible to me. Rain is a criminally underrated BTS song, like top 10 in my ranking for sure. I love how we can have such similar but also different tastes because I adore Rain, but WOH and 2nd Grade are two of my favs on this album 😂

BTS has always had this ability to blend their rap and vocals into one cohesive song without needing to change the vibe (something that I find really lacking in more recent kpop). This album is how I fell in love with BTS and really what got me hooked on kpop. I am so glad that you will no longer be missing out on such good songs!!!

2023-07-29 19:53:13 +0000 UTCgod, i used to love their music so much. their sound definitely changed a lot as they got bigger (and busier), but their older works are undeniable masterpieces. even if i didn't like a song, the production was always so raw and true to them that i couldn't hate it. would recommend skool luv affair or their hyyh series next!

2023-07-29 19:46:29 +0000 UTCOne thing I adore about their early albums is the way Jungkook approached the tracks with his harmonies and background vocals paired with the quality of production. Its crazy how young he was carrying the vocal area like that. I love it especially in Rain, Like, Embarrassed, Could You Turn Off, and Do You think it makes sense.

2023-07-29 17:56:08 +0000 UTCDamn, I miss this sound. Your points about Jimin and V's vocals is one of the gripes I have about their music, current day. Not a fan of their current vocal techniques and it's unfortunate because they sounded so good on their old albums. This album, skool luv affair and LYS: tear are top albums for me with honourable mention the most beautiful moment in life series. Idk why production has regressed in kpop, you'd think it would get better as we grow more advanced but everything now sounds muffled or autotuned to death. Would it kill for people to harmonise and throw some adlibs on songs over 3min 30secs pls? I enjoyed this though, felt really nostalgic hearing these songs again. Hope to see more old bts album reactions.

It also shows how balanced they are as a group, like they pretty much have a bit of everything. And some of my absolute favourite BTS tracks come off this album too! And new boy groups: MORE ADLIBS, I want all of the adlibs!
