Avast and Acrobat Reader for Android

This is a post about something different for a change, about third-party programs.

<s>Good</s> Misleading News from Avast

I have just gotten the following reply from Avast:

______________________

 Hi again,

Our virus specialists have now adjusted the license so it should be compatible even with the versions "v12.98" "v12.99" as well.

This change may take few days to take effect in Avast installations.

We are sorry for the inconvenience. If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to contact me again.

Best Regards,
The Avast Support Team

Thus, hopefully, I can soon remove the warning on DMs Guild about Avast falsely flagging the file as a virus. Until the next update at least...

EDIT 2017-05-29: Several days later and Avast is still detecting the sheet as containing a virus. I have contacted Avast again and the whole process has to be started all over again. At this rate I hope this will be fixed before the end of the year..

Help with Adobe Acrobat for Android Feature Request

Please help me get this bug report for Acrobat Reader for Android to the top!  I would greatly appreciate it if you would follow this link and vote that bug report to the top.

As some of you might have noticed, if you open the sheet in Adobe Acrobat for Android, not everything works as you would want it to.

Unfortunately, Adobe doesn't have any plans to add JavaScript support to there Acrobat for mobile devices, so that point is mute.

But on top of that, there a many other annoying bugs in there mobile applications. One of them is the fact that you can still click on form fields even though they are set to hidden. On the sheet that results in it being impossible to click on the Hit Point fields, as the following, overlaying warning message is there (which is only visible if opening the sheet with the wrong software).

Avast users - heads-up: you might be giving up your private browsing history to the highest bidder, per https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/qjdkq7/avast-antivirus-sells-user-browsing-data-investigation

That is unfortunate! Because I just found out that Avast is finally, after all the back-and-forth, no longer falsely detecting the sheet as containing a virus. Is the virus database for your AVG up to date? Can you please upload the sheet that is being flagged as a virus to <a href="https://virustotal.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://virustotal.com/</a> and post a link to the scan results?

Not that I know. There is no mobile PDF reader that has the full features of Adobe Acrobat for OS X or Windows. The best you can do is use the "Flatten" button to disable all the fields that you don't need during regular play and thus removing the possibility that you change something that would normally trigger some automation. After you have flattened the sheet like this, you can use it in any PDF viewer on a mobile device (although some apps might destroy the JavaScript in the file, so I recommend using Adobe Acrobat Reader even on mobile devices). You just won't be able to use any of the automation/calculations in the sheet. See the FAQ for more on this.

Is there a way to make the file useable for PDF expert on iPad?
