Dear Supporters
I thought it would be fun this year to re-release our end of year song Retromance with a new music video made using AI Art.
As you may know, AI Art systems such as Google DeepDream and OpenAI use a convolutional neural network to find and enhance patterns in images via algorithmic pareidolia, creating a dream-like psychedelic appearance that is at times interpreted as the dreams of computers. This video was created by feeding a series of retrocomputing & nostalgic Christmas text prompts into the AI engine to produce an evolving series of frames the length of this Xmas song itself. It's fascinating what the computer came up with!

2021-12-15 17:53:04 +0000 UTCI got my C128 in 1985 for Christmas with all the fixings (1571, monitor, printers...) It was a great Christmas memory. I am recreating that Christmas this year in 2021 but annoying the piss out of my wife about a C64 Maxi... leaving hints, talking about it, talking about the glory days of Commodore gaming... Today when I woke up and turned on the tree lights, I saw a new wrapped package under the tree that looks to be about the 'right size'. Pretty sure just like when I was kid, annoying my parents for a Commodore has worked yet again now at 48 years old with my wife. Reliving memories. Nostalgia.
