Creating a book: Drone boot camp

I will be using part of this month to turn Drone Boot Camp into a book, which I will submit to Smashwords. I will be revising the order of initial events, altering dialogue, exploring each character’s journey more and adding more descriptions of the process and their reactions. I expect this to perhaps double the length.
My goal is to publish before the end of the year and have at least a physical copy in my hand in time for the holidays.
I will provide updates as I write and once it publishes I will let you all know.
I have wanted to write a book ever since I was little, but was daunted by the word count, editing, finding an editor/publisher, and, more recently, finding the right niche. So I am giddy with excitement as I try self publishing through Smashwords and can’t wait to actually do this.
One thing I do need to figure out is the cover art for the story. I am open to suggestions as I am not sure what to do for this part.
