New to the Patreon but old hat at listening to you all. Here are my two questions: What was the most exciting or rewarding experience you each had as players or keepers? What is something you have always wanted to accomplish as a storyteller but have not?

Jonah Criswell

I've always gone for natural yeasts, nothing added. Just a bit of sugar when bottling for sparkle. - Paul

What's your preferred yeast culture for making ciders? My spontaneous fermentions have been a little funky, but I've had nice results with my sourdough culture and with brettanomyces. I'm sure ale and bread yeasts are fine as well.

Late to the game but still have a question. When writing a scenario, do you think of overall theme for a Call of Cthulhu scenario? I find myself writing a story for my group and later realize there is a theme to it, such as "sins passed down" or "people are their own undoing", but I'd be interested to know if y'all professionals identify these things beforehand to help create?

Sam Windham

As authors published by Chaosium, what advice do you have for aspiring scenario writers? (Playtesting, editing process, what makes a scenario publishable, etc) How has your experience with Miskatonic Repository / DriveThru RPG compared to working directly with Chaosium?

Dave Kracker

Ooh this a good one! I think the FromSoft game Bloodborne has some of what you might be looking for depending on what ending you go with

Juju

Would it be possible to run a game that was the reverse of Cthulhu, where you started out insane in a world with a risen old one and had to work your way back to sanity?

When scenario writing for publishing to Miskatonic Repository etc and having a scenario inspired by a real person or actual place: what are your thoughts on using the actual persons name / place vs renaming/relocating? Are there any legal issues with using a real person/building from history and using real names? Does legality mean less if the place no longer standing?

Scott Smith

I believe that when you all did the episode on Kult it was before the new 4e had come out. What do you guys think of the new edition? Did the switch to PbtA mechanics address your complaints about the tedious combat?

Thomas Funck

What games have you always wanted to play, but never had the opportunity?

Derek Robertson

Matt, you write great scenarios with lots of human interaction and drama (as well as subtle horror), and yet any time we hear of you playing, you just seem to blow stuff up with dynamite. Why is that? ;)
