Good morning cutie,
If you’re anything like me, it can be really hard to find mental health professionals who seem down-to-earth and collaborative. Or maybe you find someone you like but they’re inaccessible from a price or availability standpoint. That’s where online resources can help out.
I’ve been absorbing a lot from Emma McAdam on YouTube lately, and wanted to share her work with you. She’s a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist who offers practical tools to deal with anxiety / depression, self-advocacy, setting boundaries, healing from trauma responses, and more. Many of her resources are shared for free, and others are bundled into paid courses and workbooks.
If you’re on this patreon, I’ll assume you relate to me, which is why I feel confident to share someone whose work usually rings true for me. But it’s so important to scrutinize public voices (self included) and measure their words against your instincts and lived experiences. We all have biases and opinions that impact the way we frame things; professionals are not exempt from that.
With that said, if you like this video then I encourage you to keep exploring her YouTube channel. Maybe it will be of service for you. 🙏
With love,
Morgan
