Something along the lines of pay a monthly fee to the platform for ad free or reduced ad (say 5 second static image with no sound instead of 30s video clip) experience and the content creators get a view or upvote proportional cut of the fee after administrative cost?

2020-08-25 23:22:28 +0000 UTCI suspect that one of the reasons for Youtube's vague and opaque standards is advice from its lawyers. If you never explain your decisions, you avoid anyone arguing that they were relying on you to apply your standards uniformly. And so no creator can have any expectation of every getting any revenue (or even exposure) for any video. Props to Utreon for trying to take another path and I truly wish them best success in navigating the reliance issue (and overcoming the network issue).
