Update - Emi hot tub shot from behind

This week I wanted to talk a little bit about a new technique I'm developing for rendering some close ups, particularly nudes for the girls. The picture above is an example of this new approach in action - what do you think? I think Emi looks pretty good there.

You might recognise the scene from the shot I've shown before of Emi in the hot tub. Previously I showed her in a bikini, but here's a nude version here:

So what's the big deal about this technique? Well, to be frank, up to now I've had a big difficulty showing good butt shots. The models I use are an older design that I work with because they give a specific look that I like for my visual style. I'm not interested in using the more common "realistic" style that you see quite a lot in adult games; I have my own sort of hyper-real animated style which deliberately doesn't look like other renders and to achieve that I'm using these older models.

Unfortunately, while they're mostly pretty functional they just don't bend the way I want them to in some joints. More modern models have way better bending capabilities around the hips and thighs, and there are better genital options available for them too. I've thought about switching over to the most modern models, but they just don't have the right general look in the face and head.

But what I'm doing here is getting two very similar models and making them appear (I think) convincingly to be the same model in different shots. That way I can use the better generation 4 model where I need to, but the more flexible generation 8 model will be able to seamlessly take over for some shots.

What do you think? Can you tell any difference between the two? I'd appreciate some feedback because I haven't actually shown off this technique before. Let me know in the comments!

That's basically it, yeah. I actually already have multiple versions of every character model for different outfits, because that can affect the physical morphs of the character, so it's not that different really to the pre-existing technique, except that this model has a more specific use.

So effectively, there may be angles/shots which use a stunt double, as long as the face isn't seen?
