Philosophy #28 | Lost Time

There's an imbalance with the sex you've had between the characters. Some ladies you've had sex with multiple times. Some you haven't even kissed or seen naked. For the ladies you haven't done anything with, specifically Riley and Vanessa, I have their stories already mapped out. I know that some of you are anxious for something to happen. I just wanted to address some things to let you all know that I'm aware of this and go in-depth with more specific reasons as to why some it hasn't happened yet.
1. The story is paramount. We're all here for the sex. I know the ladies are the draw. But I built their stories around the MC and the journey you go through as him. When things do happen, I want it to be satisfying sexually but also in a logical sense that fits the overall flow of the story.
2. Because the story is paramount and I want to be as logical as I could in a story that's already filled with a lot of ridiculousness, I have to create the imbalance between the characters. You've had sex with Erika before. You win a major fight at the Proving Grounds. It only seems appropriate that one way to celebrate is to tell her you want to have sex again. And if you're pursuing her, it makes sense she would be more than willing to accept.
I can write her out every now and then but eventually I have to do it because I can't keep writing her out simply because you've already done it before. If you're pursuing Erika and you want to bang her again, why not? It might get tiresome if you've already seen it before but I consider this with every new scene and try to take things another step further if I can, even if it's only a small step. So while this doesn't seem fair when comparing content, it makes sense to me in terms of the logic of the story.
3. Every episode is a small piece of the puzzle and part of a bigger picture. When you play through an episode, you might not get the piece that you were looking for. Until the entire game is a finished product and the story is concluded, you won't have all of the pieces. I try my best to give you something to look at with every episode but I can't have everything happen in every episode.
Just like in any book or movie or TV show or video game, there isn't going to be a giant battle in every scene. There isn't going to be a dramatic confrontation in every character interaction. There isn't going to be a shocking revelation or a character-defining moment with every conversation. All of those things happen but they don't happen constantly because there are moments around them that lead to them. I think it's necessary so that when they do happen, they have the impact from what happened previously in the story.
4. It just doesn't make sense to me for things to happen immediately. I know why Vanessa is the way she is and it'll be explained why. And if you've been paying close attention to certain dialogues, the same goes for Riley. When everything comes together, I'm hoping that it all makes sense to you because I've been looking at my outlines for a long time and it all makes sense to me.
I know that from a practical standpoint, none of this matters. You see an update. You play through the update. You don't have sex with the girl you like and you're disappointed. I know that feeling. You're just kinda treading water waiting for something to happen. I can't do anything to alleviate that disappointment. I can only keep putting out episodes as often as I can until we get there.
I hope that you'll keep in mind some of these things while you're playing through an update and feel like nothing happened. I'll summarize them as this. One, you are making progress, even if it doesn't seem like it. Two, it will happen eventually when the time is right. Three, when it does happen it will fit within the context of the entire story.
It's tough to ask you to look at the big picture. But even though I develop the game episode by episode, everything is connected to create one final product. Until then, you're playing an unfinished product.
And finally, because there is an imbalance between the characters and the amount of content they get, the imbalance will be corrected eventually. Earlier, I said it was unfair that some girls get more scenes than other girls. The responsibility of correcting that imbalance while also making it logical is mine. So, I'll fix it. I have lots of thorough ideas to explore all of the sexual fantasies, kinks, and desires you may or may not have with every girl with multiple scenes. We just have to get to that point. It won't be one scene that happens and that's it. To say it as plainly as I can, I want to fill up the replay gallery as much as I can with every girl. I will do my best to make up for the lost time.
Walls of text suck compared to actual playable content but I just wanted to say this just to let you all know that I hear you. I can't give out any spoilers but I will say that we're close. I appreciate your patience. Riley and Vanessa do, too.
Also, I'm writing this kinda late and I'm a bit distracted, so I apologize if it seems like I'm rambling or things are unclear. Riley and Vanessa are popular so I always look for an excuse to talk about them if I can.
On Episode 13
Animations were a little trickier than I expected because there were so many of them but they're pretty much finalized. I've written out a few scenes as well. Because it's a shorter episode in terms of story, there aren't many scenes to write. My plan is to use this weekend to tackle a few of the longer scenes. By next week, I'm hoping I'll only have the small scenes to wrap-up. Should be a fun episode even if it's just for the sex.
I'm going to try and get some polls up this month. As we get closer to an episode being finished, I tend to lose track of time and my focus shifts, so we'll see if I can get anything outside of the update done.
Thanks for reading and hanging-out this month. Send me a message if you've got anything to ask or tell me. Take care and I'll see you next week with a (hopefully) big progress update.
