Episode 13 - Progress Update #4

The writing is done except for the recap sequence, which is already written from the previous episode. Renders are done. Animations are done except for the formatting for the game.

The main things I have to work on are the coding and the editing. The coding consists of:

-Making sure your choices are recorded

-Making sure you're sent down the right paths according to your decisions like who you're pursuing

-Adding sound effects

-Adding music and making sure it plays in all of the right places

Once I finalize coding, I can start doing some playthroughs for editing. In playthroughs, my priority is to make sure that nothing is broken. After that, I edit for both mistakes and dialogue. That means fixing typos, renders, and coding things. And then I edit the dialogue to make sure that the quality of writing is up to par.

Right now, the episode is complete but just missing all of the things mentioned above. You can play it but some music would be missing or wrong, there wouldn't be sound effects or animations, and there'd probably be a bunch of typos.

Depending on when you're reading this, I should be doing the final coding and start playing this weekend. I was hoping to have it finished now so that you would be able to play it on the weekend but I didn't. No excuses. I apologize for those of you who were looking forward to it soon and might have expected something today.

I don't have timetables or release dates. I feel like if I gave you one now, I would be jinxing things. I see the finish line close and I just need to polish things. I'd rather you wait a few days than have to play something with a lot of bugs/typos/mistakes that ruin the experience. This is an important episode for certain characters and I want to make sure it's nice and proper.
