Thanks! I'd say that's very likely! Try swapping their positions. Have a look on fleaBay for a replacement if you get a different fault. ๐๐น๏ธ

Iโve got an A1200 that seems to think the external floppy has read/write errors... regardless of floppy, and regardless of drive (I have 2 external drives, both work fine in the A500, both โfaultyโ on the A1200. I wonder if I have a fault on the A1200 version of the CIA chips...
