*addition I also love the guy who does the animations. And the folks who loan out their firearms. Hell, I love you all. Stay safe and whatnot.

Trojan Bullet

I love you all...Especially Othias and Mae. Oh yeah, the pig. I love that pig.

Trojan Bullet

No, it's not. Stop spreading ridiculous urban legends.

"BBQ"

C&Rsenal

As-is, the Model 8 is extremely unsuited for combat duty because there is no good way to field-strip it for cleaning. It's detail strip or nothing, and it is very complex to detail strip.

Chris Hamlin

Actually the US has been relatively quick to learn lessons while fighting, they just tended to forget about them when the war is over.

Mr. Lee

Great episode! After seeing your comments, I would love to see a series n "spy weapons" and would love to see you develop a disassembly series on full30.com perhaps with other creators or not.

William Kreh

As a Memphian, I have opinions about BBQ that might cause Othais' head to explode. Regardless, awesome episode, y'all! I especially like how loose it gets for the last hour or so.

Jackson Darr

Great Video, thanks guys. Didn't think my question would get answered, since I just threw it in there without much thought, but I also think the Remington model 8 would be best suited for larger adoption. Maybe it would have steered everyone toward other intermediate cartridges sooner too.

Coatl

Ah another China uncensored sub. 👍

I am a big fan of Kel-Tec and have if not all, most of the commercially produced pistols. I will soon be getting the rifles I"m missing. One of the least know, may be my P-40.

brian armstrong

Thank for answering my question, so well. Your show has definitely inspired me to get off my hind end and start researching at least one fire arm. Hopefully to an acceptable standard. Thanks again for all of the work y'all put in for a great show.

BBQ Sauce War Were Declared! Coastal South Carolina BBQ sauce: 1 quart cider vinegar & 1 tablespoon mustard...

I don't know how you managed to keep a 3 hour q&a engaging, but it felt like sitting around talking to range buddies at the end of the day. Thouroughly entertained as always.

Mr. Lee

Ohio, sucks.

Jeff Price

Why do all the trees in Kentucky lean to the North?

Jeff Price

Indeed. Ooh - look at all those issues of "American Rifleman"...perhaps furlough won't be so bad after all.

John S Wren

Regarding your comments on bullpups, have y'all ever heard of or shot any desert tech rifles? Theyre multical platforms & are stupid accurate. Once the virus goes away there are matches out in Cali that go from ~130 to ~900 yards. I can also teach y'all how to shoot out at distance.

Wayne S Gallagher

Othias, I would hug you right this instant! I work for a mortuary and we deal with diseases that are orders of magnitude more dangerous than this seasonal flu. I'm less worried about Corvid than half the things people die from.

Tiger in man's clothing

In California it's illegal to applaud because morons can't tell the difference between clapping and gunshots.

Tiger in man's clothing

You could post just about anything and I will watch it. You would have to fundamentally change the focus of the channel for me to stop watching.

Tiger in man's clothing

I'm not sure some didn't learn, but do what with such knowledge. Congress...and indeed the whole nation....gave little regard to funding basically a frontier army organized and equipped to deal with natives and bandits. There was little thought to engaging in a European war....or any adversary on a technologically equal basis. In a democracy a military forces can't go beyond the limits of its civilian masters....no matter how short sighted they may be.

Richard Anderson

In 1910 the US already had experience in Mexico and the successful use of the one Chauchat used to repulse Poncho Villa's little incursion should have been a wake up call. Not only for the need for MGs but need for things like cars and trucks for transport. Not only did the US Army not learn from the Russo-Japanese war, but they didn't learn anything from the brushes with the Mexican Revolution.

Tiger in man's clothing

agreed

Well you have my thanks. As a person whose life is relatively normal for another month at least, my best wishes go out to you and everyone else seeing your lives flipped upside down.

As always, a thoroughly enjoyable listen. I look forward to each and every one of your videos, regardless of content.....and the Q/A videos lets us know you more as individuals and just not the talking heads with a wall full of guns.

Ah, Hunter Trader Trapper. I've spent some happy hours reading copies looking for evidence of the Swiss Vetterli in America. It's certainly an..eye opener...and what is the obsession about Ginseng - seriously, every edition has multiple ads for "Ginseng opportunities for sale"!

John S Wren

Thank you guys for taking the time to record this. It made my day go by much quicker. The Kel-Tec video would be cool, as would a Primer on Othais’ Sub-2000. Outside of the materials and tacticool bits, there’s nothing that would make it impossible to construct in WW1, might be cool to compare it to the Winchester 1910

Chris Stochaj

@ 2:15 (wrt pricing of bargain ARs) -- I'll just throw this out there for all the Gen Y'rs & Millennials who might be watching: my 1st AR was purchased at the end of the '80s when Bush Sr's AW import ban was about to go into effect & CA was beginning down the road to turn into the PRK. All said & done, it as $900 for a Bushmaster HB model [that would pass muster for NRA High Power Service Rifle competition.] Jump forward 20 years and at the peak of the Obamanation run on guns from his threatened ban [NB: I just had a run-in w/ a co-worker who like many so-called "independents" doesn't realize just how much he tows the DNC party line who claimed "Obama never said he was going to ban guns..." How soon we forget! %p ] and it still cost ~$1k for an AR-15 [more for an AR10 clone, which had become a thing], but of course, those FRN$ were only worth 1/2 of what they had been when I got my AR because of the hidden tax of inflation. Jump forward another decade & we now find you can get an AR that is manifestly superior in all facets to my '80s M16A2-based AR, for 1/2 the price, which is actually 1/4 the price (or less!) in constant dollars. RE-effin-JOICE MY BRETHREN, FOR WE ARE LIVING IN THE PROMISED LAND! Buy'em cheap & stack'em deep, because we may never pass this way again! JMNSHO & experience. #HeedTheVoiceOfExperience

What a great way to start my day in my fortress of solitude. 2 hours in & loving every minute of it! Y'all gotta stop calling it "Corona" or "COVID-19" & referring to this plague as the "CCP virus" so everyone will remember who's to blame for this nonsense we're all (hopefully) living thru. BTW, do y'all have a P.O. box I could send some totchkas to? Won a couple of $5 gas card prizes but there's no Marathon stations here, & when I go visit friends back east where there *might* be one, I guarantee the cards will be left behind in my desk drawer. Y'all may get some PIK support from your fans if we just knew where to throw it... :-)

Bruce Brodnax

You'd be a problem too if you went back home & the pretty countryside was paved down the middle & replaced with shopping malls... [ObRef: Pretenders] ;-)

Question: which of Crozier’s sacks says “potato” on it?

Jack Fairbrother

Othais is right the problem is Ohio (guy from Michigan)

Mae Responding: Totally have, they look awesome like that. Side note: we nearly talked Ian into mounting the VP to a trailer and shooting it while being driven around. It was hilarious hearing him just stop mid-sentence and ponder it.

Very excited for the next poster/patch campaign!

Omg thank you 🙏🏻 For 3 hours off the boredom train, you are literally saving my sanity, my job is regarded as essential so I’m doing 12 on 12 off so YouTube is my lunch/dinner at work escape 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Ben Clayton

Aaaaaaaaaw shit! I’ve got a driveway with paving that needs pressure washing and sanding. Thank you for supplying this for my ear holes :D

Jack Fairbrother

Othais you could ask Vbbsmyt to animate that Manlicher patent. It's his hobby

David Herman

Nice been waiting for this. Will admit comment at 1:32ish was off putting, even desire killing when this was the subject of emails months ago. Any how, nice work on 3 fun hours of content. Not many can pull that off!

Gary Newman

I said last week I was slightly disappointed until I saw the Bloke involved. Today was the same until I saw three hours, this May take a few days to consume. But if you deliver this kind of content when you can’t meet the regular schedule, for whatever reason, my money is very well spent.

Shaun Young

Re: the Villa Perosa, have you seen the pictures of the Villa Perosa mounted on a bicycle for bicycle troops, as well as towing a standard machine guns mounted on bicycle trailers?

Charles Adams

Love the content!

This is Mae responding: Ya'll stay healthy as well!

C&Rsenal

I hope you all stay healthy! I'll watch this for the next 3 hours!
