A Love Lost

I spent three days on this one, so yes definite effort was made despite my attempts NOT to put too much into it. . . And it's mostly because I've been so dead ass tired! It's hard to concentrate lol.
James has also been asking me for awhile to come up with design tweaks for these characters, henceforth, I applied such changes to them in this illustration. Mother I haven't done too much to change, but Father I've added some tats, tweaked his skin and hair colors, and also settled on silver jewelry rather than gold to express how he is weaker and less glamorous than his wife. However, of one thing to note is that all his gems are golden colored whereas none of hers are. ;)
Father's tats shimmer a bit and glow faintly under the right lighting. I'm unsure yet what purpose they serve, but one idea is that it has something to do with the crystals he makes his people from. Mother does not need them because she is much more powerful, but in some ways I think they may be connected through his runes. If that is so, then perhaps she needs him more than she thinks.
