The Antifada

I built up an etsy store over covid. I describe it as a visual culture, agit prop store where I sell patches, stickers, prints, stuff like that. I'm also getting a large format industrial printer later in the year. My two questions are, can I join the group if I'm self employed as an artisan/small business owner (just me, no employees) and can I put my industrial printer to good use with your cause in the future? It'll be large format 54"

The Fine Art Revolution

This episode was really helpful. I have a better grip on what LIF is about. Looking forward to contributing

it was the house band of the Soviet-aligned Workers' Party, aligned with the social-democratic Manley government in the '70s. Manley courted Reggae musicians and fans, and Rastafarians with promises of equal playtime on radio, tolerance from the police, and land reform. Manley's political defeat, and the back-to-Africa fantasies of Rastafarianism, made the alliance short-lived

I think that’s a good point. The IWW also already has deep international connections beyond it’s own international membership. It has a lot of experienced industrial/business researchers, in fact a permanent committee in the organizing department that is dedicated to that.

Fellow Worker

I haven't used discord in a while i may pop in some time ,im starting a new job at a manufacturer and i gotta get a feel for that place, but i can already tell the general manager is a psycho prick so it should be interesting

I think it’s interesting that you have basically described the IWW (warts and all). I’m not on Discord so I won’t be able to attend these meetings you’re holding (plus I’m neck deep in IWW organizing efforts) but I look forward to seeing what you come up with. The IWW is militantly anti-electoral politics so maybe that’s why the Antifada seems to never invite IWWs onto the show even though the One Big Union is often mentioned here. I think one issue we wobs face is the fact that much of the work we do is not public so it would appear we aren’t active. The point is that we don’t see a need to be public about our organizing because it doesn’t get the workers anything but trapped in US legalism. Anyhow, I look forward to the day that y’all have a chance to understand the IWW better.
