Surprisingly, I had a friend that lived there for seven years.

At 39:25 you said “making a wheel gun specifically for the new cartridge, the power stacks up” unless I misunderstood did you mean to say making an automatic tailored to the new cartridge?

At 5.30. It’s pronounced tib—a-dough. I’m married to a Thibodeaux! It’s Cajun French! No worries. Everyone gets it wrong. No need to correct! Love you guys and the series. Been with y’all since the beginning!

Excellent information on the famous pistol trials and a most insightful Maeversation too. ... Note to self, get typing.

Watching that recoil impulse on the high speed traveling through Mae, explains what happened to my brain after years of shooting Martini Henry and Sniders

First time hearing details of the animal test. Seems like an origin story of the Paul Harrell meat target.

Othias my man, I can't help but think you don't know your audience. Not wanting to hear the gruesome bits in detail? Hello, we'd cherish every disgusting second of it the sick lot we are! 😉🤣

How did they continue with the 45's recoil ? I know you do but also remember they were also shooting the Luger and Savage in 45 acp also. Stone sharpens stone.

I was always told that the Philipinos would bind their scrotums with wet rawhide and the pain from shrinkage made them more berzerk.

The Tokarev TT33 in 9mm has about the same grip angle, and is narrow, it hurts to shoot. Makes me want to shoot it with gloves. 1911's in .45, even Officer's Model size, are much easier to shoot.

Yeah, that's one of those things that once you know it, you can't ignore it any more. There's a YT'er that I enjoy [blonde cutie from the Netherlands] that does history stuff [Kaley? Don't recall how her name is spelled right now] that keeps mispronouncing "Neanderthal" w/ a soft "th" instead of saying it right. [insert Simpsons clip here, "Chow-DAH! Chow-DAH! Say it right!.."] 😄

11:38 The tests were not actually done at different ranges. "The charges for long and medium range were reduced so as to give the required velocity at three feet from muzzle, in order to insure hitting proper point with bullet."

This is an excellent episode in this series of the evolution of this pistol. I think this might be the best one yet. The anticipation is definitely building. If you cannot get one or both of the 1909 & 1910 and you are going to do a history-only segment, please consider combining them. Two history-only segments would quell the anticipation that you are so excellently building to perhaps the greatest firearms legacy of the Great War. Great job.

Outstanding evolution series! It’s fascinating to sit and ponder the thought process Browning went through to get to the icon 1911 knowing what we know today, I feel like if I was in the room and not able to comment I’d be smiling like “ you’re almost there!”

Lovely work, just a couple of editing notes, in the animation, just after 26.55, Mae says, "At all of the times" which sounds weird, not wrong, just weird and off putting. Then at about 45.44, Othais seems to stutter on the p of pistol. Cheers.
