But is there a possibility that your M12 is a bit worn inside or there were differences in the safety? If I put the safety on on mine with the hammer down, there is no way to push it forward to strike the firing pin, I'm pretty sure it would also prevent firing if it would fall on the hammer. It's a 1918 serial number with austrian army acceptance mark.
