WOW! That was really insightful. I do remember us having a conversation about starting over from scratch with a new profile. To this day, it was the best "PSN" decision I've ever made. Nuking my old account wasn't fun but starting over relieved so much stress and pressure. Once that weight was lifted off my shoulders trophy hunting felt fresh again. I'm glad you have a plan in place to get your backlog cleaned up. Keep us posted on your progress. :)

2022-11-03 20:27:12 +0000 UTCOn my old account (which I use for casual game play) the backlog was real, I was a trophy hunter back then but just not as serious about it, I think I only had about 25 platinum trophies at the time, I had been a subscriber of your old channel for sometime but didn’t use your rtc guides til later and I used your dark souls guide, it was always a game I wanted to do but never did because I didn’t know what to do, I remember thanking you for helping me get through that game and that’s when I became a serious fan of this channel as well as a taking trophy hunting more serious, i became a patron somewhere in that time, I waited on making a new account because I was obviously worried about the progress I had already made as well as playing dark souls again lol but then you made a new channel and I thought to myself, if you could start all over, I could do it too, I know it’s not to the same scale as you had a public following and mine was just for me, I also remember saying to you that you inspired me to make a new account just for platinum trophies, I’ve been playing on the new account since 2019 and I’m now on 54 platinums, I could be on more but I had a break towards the end of last year to recharge the batteries, went hard at the games I played this year, I started Witcher 3 in September and like you I got sick, I got Covid after attending a rugby game and was sick for 2 weeks, I still haven’t fully recovered, I had all the symptoms and it took a lot out of me, I haven’t gone back to Witcher properly yet, I think my mind and body is burnt out again with gaming as I haven’t really had the energy to play, so you could say I’m in a rut and Witcher is now in my backlog, I recently started stray to see if it could bring back that spark I had but I’m not sure it has as of yet, so now that is in my back log lol so you could say I have 2, I think I’m going to do what I do last year and take a break and come back strong next year and finish Witcher 3 and stray as my first 2 platinums of the year, up until now I played games 1 at a time as I thought it would be best to complete, earn the platinum and then start a new game so I definitely agree with what you said, it gave me urgency to actually earn the platinum so that I could play the next game, I promise I will finish Witcher and stray and then I’ll be back to normal, great podcast as always and take care! Sorry for the long comment lol
